INDUCTION
Removed resonating box before airbox, air is fed from exsisting duct from guard, not the engine bay. Performance gain, little hardly noticible most probably noone but it makes more noise when floored. bbbrrrrrooooooooommmmm!!! Put this back in as it was getting too noisy.
SUSPENSION
Factory standard, factory front strut brace, front/rear factory anti-roll bars
BRAKES
Front - vented disc stock standard, does anybody see a trend forming???!?
Rear - solid disc er, guess again, standard!!
WHEELS
Standard 14 by 5.5 jj toyota alloy rims
TYRES
Goodyear 175/65/14's
BODY WORK
BIG HUGE TWINCAM16 STICKERS!!!! plenty evidence that it has been in a few incidents, none by me though.
INTERIOR
You already know?? Standard again, ok seats, although everything looks pretty dated, multiple ciggy burns, not by me
SOUND SYSTEM
Stock head unit that has double speed playback when you flip the tape over, anyone remember HIGH SPEED DUBBING on twin tape decks??
SECURITY
I got the club lock in this car now, maybe if i had left it in the tarago instead of locking my bug with i'd still have my van.
PERFORMANCE
0-100 Magazine's tell of flat tens and just under, but it's a bit tired now, but i suspect a second engine already

One of the first mordern hatches, ie has DOHC, Electronic fuel injection to be avalible in australia
Has power steer, leather tiller, and nothing else.

I WISH, it had a tad bit more power, but it goes ok, just so i can chirp the tyes in second : )
I WISH, aircon!!!! it's only needed in aus for like four weeks, but in those 4 weeks you suffer without it!!
MODS
afomentioned airduct mod, air out of box now goes through a bellmouth made out of pvc tubing and heat gun, see www.autospeed.com for details on how to do this
PROBLEMS (so far!!)
Lost hydralics on the clutch whilst coming home once, master cylinder, this big ass falc XB-XC i don't know exactly, anywa we were facing the lights, Red Amber Green, bam, out the hole i was winning for like 2 secs, then the guy next to us realises that's he's been launched on, i go to grab 3rd, pump the pedal, no pedal, Falcon flashes past us, warp speed. Damn, well we call buddies and they come down and take us to our dinner appointment. We left the car in the street till we finished dinner, got in the car, started in 1st gear, hop hop, rolling, change into 4th and drive like 50 km's home. When you drive a bug you know about things like this.
Morning after i went for a fang found that one of the oil lines to the oil cooler had split dropping two out of three litres of oil. Most of it was sitting in my driveway. It did seem a bit more smoky than usual, due to leaky cam cover seals. Both remidied, both easy to do a bit messy though, but my car don't smoke anymore : ) yay!! Cost of 4AGE cam cover seals $25 AUD each. o yeah, replaced the o-ring in the distributor, not sure if it contributed to the leak, but when i went to pry it off it just cracked open as it was hard anyway, $1 at the auto part place so it's no big deal if it wasn't.
