Domination
Chapter One -- Makai: Outcasts' Rule

The light of dawn passed over the vast territory known as Gandara. This country, known for its highly advanced technology and wealthy holdings, was also famous for its ingenious king Yomi. Called Yomi-sama by his subjects, the blind, horned youkai belonged in the ranks of the three most feared rulers in Makai.
Presently he was consigned to the minimal amount of space allowed him.
"Feel at home already, Yomi?" A deep voice asked him in mocking tones. The question was accompanied by a stab in the gut.
Yomi would have doubled over in pain if he could. But he had not the freedom for such a movement. He opted for a cutting reply.
"You will find your death in the hands of another, if not mine, youko."
This earned him another stab, this time from a blade of ice. Undoubtedly this was the doing of the youko's female companion.
"But Kurama isn't afraid of death," she whispered coolly, "especially since Death's soon to be my sister-in-law."
"Now, now, Yukina-chan. He's just being a sore loser," came the youko's voice.
"Perhaps you overdid it and turned his brain into a plant as well?" Yukina said, crouching low to inspect the clay pot currently holding Yomi's stiff form.
Kurama chuckled. He lay flat on his back on the luxurious canopy bed, the long silver strands of his hair spread about him every which way. Yukina went to sit on the edge of the bed, and then propped her head on her hands in an almost childlike manner, her crimson eyes focused on the ceiling.
Yomi's blindness caused him to miss the angelic innocence she radiated; his senses revealed the flow of wicked thoughts in the young koorime's mind. He felt like shuddering.
"Enki and Mukuro are dead, my dear snow maiden. Everything's in place. What's bothering you?" Kurama inquired, pulling her down to lie beside him.
She gave him a sweet smile.
"I was just wondering how oniisan is doing."
