Ail presents cards to Ann
Ail is an Alien. He hailed from a watery, aqueous planet. He gains sustenance from the Makajiu or, Tree of Life. He presents cards to Ann so that she can choose which cardian to bring to life. He then plays his flute to summon them and announces: "Cardian Whatever! Come Forth!" (Click here to download a MIDI of Alan's flute music).
When he is in the company of normal humans, Ail disguises himself as Ginga Seijuurou. Ail and Ann posed as brother and sister, though they are, in truth, unrelated. Ail's love life was decidedly confused. Ail fell in love with Usagi, though he still felt something for Ann. Ail and Ann had not been raised with love. Growing up in space, the Makajiu too weak to tell them of their heritage, they thought the only way to keep the tree alive was to feed it energy collected from beings by force. When they did, it would die more and more. Whenever they allowed themselves to feel, a new bud would appear on the Makajiu. They would flood it with evil energy and kill the new bud. Finally, Sailor Moon healed the ill Makajiu, which flourished anew, in the form of a tiny bud, under the influence of Sailor Moon's love energy.
