Well, once ADV announced they had acquired BGC, they also posted some names related to the project. Here are some of the forces behind what will hopefully be an incredible anime series:

   - CHIEF DESIGNER: Shinji Aramaki,
"Bubble gum Crisis OVA".

   - MECHANIC DESIGNER: Takaeshi Takakura,
"Martian Successor Nadesico", "Bakuso Kyodai Lets Go".

   - CHARACTER DESIGNER: Masaki Yamada,
"Armitage The Third", (original drawing).

   - ART DIRECTOR: Shigemi Ikeda (Ms), "Dai-undokai".

   - MUSIC: Kouichi Korenaga
Formerly a bass guitarist in Rebecca, one of the most popular music bands in Japan.

So now you know some of the names. I'm not very excited about some of these prospects. Many of the team have worked on sentai series, which are combat, not story, oriented. Some choices were well made. I like the character designer, for instance, and I think that Shinji Aramaki did an excellent job on BGC and BGC!. However, others seem to have been chosen for their popularity rather than actual talent, much as Sonoda was for the original OAV. I find this mighty disturbing...
