N:OW!
~~~~~
	It was a quiet winter day in Otakuworld.  Snow covered everything, and
iceicles hung off of the corners of all the buildings.  Children bustled
back and forth in the streets of this particular city, singing songs
while dragging toboggans and admiring candy canes, while trying to
remember the words to some song they learned off a beer commercial.
	Life was good.  It almost felt like Christmas was still yet to come.
	But we won't get into matters of time of year here.  All that really
needs to be said is that it was a nice quiet winter's day in Otakuworld,
and that there were lots of children, contrary to popular belief,
getting along well together, and in a generally good mood.
[dramatic pause whilest all the south park fans change the channel]
	In the sky above the corner of Airth St. and Tifa Ave., a white cloud
seemed to materialize out of the mist rising off of the passing
pedestrians' breath.  This was, of course, an illusion.  The cloud was
really materializing out of the mist rising off of the pile of dung
lying next to the Airth and Tifa corner hydrant.
	But I think we've already delved too deeply into the origins of the
cloud.
	This particular cloud, of course, did have a purpose.  It wasn't just
any cloud.  (To be just any cloud required a licence, and registration.
Being Just Any Cloud is an immense responsibility, and so the government
now has strict control over which clouds get this esteemed title.)  No,
this cloud was really a plot device.
	Now I know what you're thinking.  You wrote all this build-up to
introduce a plot device..?  What kind of an author ARE you?  Shame on
you!  How could you?  How can I do that?  To which I reply that I am not
a mind reader, and until you vocalize your thoughts, I can't tell you
the answer.
	Getting back to the cloud, which was by now a pretty kawaii little
cloud if I do say so myself, I'm thinking that maybe we should really
delve into it's spiritual origins.  But we won't.  Instead, I'll just
tell you what happened next.
	A wisp of the cloud unfurled, revealing a giant spork, which fell out
of the cloud, and straight onto the corner of Tifa and Airth, with a
clutter.  This is a great corner, by the way, if you're ever looking for
a place that has both dry cleaning and a potato repair shop on the same
intersection.
	Now what about this spork, I hear you asking.  Well, to describe it,
I'd have to say that it looked like a spork.  And it was really big.
Other than that, there's little more I can tell you besides the
footstraps and the guy strapped into them.
	Strapped to the giant spork stood James, his hair blowing softly in the
cool crisp winter air.  A slightly sickly smile playing across his
face.  Dressed entirely in yellow.
	Yellow?
	Either that's forshadowing, or I sense a faction change.
	"Hello world.  I'm now Usagichanian, and I'm running for president."
	Two strides later, and James was off and running on his first campaign
trail..
..TBC?
who knows.  ;)
[*]  The faction switch has been coming for a while now, folks.  I just
can't say that I'm satisfied being a Makochanian.  After seeing the
original, she's just way too.. er.. quiet.  ^^;  Makochan's still great,
of course; Usagi's just a good deal better.  [ahem]
Incidentally, I also thought I should probably mention that I'm not
entirely sure if I agree with the status quo.  After all, I've been more
or less working for SIB by association for the past while under the
command of Cape-Mike.  As such, I've noticed the following: she is too
Mako-influenced by her hubbie to be a true Usagichanian.  Therefor, I
hereby denounce SIB as head Usagichanian, and appoint myself to the
position.  ;)
[ahem]  In conclusion, vote pro-spork; vote Forkenhoppen; vote _James_!
And have a nice day.  :)
