"For the coward, there is no life. For the hero, there is no death."
-- Kakita Toshimoko
(I just LOVE that quote.)
Posted here are some decks I used when I played the L5R CCG, using my favorite clan, the Noble and Honorable Crane Clan.
Sorry, I haven't got time to finish this page up. I'll be updating this soon.
"There is no time to hesitate. If we do, the darkness will envelop the
light of the Emerald Throne." -- Daidoji Uji
(Another cool quote from another cool guy.)
The Reserve General of Crane Clan
This is my first deck using my favorite Clan, the Crane, before I got cards from earlier editions. I assembled this deck using one Emerald Edition Crane Clan starter deck, one Obsidian Edition Crane Clan starter deck, and one Time of the Void Crab Clan starter deck, then trading off everything I don't use. This is a beginners' deck, but it works... usually.
"Kharma is a tale told to children, an excuse for those who are unable
- or unwilling - to defend themselves." -- Doji Reju
(DOJI REJU RULES!!!)
The Clan Wars: Tsuru no Tsubasa (THE WING OF CRANE)
This is my pre-Scorpion Clan Coup (SCC) deck using my favorite Clan, the Crane. Of course. Those who know me call me Tetsubo Crane, for very good reasons. (Toshimoko+Tetsubo=Whackalot; Reju+Tetsubo=Massacre; Hoturi Exp.1+Tetsubo="Kat, baby, I've had it with your games, you naughty, naughty Scorp girl. I am going to _spank_ you. ^_-;;;)
Drawing from the souls of a thousand fallen Cranes, Uojin gave that strength
to the men who charged into Shoju's army. -- flavor text from Asahina Uojin
(Sigh. I wish they brought back this guy/girl/whatever...)
The Scorpion Clan Coup: Tsuru no Rei-ken (THE CRANE SPIRIT SWORD)
Here is my Scorpion Clan Coup (SCC) Crane deck (OK, not really... 2 Emerald Champions?!? A fistful of Ujis?!? Asahina Tomo Exp.?!? Hell, why not? ^_^). The Tetsubos, if you haven't already noticed, are by now a permanent fixture in my decks. Everyone here hates it when I use this deck, and gang up on me in multi ;_;. And by the way, this deck uses the new 40/40 rules.
Blood-drenched Kuwanan waits outside Otosan Uchi with Shiba Tsukune. His
eyes watch the capital, knowing that sooner or later, the Thunders will meet the
Dark One, and Rokugan's destiny will be sealed for all eternity... -- flavor
text from Doji Kuwanan, Experienced
(A lot of friends of mine tell me he looks a lot
like me, with a lot less hair... >_<)
The Time of the Void: The Final Battle
This is it... The deck I currently use. If you look at it really closely, this deck is actually the same as my SSC deck, with some slight alterations that make it a lot more fair to play with. Enjoy. This deck also uses the new 40/40 rules.
The Hidden Emperor: The Search for Toturi
I don't have enough cards (all right, I admit it; I don't have any HE cards beyond Episode 1 ;_; Rekai's so kawaii...) to build a new deck, so I'll settle for building my other dream deck. (Alright, my DD(Dream Deck)#3, since #1 is Super Open Crane and #2 is Ultimate Extended Jade Crane: #3 is the Open YA/Crane Osano-Wo deck, with Ranbe and Kanbe as the central theme, all the fate with Osano-Wo printed on them, Reju and Tetsubos still my staples, and throwing in Ogres, Uojins, and other fun stuff like that. ^_^) I'll post my deck when I actually win a tourney with it. ;p
