1st day of Selling Malaysian Food at the University

In the morning, Azad and I went to grocery to buy some additional materials. Then, Azad visited a Japanese family from whom he borrowed other kitchen utensils, and several gas tanks. On the way to the university, we stopped by at the yakisoba (OKIKO) and bread factory. Arriving at the tent, the time was already 1000.

He started cooking half-an-hour after that.

His wife, Zainun, Kak Lela came around at the same time and they also started making 'karipap'.

The sale went good. A lot of 'yakisoba' were sold to guests.

Later on the day, Kak Sara and Nakahara-san arrived.

They also helped this couple selling Malaysian goods. Some other Indonesians, Azad's friends, were also lend a helping hand.

Zainun was tired and decided to directly go back to hotel where she was staying until 26-Nov-97. Kak Lela sent her to the hotel later that evening.

The sale continued until around 2100.

Went home at 2200.

Zainuddin promised to drop by to prepare 'karipap' dough for the next day. But since until 2330 he was not there yet, we ate dinner then. I helped this couple peeling off potatoes ('inti karipap') before Zainuddin and Fadli (botol) arrived. Since I was so tired, I didn't wait but went to sleep. I was sleeping when they took this photo.
