I stood and gazed upon the world one night.
Blue was my world and it was just right.
The sound of the waves in the sea would call
As everywhere was calmness, the peace of all.
A wolf howling at the moon did add to the blueness;
The animals conversing of no one can guess.
As I reached out to touch it, I felt utter delight;
So soft, so fuzzy, so surprisingly right,
So cool and smelling like a gentle breeze
That one could say it was a time of peace.
In that wind, I could also smell the orchids of the wild
And the hair of a playful, sweet, small child.
I put blue in my mouth and it was as sweetened ice,
Melting so slowly, reminding of all that is nice.
Blue is my world and I am glad of it.
I feel as if it was a jackpot I hit.
