Sailor D'ni was advancing menacingly upon Coby, a fiery aura rising from her,
Glaive poised to cut herself a wide slice of Amichanian, when she was suddenly
run down by a speeding blue Land Rover with a mercury-symbol superimposed over
a black star painted on the side panel.

The driver's side door of the Rover opened, and Sodalite leaned out.

"Oh, CRUMBS... I hit another pedestrian!  Oh well.  I'll just have to make
another notch in the steering wheel.  Do either of you gentlemen know where the
Amichanian Base Camp is?"

"I can direct you there, if you'll give me a ride," Coby quickly spoke up.  The
mad scientist narrowed her eyes at him for a moment and grunted.

"OK paleface, hop in.  That bat had damn well better be housebroken."

Coby climbed into the passenger seat, after moving several mysterious gadgets
to the back seat.  He picked up the badly-folded map on the dashboard and
squinted at it.  

"OK, let's go.  I want to be at the ABC by sundown."  Sodalite stomped on the
gas and took off at top speed, accidentally hitting Sailor D'ni again as the
battered Hotaruchanian managed to get back to her feet.

"Nuts," muttered Kane.

"Owwwwwww," groaned D'ni.

It looked good-natured, she thought; still, it had very long claws and a great
many teeth, so she felt it ought to be treated with respect.
