Plus some other posters I can't find pictures for!Now for a story. My sister and I were having a going away party that afternoon. This party involved all of our friends getting together and gathering all Sailormoon tapes together and watching them all night long! (My sister's friend had lent her 3 tapes which showed the beginning of Sailorstars in untranslated Japanese but with oh-so-groovy commercials. One of them we ended up getting to keep!) My friend had just graduated from high school, so I thought I'd go graduation gift shopping that afternoon before the party.
My friend is a big fan of Sailorvenus, SailorV, and Sailorpluto. I went to an over-expensive comic book shop in the mall in hopes of finding a Sailormoon manga. Much to my surprise I found SailorV manga. I was ecstatic and decided to purchase that for her. Going up to the counter, the clerck (oops, sales associate) asked me, "Is this Sailormoon?"
I nodded. "I believe it is."
The man nodded as well. "That's what I thought." He reached under the counter and pulled out a humongous poster of Sailormoon from the S movie. "Here. We're giving these away today."
My eyes grew huge. I couldn't believe it! This store was so expensive and they were giving away Sailormoon posters! I was getting something free!
He rolled my poster and gave it to me. I skipped out to my car and drove home. Upon arriving, some of the guests had started showing up. (I'm a bad hostess.) I shared with them my wonderful story. Each of them swore that the next day they too would go to the comic book store and buy somethign Sailormoon. I never did find out if they got posters too.
