World's Fastest Green Tarago??? Well the speedo goes up to 180, a bit optimistic?? hmmm, stroked! read on

After getting my licence i get to drive this!!! Well it's not that bad, at least it starts on cold mornings!

1984 Toyota Tarago GL
ENGINE
2.0 liter 8v Inline 4 (not weedy stock 1.8) this one's stroked!!! haha, actually it's just a motor out of the newer model cos the old one blew up after a trip to Swifts Creek, near Omeo for those uninitiated with eastern victorian geography.
Stock Airfilter, Stock exhaust, Stock Transmisson (4 speed auto by the way)
INDUCTION
LPG plumbed into the stardard Tarago intake system, your standard dual fuel conversion(Don't do it, don't even think about putting any vechicle under 3.0L on gas, unless you never have to drive it!! heehehe
SUSPENSION
Pedders shocks n springs suprisingly, years ago my dad got new shocks and got new springs too cos the originals had sagged quite a bit. the one's now, which were standard replacements have also sagged, giving the van that racer image it doesn't need!!
BRAKES
Front - Standard, the new pads we put in make an awful squealing noise, something must be in backwards??!?
Rear - er, guess again, standard!!
WHEELS AND TYRES
Standard 14 by 6 jj toyota alloy rims, with retreads,(yeah i know they're dangerous, but this van ain't ever gonna get to 130 kay, belive me!!
BODY WORK
none!!
INTERIOR
You already know?? Standard again, nice maroon velour though, 15 years old and it doesn't look too bad, much better than some i've seen, thumbs up to toyota
SOUND SYSTEM
Stock head unit
Stock tape player - yeah, it's got tape!!!
Stock front speakers - 3.5 inchers in the dash and a sub/bass unit under the dash!! standard!!
Rear Speakers - crappy audioline 6 inchers, better than none i guess
SECURITY
Ye olde faithful Club lock, nobodys gonna nick it, but better to be safe than sorry!! cos i park at the train station
PERFORMANCE
0-100 twenty something secs might be a bit optimistic though, haven't really timed it, cos i don't want to know how slow it really is!!!
0-400 ??? not even gonna comment!!!
Power, it's been on a dyno, not to see how much power it made but to sort out the LPG system when it was first put in, 44kW to da wheels!!! Power to burn!!!! (on gas mind you)
COMMENTS
Absoulute cutting edge, back in 1984 that is, Electric windows, Sunroof, Electric Moon Roof(similar in size to those found on stretch limos)
Things we didn't get and i wished i had now, Power steering, this is an absolute bitch to park, have u noticed that carparks are getting smaller, or is it just me????
And the icebox fridge thingy, just be cool to have!
More mod's, ha, who in their right mind would try and make a van go fast???
