Chapter 1
Serena rode her horse. She wore men's pants and the wind blew in her hair. She looked back of her. "Hurry up Kunzite! We don't wanna to miss the sunset!" She cried. Kunzite went faster. They finally reached the place that they been looking for. It was a sandy cliff, which gave a perfect view of the sun set. This was a great place to be alone. They watched the sunset, the colors were so beautiful...
Kunzite thought. Kunzite was 20, and was head over heals in love with Serena, yet she didn't seem to know that. Serena was someone that he yern for. He loved her, yet, she didn't notice. She thought as him as a companion. He had waited for her for years. Her sprit was wild, free, and untamed, and he loved that about her.
"Kunzite, wasn't that a beautiful sight?" Serena's angelic voice said. "Yeah." He said, as he watched Serena. She was an incredible person. Not only was she beautiful, with her dark blue eyes that seem to sparkle, her oval face, her slender body, but she also was inteligant, smart, and the list could go longer. He wished that she would love him as much as he loved her, but he felt like he couldn't wait anymore. Waiting all the past years for her to glance at him, notice him, and all.
"Kunzite, are you paying attention to me?" Serena asked. "Uhh, ahh, sorry." He said, he was too busy thinking about her to notice that she was talking. "It's okay. Kunzite, I'll race you home!" Serena left. "Wait up Serena!" He yelled. his horse went faster.

"Haha, I won." Serena said, her serene face smiled. "You always do. Serena." Kunzite stated. She gave him a warm smile that seemed to melt his heart. "Serena, I need to talk to you."
"Hmm, what is it?" She asked, ceriously. Kunzite's heart raced as he said three words that he should have told her years ago. "I love you." Serena gasp. "I loved you when my eyes first saw you. Your angelic face lured me in deeper, I hoped you can love me back too. But I am tired of waiting for you. I waited for you for four years. I never ment to rush you into this, but I am only waiting for you for another year...." His voice trailed on. Serena's head rung.
"I don't know what to say." Serena stated. Her eyes were frozen with shock. She did not smile nor frowned. Yet, she was deep in thought. She looked at Kunzite. His silver white hair was in a ponytail. His silver eyes watched her ceriously. "Serena, I love you, and I always will. But I can't waste my whole life waiting for you Serena." Kunzite said. She watched him walk away.
"But, but, what am I to do?" Serena said out loud. the horse glanced at her.

Serena's head was in such a mess. Kunzite loved her? "Grandmother?" She asked, as she entered her grandmother's room. The room smelled of peperment. She smiled at that. She had many memories invested in this room.
"Serenity?" A voice replied. The elderly lady sat in her chair, stiching a moon. She remebered the tail saying that the Tsukino family line started out in the moon, they were the moon goddess, she fell in love with the prince of earth, yet, there was a fued going around saying that no one is aloud to marry the people from the moon. The prince disobeyed his parents and married the moon goddess, and they were banished fromt he kingdom. They ended up here, in England. that's where she got her name Serenity. The prince's name was Endymion. She loved that story. She always thought it was so Romantic. "Grandma it's Serena. Serenity is such a long name." She said with a frown. Her grandmother smiled at her granddaughter's annoyance.
"It's your name though." She teased. "What's troubling you child?" Her grandma's concern voice said. Serena thought. Everytime Serena has a problem, her grandmother see's it right away. "Kunzite, he said he loved me..." Serena said. "I don't know what to do now." Serena told her what happened at the barn.
"Ahh, so he finally said it." Her grandmother said. Serena raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean by finally?" She asked. "Well, anyone could tell how muched he liked you." "Yeah, anyone except me." Serena mumbled. "I don't know what to do now? He said that he is only waiting for me another year. I don't think I could stay here anymore...I want to go to France, where Aunt Selene lives, can I?" She asked her grandmother. She didn't relized what came out of her mouth. Yet, she seem to think that was for the best. A part in her heart knew that she couldn't love Kunzite. She was still waiting for her prince to come, but if she did say yes to him, then who knew what would happen. But she needed time to herself, away from him.
"Ahh, Serenity, you have my blessing's to go." Her grandmother countinued. "But, you still have to ask your father." Serena groaned inwordly. "I was hoping you wouldn't say that." Serena said. She gave her grandmother a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, bye grandma." She left the room to talk to her father.
She stuck her head into her father's office. Her father is usally in there when he was working. "Daddy?" She said meekly. He father was well over protected. Actually more so. He wouldn't let her go on a date until two years ago. He wasn't that over protected until her mother died. A sad smile went to her mouth. Her mother died when she was seven. Her mother had cancer, and she also had a rare type of blood that was hard to find. Ever since then, her father was very over protected. He didn't want to lose her. "Come in Serena." He said with a smile. He was happy to see his daughter. He thought. He noted as he saw her hair up into two buns, and hair streaming down an inch above her ankels.
"Hi daddy." She said innocently. "What do you want this time Serena? Let's see, you already have the horse you wanted, I let you learn how to drive a car, you can date already.." He listed. "Daddy!" She exclaimed. "What is it this time then honey?" He asked. "Daddy, can I go to Aunt Selene's house for awhile...please." She said sweetly. "What?! All the way in France?" He exclaimed.
"But daddy, grandma already gave me her blessing to go. It would be good for me to go, instead of always being cooped up in this house. Please?" She whined. He looked at his daughter. It was very hard to say no to this girl. He was quiet for a moment, as he thought long and hard. "Okay. Your aunt wanted you to spend time with her a long time now." Serena thought she heard wrong. "You mean yes?" She asked. He nodded. Serena gave her dad a big hug. "Thank you!!" She gave him a big kiss and left the room. "I don't know how I get lured into this stuff." He sat down and continued with his work.
A week later...
Serena sat in the train, and watched her father and grandmother wave good-bye. She waved back. "Don't worry, I'll be okay daddy." Serena yelled, as she saw how nervious he was seeing her leave all alone. "Bye daddy, bye grandma!" She yelled out as the train started to move. In the corner of her eye, she saw Kunzite. His face sadden by her departure. She wave to him and her train disappered. Kunzite watch the train go, until it was not visible. "One year, Serena." He said, barely even a whisper.
