Makoto Kino got kicked out of her old school for fighting, so she started to attend Usagi's school. Makoto was first noticed when Usagi forgot her lunch and saw Makoto's. After that, the two became friends. Makoto was then introduced to Ami and Rei. In the Sailormooon R series, Makoto met a guy named Motoki (Andrew in the US) that worked in the arcade and she fell in love with him. But Makoto is boy crazy so that isn't unusual. She is also a very good cook.

Sailor Jupiter has the power of thunder. She wears the green uniform and she is very strong. She first realizes that she is Sailorjupiter when Sailormoon gets into trouble and Makoto goes to help from just a simple reaction. Luna then sees the glowing symbol on Makoto's forehead and know that she is sailorjupiter.
