A Date with Hiei
by Kimee Lee

“Nani!” shouted Kuwarbara leaning forward over the table. “I said I invited Hiei for dinner tonight.” Yuusuke said gulping down the soda and tossing across to Kuwabara’s direction.

“Yuusuke…count the damages if the waiter doesn’t bring the right food to him!” Kuwabara said waving the can aside. “I have…I’m not bringing him anywhere fancy, just dinner with me and Keiko, that’s all.” Shrugged the boy with his elbows on the table.

A huge sweat drop appeared on Kuwabara, “You’re bringing him on a date with Keiko?” “What’s wrong?” Yuusuke shrugged. “You Baka! Dates are suppose to only have to person.” Kuwabara shook his head. “The exact point, Kazuma. Keiko is bringing a friend, so why shouldn’t I?” asked Yuusuke lightly, looking at two pretty girls passing.

Kuwabara hit him on the head, “Here we’re talking about Keiko and there you are looking at girl!?”

“So? I mean we’re not married.” Yuusuke said rubbing the back of his head painfully. “Yuusuke you might not know but Hiei doesn’t know how to dress.” Kuwabara said hastily.

“Well…I could get him some normal clothes for the evening no problem.” Smiled the dark hair boy.

Kuwabara leaned back into his seat, “You insist to bring the short stuff out don’t you?” “Well you have a girlfriend…you don’t expect me to bring you do you?” Yuusuke asked. “Kurama?” suggested Kuwabara, “The guy is normal plus any girl would love to sit around if he’s there, not with Hiei.”

“That’s not the point Kazuma, as you can see Kurama has enough girl problems and he needs no more. But Hiei the guy is girl-less.” Yuusuke pointed out. “Girl-less? Is there such a word?” Kuwabara asked checking his study books.

(Kuwabara: Why am I studious?

Kimee: You’ll know later in the story! Just continue reading!!!)

Yuusuke laughed, “Why are you so hard working?” “There’s a test a few more days…if you mind, I don’t like being teased.” Kuwabara said pulling his nose out the book. “As I was saying the guy needs a gal, to change his life!” smiled Yuusuke.

“Why do u insist he goes?” Kuwabara asked putting down his book. The carrot head asked looking at Yuusuke curiously.

“Because, that’s why I don’t have to go out on a date with anymore of Keiko’s friends!” Yuusuke admitted.

Kuwabara shook his head, “Urameshi this is not going to work, I promise you.” “Kazuma this is foolproof…I mean what could happen? Keiko won’t know.” Yuusuke shrugged.

(Yuusuke: Wait a minute…I’m not going through with this…I’ll get pounded!

Kimee: My point exactly

Yuusuke: No!

Hiei: I like it…lets finish the story [a grin on his face]

Yuusuke: I don’t like this!!!)

Hiei appeared behind Kuwabara, “Hn.” “Hello Hiei.” Yuusuke said sweetly. “You were looking for me?” Hiei asked looking around. “Yes.” Yuusuke nodded. Kuwabara moved in to let Hiei sit. “The demons were out looking for me…what’s so important?” Hiei asked grimly as he sat down.

Like usual Hiei wore his black cloak on top of his black shirt and pants, his arm was freshly bandaged from Yuusuke’s view. “So you got a new bandage?” Kuwabara looked. “Yukina insisted, women…hn.” Hiei snorted lightly, “And what so important that you got all the demons in town looking for me?” Yuusuke breath in “Oh…I thought…thought…” “Speak up.” Hiei said lowly. “I thought you might want to…to well join me and Keiko for dinner.” He finished.

Kuwabara had his nose stuck in the book again, memorizing some sums.

“I was complaining about women and now you want me to go out with one!” demanded Hiei stubbornly. “It nothing going to be bad.” Yuusuke shrugged with a small smile.

Hiei studied Yuusuke for a moment, “No.” he answered shortly.

“Hiei…you have to.” Yuusuke begged. “Hn.” Was all the little youkai answered turning away. “Look…there will be lots of food there plus it gives you the chance to change.” Yuusuke said. “I don’t care.” He answered once more.

Yuusuke turned to Kuwabara, and cleared his throat loudly. Kuwabara looked up, “Yeah Hiei…it’ll be fun.” “Fun? What is fun compared to pleasure?” Hiei said tauntingly. “Are you going or not!” Yuusuke demanded fiercely.

Hiei sighed, “Fine…when?” “Tonight, and you’re coming home with me incase you run off. And I need to get you some decent clothes.” Yuusuke said firmly.

