Rumors about the New Series

In addition to the new Bubblegum movie and TV series, they are talking about additional episodes of AD Police. It sounds like Mr. Hayashi (director of BGC - Revenge Road, Sol Bianca, Tenchi Muyo! and El Hazard) will be directing the BGC TV series.

Apparently they have begun the writing the scenario's for the new Bubblegum series.

It looks like there will be BOTH a Bubblegum Crisis Movie and a TV series as well as an OVA series. For those who are worried about the content quality of the series, I have been told that there is a big difference between US TV and Japanese TV standards. In other words content will not be toned down to the level of other US TV series since that is not the target at this time. The Movie will be directed by Mr. Kitazume. We don't know who will be directing the TV series yet. Mr. Sonoda may be doing the character designs for the TV series and the movie character designs will be done by Mr. Onda. The OVA series is still a mystery at this point. We are thinking of sending out an inter-office spy to see if we can get pictures of the preliminary character designs for our fans so keep in touch!
