America's Most Livable Cities

These were the top ten most livable cities out of 300 surveyed by Money magazine in 1996. The magazine cites the lowest unemployment rate, more than 300 technology companies, and 20,000 recession-resistant government jobs as factors for the survey.

  3. Rochester, Minnesota
  4. Fort Lauderdale, Florida
  5. Ann Arbor, Michigan
  6. Fort Meyers/Cape Coral, Florida
  7. Gainesville, Florida
  8. Austin, Texas
  9. Seattle, Washington
  10. Lakeland, Florida
Rockford, Illinois ranked last in the survey.
