The former band member of the "New Kids On The Block" returned after
isolating himself from the explosive world of musics in 1994. In 1998,
he revealed himself, bringing with him his debut songs, written by himself.
Being with the most popular boy-band never altered Joey's low profile image,
instead the old soul quoted "Call me Joe, Joey, Joseph or anything you
want, but buy my album".
Biodataup
Joseph Mulrey McIntyre was born in 31st December, 1972. He was the
last child borned by Katherine McIntyre to Thomas McIntyre in Needham,
Massachusets. Raised with a father raised in the era of Frank Sinantra
and Nat King Cole, he was a strong fan of both musicians, and made them
his inspiration in writing and performing songs. And not to forget, listening
to much of 80's singers like George Michael, Lionel Richie and so on add
some distinctive 80's characteristic to much of Joey's musics.
His Careerup
In late 80's, Joey joined a group of teenager who named themself New
Kids On The Block. Together, they went around the world as they performed,
like a magnet attracting fans from all over nations, mainly young girls
as the strong audience. The group was so successful that they even had
a cartoon dedicated to them and many more items than even rivaled
the popular British-pop group, Spice Girl. But as they get older, members
of the group begin discussing a plan to dissolve and start a life of their
own. The break happened in 1994, which saw the dissappearence of all the
band's members from the music world almost instantly, with no news regarding
them. After the break, Joey began to try new career, based on the entertainment
world, where he landed on a movie role, as a cast of "The Fantastik". Next,
feeling not quite satisfied of what he had achieved, he teamed up with
former band member Donnie and New Kids producer like Phil Green and Joe
Carrier. Together, they recorded songs written by Joey himself, resulting
in songs like "Stay The Same", "I Love You Came Too Late", "I Cried" and
many more. First, he released the album to fans through the internet, his
website-Joey McIntyre.com before being approached by Columbia Record. And
the fame began again......
