Lair of the Bear -- Camp Blue, Week 9, August 1999

We're starting a new family tradition!  This year, Lynn, Clay, Dawn and Stephanie joined us for the whole week, while Glen and Steve arrived on Wednesday.  Next year, you should come too!  (Thanks, Dawn, for scanning and emailing most of these pix.)

Clay, Kate and Stephanie: All smile, all week.

Your basic mealtime scene.  Kristen heads up the table with (going clockwise) Lynn, Glen, Clay, Colleen, Stephanie Sr., Kent, Stephanie Jr., Steve, Dawn and Kate.  (The invisible Theresa was taking the picture.)

As tradition dictates, we mangle a song for the Blue Review.  This year, we did in Steve Goodman's "The Twentieth Century Is Almost Over," adding a few Lair-ified verses.  (Lyrics available upon request, for a small fee.)

Lair champs!!  Kent and Stephanie Sr. (not pictured) won the Parent/Teen 2-person Volleyball Tournament, while Clay was the 12 and Under Checkers CHAMPION!  And he's only 5!  The kid plays a mean game.  Look out, world, a checkers dynasty has begun.

Kristen, Clay and Stephanie show off their tye-dyes.

Dawn was Queen of the Lanyards. Do you know where your keys are??

Posin' with the Bear on Saturday morning.

Still smiling after a week at the Lair ... you'd think their cheeks would hurt by now.

And on the way home, one last Taco Bell fix.  Kate, Colleen, Stephanie Jr. and Stephanie Sr. slam down some burritos and caffeinated beverages.
