What do you get when you take the clever writing and bad puns of Rocky and Bullwinkle, add some samurias, a ton of anime references and paradies, and some wild ass plot lines....... a real mess, and that mess is "The Samuria Pizza Cats". This show is very clever and a hell of a lot of fun. I crack up everytime I watch this show, even when I've seen the same episode a million times. The animation and charactor designs are bright and beautiful and very colorful. The concept is simple and a take on the basic "superhero type anime". Each episode the evil (but very cool) cross dressing bad guy "The Big Cheese" comes up with some evil plan and sends Bad Bird, his ninja crows, and some new and goofy giant robot. Then three samurias and part time pizza delivory cats must stop Cheese's plans. Speedy Service the clutzy leader, Polly the short tempured and feisty female, and Guido the lecherous umbrella weilder (spmeone call Ryoga!). The show is a laugh riot, from the theme, to the Samuria Pizza Fan Club Oath, to all the bad puns. It's one of the greatest things on american tv. |
