Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon S: the short version
A new enemy appeared to the Sailor Senshi, with an unknown motive and unknown past. Yet on top of that, two new Senshi appeared as well, Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune (in civilian form the went by the names Haruka and Michiru). These Senshi did not work with the Inner Senshi and seemed to have different goals. The Inner Senshi were combating the enemy to save the victims, while the new Senshi were fighting the enemy to find the Holy Grail.
Professor Tomoe led the new enemies, who called themselves the Deathbusters. They were looking for the Holy Grail as well. The Holy Grail had been hidden in three pieces, called Talismans, inside three pure-hearted humans. Extracting the Heart Crystals of these humans proved fatal if they were not returned.
Eudial, one of the Witches 5 in the employ of Professor Tomoe, discovered the owner of two of the Talismans. Luring Sailorneptune and Sailoruranus to the Marine Cathedral for one final battle for the Talismans, she revealed the owners of the Talismans: Sailorneptune and Sailoruranus. Their Heart Crystals were extracted, and they both died. Eudial ran off with the Talismans and Sailormoon (who had followed Uranus and Neptune) caught up with her. But just as Eudial was about to waste Sailormoon, Sailorpluto showed up and revealed the last of the Talismans, her Garnet Orb. This summoned the Holy Grail and allowed Sailormoon to transform into Supersailormoon and defeat Eudial.
Later, Chibi-Usa met the mysterious girl, Hotaru. Neptune and Uranus ssw the frightening power the small girl possessed and recognized her for who she was: Sailorsaturn, the Silent Messiah. They warned Chibi-Usa to stay away from her, but Chibi-Usa couldn't leave her new friend alone.
Chibi-Usa had a nightmare about Hotaru. She went to Hotaru's mansion to investigate. Kaolinite saw her and kidnapped her. Bringing Chibi-Usa to Hotaru and her father, Professor Tomoe began the ritual to revive the Messiah of Silence. Sailormoon and the others arrived just in time to see Hotaru swallow Chibi-Usa's heart crystal and transform into Mistress 9.
The Senshi went to Mugeun Gauken (Infinity Academy) in order to save Hotaru, Chibi-Usa, and keep anyone else from being hurt in this war. Mistress 9 used her powers to transport Sailormoon beyond the force field that had risen around the Academy. Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto approached the building by helicopter. Daimons attacked and the helicoptr was destroyed. However, Pluto used her forbidden attack to stop time and Neptune and Uranus were saved, but Pluto was barred from entering time for using that attack. Meanwhile, more daimons attacked the other Senshi outside Mugen Gauken.
Mistress 9 sent her father to take care of the Uranus and Neptune, while she transformed into Hotaru and left to get Sailormoon. Tomoe met with Neptune and Uranus in a hallway filled with what looked like radiation suits. He began to laugh maniacally and the demon inhabiting his body, exited and went into the suits. Tomoe collapsed. Uranus and Neptune were surrounded, but their Talismans appeared. Neptune used her mirror to find which suit had the daimon egg in it, and Uranus used her sword to destroy it. As Uranus and Neptune left, Tomoe revived and began looking for his daughter.
Sailormoon woke up to find a beat up Hotaru. Hotaru said that she needed the Holy Grail from Usagi. Usagi asked how she knew Sailormoon was Usagi, then figured out that Hotaru was not Hotaru, but Mistress 9. Uranus and Neptune arrived, saying they would kill Mistress 9. They attacked Mistress 9, but Sailormoon blocked the attack. Mistress 9 used her hair to strangle Neptune and Uranus.
Sailormoon began to summon the Holy Grail in order to save the other Senshi, but Tomoe appeared and went to his daughter. Mistress 9 then strangled him with her hair. Hotaru's voice faintly called, "Papa," and Mistress 9 began struggling with her body. Her loosened it's grip on Neptune, Uranus, and Tomoe. Tomoe crawled over to his daughter, and Mistress 9 said she needed the Grail. Sailormoon summoned the Holy Grail and gave it to Mistress 9. Mistress 9 put the Grail in a machine designed to summon Pharoah 90 from the Tau System, repossessed by Mistress 9. A black piller shot up towards the stars and the Holy Grail was shattered.
Energy formed behind Mistress 9 while she gloated and blasted her. Tomoe held his daughter and tried to protect her, while Sailormoon stood in front of them both to save them. Sailormoon was really hurt, and she fell to her knees. Meanwhile, the black pillar developed into a tornado.
Hotaru's voice asked to be released from her body, and Tomoe cried that he didn't know what to do. The tears fell on Mistress 9 and revived Hotaru's soul, but a black star appeared on her forehead as Mistress 9 reclaimed her. The sign of Saturn glowed on her forehead, then Hotaru destroyed her body in order to destroy Mistress 9.
Seconds later, Hotaru, in her Sailorsaturn fuku, appeared in Mamoru's apartment where Chibi-Usa lay. She returned Chibi-Usa's heart crystal and thanked her. Then she disappeared.
The Mugen Gauken building fell apart as Pharoah 90 began to enter the solar system. Sailormoon didn't have the strength to stand up again. She heard a voice call her name and looked up to see Sailorsaturn on a nearby rock. Saturn said she was the only one capable of killing Pharoah 90, now that Supersailormoon could not be summoned. Sailormoon asked what would happen when she killed Pharoah 90. Saturn answered that she had the power to destroy worlds. Then Hotaru jumped into the center of Pharoah 90.
Sailormoon tried to power up into Supersailormoon, but was unable to. Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury each lent their power to Sailormoon. Moved by Sailormoons determination, Uranus and Neptune also gave their power to Sailormoon. Moon's heart crystal appeared and gave her the power to transform into Supersailormoon. She went into the crater where Pharoah 90 was.
Darkness disappeared and the Senshi begn to revive. Sailormoon stood, holding a baby Hotaru in her arms. Neptune and Uranus took the baby from her as Moon collapsed. They disappeared.
