SRX50/90 Joker/Shadow

This very attractive air-cooled, two-stroke scooter was intentionally designed to mimic an American look from the 50s and 60s to help satisfy the Japanese penchant for vintage products. It looks something like the offspring from a mating of a Vespa with a Harley. The model comes in both 50cc and 90cc versions, as it's primarily targeted at the youth market. Called the "Joker" in Japan, it's being marketed as the "Shadow" in Europe. This curious scooter is only being sold grey market in the United Kingdom and there are no known plans to import them into the USA.

SPECIFICATIONS: Both versions share the same bodywork, along with centrifugal clutch, belt variator transmission, forced air cooling, 10 inch wheels and front disc brakes. In Japan, there are several accessories available also. The SRX50 has a 12mm carb, bore of 39mm and stroke of 41.4mm, capacity of 49cc, effective compression ratio of 6.9:1 and produces 4.5hp at 6000rpms. By comparison, the SRX90 has a 14mm carb, bore of 48mm and stroke of 49.6mm, capacity of 89cc, effective compression ratio of 6.2:1 and produces 7.7hp at 6750rpms.
