Chapter 5 : Jealousy

It was a week after Rukawa and Sendoh went out. Rukawa was so furious about the picture that he refused to talk to Sendoh since then but did took one of the photosticker and pasted it in his wallet too (^_^)! Also, the competition was drawing near and Akagi trained them hard everyday, not forgetting that it was the week when they went to another place to train, leaving poor Sakuragi behind with Ansei.

Sakuragi felt something funny within him. Though Haruko was with him during his pracitce shoots for the whole week, he did not feel a thing for Haruko compared to the past (where he would always blushed and not be himself when Haruko talked to him ). However, he missed Rukawa. Was it because there was no one to quarrel with? Sakuragi had no idea.

But when Sakuragi met Sendoh when he went out one day with Yohei and gang, he felt jealous of Sendoh, not because of the basketball skills, and nearly had a fight with Sendoh if the gundan did not stop him. Sendoh thought that Sakuragi was streesed up with the practice and did not bother to say too much. But deep inside Sakuragi's heart, he could feel a burning sensation that would explode soon.

Though Sendoh find Sakuragi funny, there was another person that found that Sendoh was not quite himself. The person was Koshino.

When Ryonan had practices that week, Sendoh did not come late anymore for his practices and seemed to train very hard, unlike the usual(though it was also hard), Sendoh was always smiling at himself. When Koshino asked Sendoh what was up with him, Sendoh would often replied," Nothing. Except the training would be better if I play 1 on 1 with Rukawa."

Koshino replied back instantly," What's so great about playing with Rukawa? Don't let him know too much of your style or else he would be able to beat you when we play against Shohoku next time!"

" Nah. Rukawa isn't that kind of person. If he really wants to beat me, I'm sure that he would not use underhand methods. Besides, I know him too well....." Sendoh said, as though talking to himself, for he did not notice that there was a change in Koshino's attitude.

"That's your problem. But please don't play 1 on 1 with him anymore. I don't want our best player to be such kind of person!" Koshino said coldly, and walked away. He could not understand why Sendoh would like such a person like Rukawa. "Why didn't Sendoh understand how I feel to him?" Koshino thought as he walked away. Sendoh was thinking about Rukawa that he did not even hear what Koshino said.

Sendoh and Rukawa did not know one thing, their relationship might have been quiet on the surface, but it had caused two people's hearts on fire......
