My Dream
I look into your eyes every night
and in them all I see is fright
you cling every so close to me in fear
I hold you tight and whisper in your ear
"My love, the dawning of a new life is coming
and I shal be here forever and longer with you at my side"
you look up to me with tears in your eyes
and lay your gentle lips apon mine
I close my eyes and think this can't be right,
this can't be real..i'm too happy
i've never once been so delighted in all my life
I say to myself.."I must have decended into another life,
for there is nothing this fine in the life I once lived"
but to my surprise it was the life I am still in
but as I kiss you more and hold you closer
you start to fade away..and I can see this is just a dream,
a dream that I thought would never be real..
I lay my head tightly against my pillow and cry
and I slightly hear a soft voice ask me.."why?"
I look up with tears in my eyes and see you
you walk closer to me and I look into those gentle sweet eyes,
the ones I once gazed into before,
I kiss you as I did in my dream..and I knew right then,
I will never be any happier than I am today.....
