Anza Oyama (Sometimes just ANZA): First Sailor Moon in the Live Musical and singer. (Sang Openings for Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura) She's fantastic, also half South African (just a little trivia).
Hideaki Anno: Director of Eva and Kare Kanno. I think that he's a genius, but he also seems to piss Gainax off a lot.
Hayao Miyazaki: Manga artist, producer, and founder of Studio Ghibli I believe. If you haven't heard of him, then how about Mononoke Hime, Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro), Laputa, or Nausicca (Warrios of the Wind)?
Hisashi Jo: Composer for many of Ghibli's films
Kia Asamiya: Manga artist, creator of Silent Mobius, Nadesico, and Steam Detectives.
Naoko Takeuchi: Manga artist, creator of Sailor Moon.
Okui Masami: Singer, apparently has done a lot of roles. I like the songs that I've heard her do.
Yoko Kanno: Great Musician, composed Op to Lodoss TV, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne and much more.