That night Hiei was dressed in a blue shirt and a black jeans, “You look great Hiei.” Keiko smiled as Yuusuke picked her up. “Hn.” Was all Hiei said. “This is my friend Chiki. Chiki this is Hiei.” Keiko introduced a tall good looking blond hair girl with wide innocent brown eyes.

(Kimee: Hiei really looks great here ^_^

Hiei: His thing is really not my type fic writer!

Kimee: Oops… ^_^| )

“Hello.” The girl smiled shyly.

The spiky hair boy just nodded lightly, following behind Keiko and Yuusuke. “So…where do you study?” Chiki asked gently. Hiei didn’t answer and continue to walk. The girl’s should fell and walked beside him. Keiko turned to look.

“Urameshi…Hiei is not making Chiki feeling comfortable. Look she feels bad.” Keiko nudged Yuusuke. “Nani?” Yuusuke asked looking behind his shoulder, “Look!” Keiko forced. “I’m looking…so?” he shrugged.

“We’re not match makers!” Yuusuke whispered loudly.

Keiko made a humph sound and walked quickly. “Hiei…talk to the girl!” Yuusuke gritted a whisper. Hiei turned to look at Chiki, “I don’t study.” He answered with a sigh.

Chiki’s head looked up, “Oh…then what do you work as?”

“I’m a guard.” He answered glaring at Yuusuke. Keiko was smiling already holding Yuusuke’s hand. “Where?” the girl continued to asked. “I just got fired!” he gritted loudly so Yuusuke could hear.

Yuusuke gulped, know Hiei was getting angry.

“That’s a pity.” Chiki smiled. (When Hiei said ‘FIRED’ not meaning he didn’t have a job. He meant he was getting angry but that only Yuusuke knew)

(Kimee: This is the best part!

Yuusuke: I still have a feeling this isn’t good.

Kuwabara: [popcorns in his mouth] Shut up Urameshi I want to see what happens!

Kimee: Hiei…gets his revenge here!

Yuusuke: I told you I don’t like it! [running away]

Kimee: I’m the fic writer…you do as I say!)

At the restaurant, there was a buffet. Hiei and Yuusuke went out to get food for the girls. “What is this? Why do we have to get food for them!” gritted Hiei. Yuusuke gulped, “Humans’ customs.” And pulled at his collar cause Hiei’s was falling his hand into a fist. “Calm down…” Yuusuke said picking up a prawn for Keiko. “Yuusuke no baka, when we get back I’ll pound you. I promise you I wouldn’t during the dinner didn’t mean I can’t after.” Hiei gritted.

“Here you go Keiko.” Yuusuke said glancing at Hiei. Hiei just placed the Chiki’s plate in front of her with no words said.

“Thank you Hiei.” Smiled the girl happily.

The three color hair boy just sat down eating up his food quickly. Yuusuke was nervous. Very nervous. “Keiko, please pass the pepper.” Yuusuke mumbled tiredly. “Nani? What did you say?” Keiko asked. Hiei repeated sharply, “He wants the pepper.” This made Keiko jump, “H-here.” She shivered handing Yuusuke the pepper.

“Hiei you don’t have to be so loud.” Yuusuke whispered. Everyone was looking at their table. Hiei stood up and walked away.

“What did I do wrong?” Cried Chiki. Keiko looked angrily at Yuusuke. Yuusuke shrugged, “I’ll go check on him.” “Don’t cry Chiki…you didn’t do anything. Guy are like that.” Keiko comforted. “But I liked him.” Chiki muffled through the napkins.

Keiki was alarmed.

“Hiei! Hiei!” Yuusuke ran after him, “Wait!” Hiei stopped, and then Yuusuke was close enough he punched him in the nose. “What did you do that for?” cried the poor boy who was already on the floor. “Hn.” Hiei answered and gripped Yuusuke tightly by the shirt.

“W-w-w-what do you want!” yelled Yuusuke.

Hiei smirked, “I want the opportunity to cut you to pieces!” “Wait…come on…it’s just a date!” Yuusuke reasoned.

“A Date? You made me take food and forced me to answer question…what kind of dinner are you taking me to Urameshi?” Hiei asked pushing the taller guy aside and pinning him on the wall, “What do you think I am?” he asked.

Yuusuke was silent.

Hiei threw him to the ground, “That’s how I’m thanking you for the date.” He said and walked off tearing of the blue shirt.

“Hey, that cost 7 bucks if you don’t mind!” Yuusuke shouted after him.

Hiei: I like this ending…
