PRERAMBLE
An important event took place on Tuesday 2 April. It was the Last Supper.
Disciples attending included Peter, Thomas (Jones) a couple of Johns and a
couple of Davids (was St. David one of the disciples?). And there endeth any
similarity to the Biblical version. This last supper was the final binge of the
outgoing mismanagement, and due to a prior booking by the Palestinian Hash it
was held at Para Para and not the Bethlehem Hilton.
At this historic meeting momentous decisions were taken. Decisions resulting from lively debate until the early hours of the morning. These decisions, covering awards such as run of the year, Hashit of the year, song of the year etc., are of course held in complete secrecy until the truth is revealed on the Day of Revelations, i.e. the AGM run at ISCI.
One decision, however, was so controversial that I cannot contain myself until the AGM and, at risk of excommunication, I plan to reveal it later in this hash sheet. In so doing I risk never being appointed Scribe again (please).
THE RUN
Wet, slippery, slimy. (What do expect at Sentul?) First off in the right
direction at the first checkaround was Clumpy. Never saw him again after that,
till the circle anyway.
Good checks and loops that brought GoBlokM frequently to the front. Some marginal paths through graveyards, which almost got the hares a Hashit. Finally voted a good run.
ANNOUNCEMENTS. Get your diaries out!
Monday, 6 May: AGM run at ISCI
Thursday 9 May to Monday 13 May: Jungle Run, South Sumatra
Friday 24 May: JHHH Hash Thrash. Venue, theme, etc. to be announced
Sunday 26 May: Highland Gathering. Touch Rugby training sessions start next week
Saturday 8 June: JHHH ex-Hash Masters’ run
Saturday 15 June: BH4 run 888
Saturday / Sunday 29 / 30 June: JHHH weekend run at Anyer.
THE CIRCLE
A number of members had hot dates on Monday night so the circle depleted
rapidly. This could also have been due to the appointment of a reluctant
Witless as MM. Witless had great difficulty getting the right down-down song
out and succeeded in getting us all confused. Konkrete Kock tried valiantly to
keep the circle amused but with only ten of us left we had the choice of
getting pissed with frequent down-downs or calling an early close, which we
did. The horn, neglectfully abandoned by the HM, was taken into custody (=stolen)
by Bolt-1-On.
The on-on I believe was at Juicy Lucy’s. Hope the hares didn’t guarantee more than 20.
NEXT WEEK’S RUN: Hare: Postponed. Cement factory, Cibinong. Site of many Japanese Hashits. Take Jagorawi, exit Gunung Putri, go right at junction, continue about one km. Then turn left, continue, enter factory gates and follow signs. Allow at least 20 minutes from the toll booth.
YEARBOOK: Last minute ads. and money to Magic Dragon, articles etc. to me. Non-contributors will be mercilessly humiliated.
And now to the revelation that has kept readers riveted to this sheet:
The Welsh run was not voted run of the year.
On on, Col.B..
