We both know that I shouldn't be here
This is wrong

(Hiei comes inside the window, after 10 years)

And baby it's killing me, it's killing you
Both of us trying to be strong

(Kurama tries to glare at him, and tries to stop himself from hugging him)

I've got somewhere else to be
Promises to keep

(Hiei explains that there was a war against Yomi and Mukuro and he had to stay in Makai for 10 years. Kurama replied, "Hah! You just don't know how long you've tortured me, Hiei! For 10 full years! And you never came back to at least check on me if I was alright!" Hiei looks at him, hurt. "I've tried, Kurama. But Mukuro wouldn't let me! Please understand!" But Kurama didn't listen and replied in a very harsh tone, "You didn't even care!" Then Hiei feels betrayed and hurt)

Someone else who loves me
And trusts me fast asleep

(Hiei tries to stop the tears that was stinging his eyes, and wishes that both of them shouldn't be fighting, and be at least how they were before. Hiei looks at the emerald eyes that looked much different, they were filled with pain and suffering. Hiei bites his lip)

I've made up my mind
There is no turning back

(Then Hiei disappears out of the window in the darkness, while Kurama falls to his knees, sobbing, gets guilty of what he had done to Hiei)

She's been good to me
And she deserves better than that

(Hiei is on the tree branch just beside his window, black teargems dropping to the ground every second.)

It's the hardest thing
I'll ever have to do

(Hiei wipes his tears from the back of his hand, and his eyes hurt)

To look you in the eye
And tell you I don't love you

(Hiei looks away and looks at the full moon. Hiei bites his lip and misses Kurama)

It's the hardest thing
I'll ever have to lie

(Kurama looks at the picture on his desk, then touches Hiei's face softly, then closes the picture frame down to the desk, making a loud sound. Kurama wipes his tears away, then stares at the window where Hiei had just disappeared.)

To show no emotion
When you start to cry

(Then Kurama stands up and walks to his bed, not caring if he hasn't changed his clothes, then plops into his bed. Hiei just stares at him and tries to snort at him, but doesn't succeed) I can't let you see
What you mean to me

(Kurama hugs his pillow tightly and he smells a faint warm scent, and notices that it is Hiei's. Kurama sobs in his pillow, his eyes starting to hurt. Then he tries to stop himself from crying. Then Hiei turns his back, trying to ignore the sobbing Kurama)

When my hands are tied
And my hearts not free
We're not meant to be

(Hiei gets a blood red rose from his chest and holds it near his heart)

It's the hardest thing
I'll ever have to do

To turn around and walk away
Pretending I don't love you

(Then a blur of black suddenly disappears from the branch, and Kurama is still sobbing in his pillow)

Maybe we'll meet again
Fate has a place and time

(Kurama is walking to school, bringing his school bag)

So you can get on with your life
I've got to be cruel to be kind

(Kurama sees a girl in school, and tries to set a date with her. Fortunately, she agrees and takes his hand and walks to class)

Like Dr. Zhivago
All my love I'll be sending

(In their date, they are in a movie, then you can see a redheaded boy kissing a girl. Kurama doesn't know why he is doing this, but he doesn't feel good. Then an image of Hiei comes into his mind, and tears start streaming down his cheeks)

And you will never know
Cause there can be no happy ending

(The girl looks at him, concern in her eyes. Then she kisses him on the cheek, thanking him, then walking away, leaving Kurama staring at her, trembling)

Maybe another time, another day
As much as I want to, I can't stay

(Kurama runs in the rain, drenching his clothing, and making him tremble with fright and cold. Then he stops in the park, where he and Hiei usually stayed in the evening)

I've made up my mind
There is no turning back

(Then Kurama looks at the sky, wishing that Hiei will be there, then knowing that he had angered Hiei too much, and Hiei had made him suffer too much, he decided to at least let go of him and start a new life, but Kurama slumps his shoulders in defeat, knowing that Hiei has already become part of him and it is quite hard for him to let go)

She's been good to me
And she deserves better than that

(Then a shadow appears behind him, then pins him to the ground. Kurama gets a little afraid, then notices the almond-shaped eyes staring at him, with pain. Kurama sobs, then hugs Hiei closer to him, apologizing for everything he had done, and for everything he had said. Hiei's silent, then stares at Kurama)

I don't want to live a lie
What can I do

(Then before Kurama knows, Hiei kisses him on the lips, forgiving him what Kurama has done, and telling him that he still loves Kurama, even if Kurama betrays him. Kurama gets a little surprised at this, and responds to Hiei's kiss. Then Hiei pulls away, then tells Kurama, "Ai shiteru, kitsune. Ai shiteru." Kurama blushes, and hugs his one and only koibito. Then rose petals fall down to the ground)
