Kaolinite came to Professor Chronos. "There must be a pure soul in lovers."
"How many demon seeds must we waste before you find the talisman? What about the Sailor Senshi who keep getting in the way. if it stay this way, no matter how many seeds we use, we'll never get anything."
"This time, I'll go too," Kaolinite replied. "Leave it to me."
Professor Chronos laughed insanely.
Serena met Melvin afterschool. "Something is wrong with Molly," Melvin complained nasally. "It seems like she's hiding something from me. Maybe she's found another boy."
"I'll try and find out what's wrong with her," Serena declared.
Later Serena was chatting with Molly. "Melvin's been acting strange lately, don't ya think Serena? Maybe he's got another girlfriend."
"Melvin?" Serena laughed. "That dweeb couldn't get a girl if-" She stopped dead, realizing Molly liked Melvin.
"There are girls who like him." Molly was upset about Serena's remark.
"Yeah, he has some good points too," Serena amended her original statement.
Molly got up and walked away.
"She really does like him," Serena thought to herself. "So all I've got to do is make them realize that they like each other." Serena squealed and laughed.
During the study session, Serena went to Rei for help. "It's simple, Serena. To get Molly and Melvin together, all you have to do is one thing."
"And what’s that?"
"There's a contest at Lover's Park to find the most romantic couple. If you can get them to enter it they can express their love for each other."
"That's a great idea!" Serena exclaimed and ran off to find Molly and Melvin.
Serena ran to the main stage of Lover's Park, where the contest would be held. Molly and Melvin followed after her.
"Can I get two entry forms?" she asked a woman at the desk.
"Sorry. We're all out," she replied without even looking up.
Molly and Melvin reached the main stage. "They don't have any entry forms," Serena told them.
Embarrassed, Molly held up her entry form. "I already got one."
"Me too!" Melvin held up his with a triumphant grin. "But I was too embarrassed to tell you."
"And I was too embarrassed to tell you."
Melvin appeared totally psyched. "I've got to get a lot of sleep for the contest! Bye!" He ran off.
That night, a demon seed embedded itself into the statue atop Lover's Park.
Melvin lay in his bed, counting sheep. "29,997...29,998...29,999...30,000." He sighed, too nervous too sleep.
Erica watched the viewers and the contestants stream into the park. "I feel an evil presence."
"The demon is going to appear, but we shall not give up the talisman."
Melvin sweated as the contest began. "I'm too nervous to do this."
"It doesn't matter," Serena reassured. "Just try your hardest." She skipped off to watch the contest.
"Watch it, Serena," Rei threatened as Serena ran into her. Serena looked around and saw Rei, Mina, Lita, and Ami.
"Where there is love, Mina must be there," Mina announced.
"It looks like fun," Lita added.
"Maybe it will be a good lesson," Ami said.
Everyone did a double take. "For what?"
Ami blushed.
"Hey look! There's Erica and Michelle! They've entered the contest," Serena noticed.
The game started. Lita shouted, "Melvin!"
"Michelle!" Rei yelled out.
"Erica!" screamed Mina.
"Molly!" Serena cheered loudest of all.
In the first game, all of the girls stood behind a wall and stuck their hands out through holes. The boys tried to find their girlfriend by looking at the hands.
Erica immediately went first. She went to a girl's hand. Serena and friends were surprised.
Ami said in bewilderment, "I wonder if they're those kind of friends."
"What's the name of your girl?" the announcer asked.
Erica looked annoyed, but she yelled, "Michelle."
Michelle stepped out from behind the wall.
Melvin went next. He thought about Molly's hand and remembered the time she had given him a handkerchief. She had a band-aid on her hand.
Melvin went to a girl with a band-aid on her hand. "Molly!" Melvin shouted. But a different girl stood out form behind the wall. Everyone laughed. Serena sighed in disappointment.
"I can't believe. I looked for a girl with a band-aid on her finger, just like when she gave me her handkerchief," Melvin was stunned.
"That was half a year ago, Melvin. How can I have a band-aid from so long ago?" Molly was secretly pleased that he remembered.
Erica watched the game. "It's weird that he tries so hard for this silly game."
"I think it's wonderful," Michelle sighed. "It's not just a game to him."
Throughout the contest, Erica and Michelle won everything. Melvin, however, couldn't win a thing. Then they came to the last part of the game, "Confess Your Love."
"The winner of this game has the purest heart. We'll start with our top scorers. Erica come on up!" the announcer said.
"The show is over," Erica said. "We're going to quit. We just entered for fun, and we might win if we continue. The winner should have real love. Love is everything." And they left.
Melvin came up last. He was very nervous on stage. But he said what was in his heart. "Molly is always so bright and cheerful. She is like the sun. I always do stupid things. I'm probably not fit for Molly. Why is Molly going out with me? It must God's whim. But I'm just happy see Molly smile which is like an angel's. To protect that beautiful smile I, Melvin , would happily die."
The audience started to get tears. "Audience," the announcer said with a slight choke in his voice, "Judge these contestants." They clapped so loud and so long, Molly and Melvin were declared the winners.
Melvin and Molly went to the statue in the park to get their prize. When they touched it, a demon came out. "The talisman exists in the pure soul!" it yelled.
"Run, Melvin," Molly shouted.
"I have to get to the statue. It is the symbol of our love."
The demon attacked Melvin.
"Moon Cosmic Power."
"Mercury Star Power."
"Mars Star Power."
"Jupiter Star Power."
"Venus Star Power."
"In the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
Kaolinite appeared in the sky. The demon made handsome boys, one for each Sailor. "Let's dance," they said.
"Just a little bit," Sailor Moon said. The guys turned into monsters and grabbed the girls.
Sailor Uranus and Neptune appeared. "We want that crystal!"
"Demon, give them a partner to the dance," Kaolinite ordered.
"I'll find my own partner," Sailor Uranus replied. "Uranus Meteor Strike!"
The mini-demons were destroyed. "This is no time to be tricked by illusions," Uranus said.
"No matter how you defeat them, I can always make more demons." Kaolinite shouted.
Uranus replied. "Then we'll destroy you."
Kaolinite blasted Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus. "You're not powerful enough to face me." Then she disappeared.
Uranus looked at Melvin's soul crystal. "This isn't the talisman." She returned it to Melvin.
The demon prepared to attack Melvin again.
"Moon Heart Spiral Collision!" The demon disintegrated.
After the demon disappeared, Molly and Melvin turned on the lights for the statue. Everyone cheered.
"It turned out well," Rei observed.
"It was your idea," Serena said happily.
"Melvin looks very happy," Mina sighed.
"He tried so hard," Lita added.
"That's so nice. I want to..." Ami let her thought wander. Everyone quickly looked at Ami.
"I'll make you fried lobster tomorrow," Melvin told Molly. Molly grimaced, unsure how that was going to taste.
