• Stuff repeats. Shinji screams again.
• Eva 01 calls the Spear of Longinus back from the Moon. It flies to Earth toward Eva 01, stopping only feet away from Eva 01's throat.
• The wings of Eva 01 formed a cross and the other Evas flew onto the wings, bit down, and went into formation. The nine Evas from the Eva series and Eva 01 form the Tree of Life .
• Third Impact begins. An explosion engulfs Japan, China, and Korea. Update 1-1-99. The geofront is revealed to be a black orb called "Lilith's egg"
• Update 9-20-98. Third Impact is basically all the Evas creating an Anti-At field. All humans, angels, life forms, etc. are held together by an AT field. The Anti-AT field destroys all the barriers and all souls combine into one, the way it was at the beginning of time, so SEELE say.
• Meanwhile, Rei and Gendo are looking at each other. Rei's left arm falls off and her bone is exposed.
• Update 9-20 The arm falls off because Rei is having difficulty maintaining her AT field.
• Gendo says that he has Adam with him and he reaches out and touches Rei's breast, penetrating it, and reaches down into her torso.
• Gendo tells Rei to bring him to Lilith, but Rei says she's not his doll. Update 1-1-99. Rei absorbs Gendos arm and regenerates her own arm.
• Rei flies up and when in front of Lilith she says "I'm back" or "I'm home" or something and enters.
• Lilith absorbs Rei and all the little legs dissapear. Lilith leaves the cross and the masks falls. The face of Lilith is... Rei's!
• Makoto detects a pattern blue below and quickly approaching, but the Magi say that it is a human and not an angel.
• Lilith (Giant Rei) rises up through Central Dogma. Her hand passes through Maya, which causes Maya to cover her head and scream.
• The spear enters Eva 01's orb and changes it into the Tree of Life. Fuyutsuki comments that humanity's fate lies in the son of Ikari's hands.
• The black egg floats into the sky like a moon and appears as the Earth is covered in red dots (Human souls).
• Lilith tries to take Eva 01. (Lilith is so much bigger than Eva 01). Shinji freaks out, but then Rei splits and part of her becomes Kaoru. Shinji is elated.
• Shinji enters his mind again. People ask him what he wants. The train scene is revisited, but Misato and Asuka are there this time. (What's so special about trains in Japanese culture?)
• Shinji has a flashback. He remembers a time when he wanted to build a sand castle, but there was no one there to help him, so he had to built it himself. Shinji finishes a pyramid castle, but when done, Shinji destroys it, and he cries.
• Update 1-1-99 This next scene is in Shinji's head. Shinji enters the room to try to be Asuka's friend, but Asuka just reacts by telling Shinji hard truths about himself. Then she pushes him into the coffeemaker, and hot coffee pours on Shinji.
• Asuka looks down on him and calls him pathetic as Shinji begs her for help. Asuka is silent as Shinji gets angry and flips a table. Then Shinji rises says "Help me" on last time, the scene cuts back to Asuka with a stern face and the character "No" next to her. Shinji begins to strangle her.
• Back in the present, the white Evas assimilate Lilith and develop a grotesque version of Rei's face. They begin pushing their Spear replicas into their red cores.
• The song Kom, susser Tod plays. It means Come, Sweet death in German.
• Dreams start to mix with reality. Reis everywhere, taking on the forms of whatever people's dreams are! One Rei floats over Makoto (Glasses), then transforms into Misato spirit or duplicate or whatever kisses him, and he explodes into LCL. Shigeru huddled in a corner as a wall of naked Reis giggle behind him. One Rei smacks him in the back and he explodes. Fuyutski looks up and sees Rei, who becomes Yui, they hug and he turns into LCL. Maya is scared witless till Ritsuko gives her a hug and she explodes into LCL and hands.
• Reis stand next to all of the dead bodies in Nerv. All the bodies are turning into LCL.
• Meanwhile, at SEELE. All the different SOUND ONLY boards are dissapearing, leaving Keel as the last member. Then Keel explodes into LCL and some machine stuff is shown inside it. (Was Keel the Roman who spit on Jesus and was cursed to forever walk the Earth till Third Impact?)
• Gendo doesn't go to the apparition of Yui, though. Gendo then gives a Shinjish speech about not wanting to be close to others because it only brings pain later. Kaoru appears and says Gendo is like Shinji. Yui then says something about him refusing to be part of everything. A phantom Eva 01 appears and grabs Gendo. Gendo says "I'm sorry my son" and is bitten in half by Eva 01.
• Shinji and Rei/Lilith then talk about reality and how Shinji can choose whatever reality that he wishes. Shinji and Rei... um... discuss this while naked. Shinji describes the scene as dreamlike, and Rei informs him that dreams are a part of reality.
• Shinji sees Yui and asks her if this world is fulfilling. Yui tells him that only he can decide.
• Misato and Asuka's voices are heard.
• While Rei tells Shinji about the nature of humanity, Misato explains to Shinji about sexuality. Images of her and Kaji making love are shown to Shinji (A fan is next to Misato's bed. Connection to the fan in Misato's mind in Episode 26.)
• Lilith develops a third eye and Eva 01, in the form of a cross, drops down into Lilith.
• Something goes wrong? Lilith falls apart and of humanity's souls are released in the atmosphere.
• Eva 01 goes out of the eye of Lilith. The Spear changes from into a double edged weapon.
• The world is dead. Shinji awakens upon a beach on this world. Some Eva in a crucified position lies in the sea behind Shinji. Lilith's head is also in the background (I think). Shinji looks into the sea and sees Rei, but he blinks and she dissapears.
• Asuka lays near Shinji, clothed in her plug suit and wrapped in bandages a la Rei.
• Shinji moves on top of Asuka and starts to strangle her. Asuka strokes Shinji's face and Shinji stops. Shinji begins to cry. Asuka says "I feel sick."
