God, I can't wait till my subscription ends... Note, I am male.  Just not the stupid animal like some males I know.

• One good point of Tokyopop: The letter in issue 4-1 from the 14 year old Asian girl complaining about the crap in Tokyopop. It was a legitamite complaint, Tokyopop should have apologized rather than ridiculing the girl and telling her to "go to another century".

• News: Tokyopop's dead.  They ran out of money.  I don't relish the fact that they died, I just had major issues with certain aspects of the magazine.

1. 1 They really annoy me.
2. 2 Totally inconsiderate of the consumer. Constantly changing their product, and not for the better. Asian entertainment magazine is fine, but make a NEW magazine for it.  I just want anime/manga related stuff.
3. 3 Ridiculously insensitive to females (or overtly targeting the male audiences).
4. 4 Blatent usage of Asian females as a lure for guys (is there ANY issue that doesn't feature an Asian girl?)  I'm not talking about legitamite interviews like with Ming Na or Iwao Junko.  I'm talking about the racecar girls lifting their shirts and the kinda slutty girls posing for Goldensilk. What's with Americans and Asian lesbian action anyway? ("Romeo Must Die" and "The Last Emperor" come to mind.)
5. 5 Piglike attitude of the guys in Tokyopop.
6. 6 Obvious filler content to jack up prices.  Oooh, toilets... how useless is that?
7. 7 The constant changing of manga. Rotating, waiting 2-3 months for the next comic, it's just not worth it.
8. 8 While it's not offensive to me, my friend who is female thought that the SM hentai manga (Sorceror Hunters) is totally inappropriate.
9. 9 The dismissal of the 14 year old girl's complaint. The objectification of females is hardly something to laugh about considering the high statistical ratings on sexual assault. Guys are pigs and Tokyopop isn't helping. The fact that the girls are Asian only makes things worse since they are even more detached from human beings and more like exotic sex objects.
10. 10 The ads suck, where is the money going? Into reviews that some read and some don't? Random articles? Crappy websites like goldensilk... What's with the address anyway, is it an Asian porn site or something?
