Just another invitation…
This was the first invitation from Miyagi-san at 1800. He picked us up and went to his house nearby with Amran and Zainun.
I was holding a chicken satay made from a halal chicken bought by Miyagi-san from a nearby shop. The gravy? Local made (to our taste) by ourselves. We talked a lot about Miyagi-san's experience in Malaysia and other foreign countries including Africa, Sri Lanka and many others.
Enough with satay, we proceed with fried 'yakisoba' Malaysian style. I was unsure whether Miyagi himself or his wife cooked the fried mee. Miyagi said, when he was in Jitra, Kedah for two years [1985-86 building highways], he tried many varieties of Malaysian foods. Almost everyday, he ate rice with 'kangkong' (a kind of vegetable).
Where was Imran? Oh.. behind the camera -- taking the picture.
