"A little more....more....PULL!!!!"
"EEEEEEEEEEYYYYAAAGGGGGHHH!!!!!!"
"That's it, Kurama!! You're getting it."
Yong Kurama gazed up proudly at his catch. He beamed with pride as his father examined the small deer he caught.
"Papa...?"
The elder youko stroked his son's ear. He grinned widely and hoisted the younger youko up his back. They laughed happily, as they walked back home with their supper.

Kurama sighed as he remembered his father. He closed his eyes, and smiled. Hiei, on the other hand, scowled at the youko.
"Hiei...."
"Hn. Stupid fox," came the sullen response.
"Baka. Isn't that how we met?"
Hiei closed HIS eyes and remembered.
**
Leaves rustled as a tiny figure moved around. He peeked and watched the entire scene between the young kit and his father. He scowled, as he remembered his own family. He kicked himself for remembering; he had promised himself to forget, to bury the pain of being a Forbidden Child, being thrown away, and losing his imouto. He silently cursed himself, and leaned back against the tree. His stomach grumbled, the two youkos whirled around and gazed up the tree.
"Oi!! Anybody there?" the elder youko called out.
"Come out now, wherever you are!!!" the younger youko called out gaily. He smiled happily and waved around.
Hiei timidly peeked out from the leaves. He didn't say a word, and stared hungrily at the deer carried by the younger youko, and nearly drooled.
"Hey boy, you hungry?" the elder youko called out.
"Don't be shy!!"
"Anou.....h..h..h..hai..."
"Come down and eat with us!!!"
Hiei stood by the branches, frozen in place. Somehow, he felt like accepting the offer, yet still he didn't want to. To him, it was a sign of weakness. He shook his head, turned and headed back for the leaves.
"Matte!!" the young kit called out.
Hiei froze. He didn't move, he_just_simply stood.
"C'mon!! Eat with us!!!"
Hiei's stomach grumbled.
The elder youko burst out laughing. "You're eating with us, little-dark one. Come on!!!"
Hiei sighed in resignation.

Hiei scowled at Kurama.
"You're still a stupid fox. BAKA!!"
"HIEI!!!!"
