Chapter 10 : Truth (2)

Ryonan High Basketball Training... ...

"Sendoh, you're leaving so early?" Koshino asked.

"Yeh, I'm meeting ... ... eh ... ... Rukawa. he's leaving for the competition tomorrow... ..." Sendoh replied, smiling at the same time.

Though Koshino felt jealous onve he heard Rukawa's name, he had decided to give up about Sendoh because he knew that deep inside Sendoh, his name could not replace Rukawa's.

"Then quickly go before coach returns!" Koshino said, trying to help, but he actually hoped that Sendoh would not leave. (Coach went to the cafe for a drink after he shouted too much at the basketballers.)

"Thanks, you're a pal!" Sendoh said, giving Koshino a hug at the same time and then left.

Meanwhile, deep inside Koshino's heart,'Oh God, I still cannot forget him. Why didn't i just tell him that i like him?' Koshino felt a tear rolling down his cheek so he quickly went to the washroom so that no one would see it.

One of the cubicles was locked but Koshino did not see because he was thinking too much about Sendoh.

"Maybe it's better that he doesn't know that i like him so that he would not feel inferior when he talks to me next time,... ..." Koshino mumbled,"yeah, that's right... ..." and left the washroom.

The door of the cubicle then opened. Sendoh came out of it."What did Koshino mean? The words Koshino said made me wonder... ... who does he like?" (Sendoh had a stomach ache after he got out of the basketball court so he went to the washroom then Koshino came in... ...).

Meanwhile, in Shohoku High locker room... ...

Sakuragi waited patiently for Rukawa's answer but silence was all he received.

Rukawa turned his head and gave Sakuragi a glance, then left. Sakuragi felt as though a knife was slicing through his heart. Rukawa meant that they would never be together and it would be impossible the moment he turned around.
