Kohaku does not want to stay in a world where Shuuichirou cannot see him and wait for 13 years. He cries. Hotaru the wisteria spirit asks if he cries because he can't go back to the future, but Kohaku says no.

"Then why?"

"It is because if Shuuichirou-san can't see me, then he won't know that I am here."

"Why are you distressed if Shuuichirou can't see you?"

"Because he is such a nice person. He always helps me when I need help, and he is very kind to Hisui-sama and others. Also..."

"Shuuichirou is not the only nice person in this world!"

"But I love him...?"

Suddenly, Shuuichirou hears the noise around the wisteria, but still he cannot see Kohaku. Kohaku calls out his name, and he asks who is in there.

Kouryuu returns to the present and is confronted by Kokyou and Hisui. Since Hari and Ryuuri has revealed everything, Kouryuu has to admit that he has left Kohaku in the past by himself. Hisui is planning to go to take Kohaku back with Kokyou's help. Yet, the wisteria shakes vigorously, and Kouryuu yells out that the tree is in fact Shuuichirou's mother.

Kohaku finally realized he likes Shuuichirou very much, and his heart aches because he cannot be seen by Shuuichirou. Hotaru would like to help Kohaku to get back to the future because she knows Kohaku is that very person Shuuichirou is going to meet 13 years later. However, Kohaku also understands that Hotaru will die if she helps him since not even an archangel can accomplish such a thing alone. Yet, Hotaru says she will stay long enough to wait for her lover to die, to watch over Shuuichirou to grow and to meet Kohaku 13 years later. In his final moment in the past, Kohaku yells out to young Shuuichirou that he must save an angel being attacked by a crow on the tree, or they will never know one another. When Kohaku returns to the right time, he apologizes profoundly to the wisteria tree that Hotaru has to use up all her energy to send him back. Hotaru asks him to take care of Shuuichirou, and she is happy to go to her dead lover at last. The wisteria tree bursts, but it dies happily.

Shuuichirou met grandpa in front of the store, and the two walks to the park together. The wisteria tree has died, and Shuuichirou asks if Kohaku is all right. Kohaku feels so happy he can now see him that he runs to embrace him. Grandpa smiles at them.

Grandpa has to return to Canada. He is happy that Shuuichirou has Kohaku by his side. Kohaku wants to walk him to the station, but Shuuichirou pulls at his arm, saying that there is a car outside waiting for him already. Kohaku blushes because of this. Hisui notices that and says it is getting very interesting, but Kokyou dislikes the idea that an angel falls in love with a human, particularly Shuuichirou. Just when he is about to say something about Shuuichirou, the rice cooker beeps and Hisui has to run off to it again.

Hisui has prepared tea for Shuuichirou, so Kohaku goes to call him. He finds out that he is looking at the tree where Hotaru used to take her naps. Kohaku asks him about the thing he said when they first met: he does not like things that are unreal. He explains that that is because unreal things cannot be controlled by human beings; if it is something real, he can still work hard for it, but if it isn't, then he cannot do anything. Kohaku understands that he is talking about Hotaru, but he does not mention it to hurt his feelings. However, Shuuichirou throws his jacket around him, saying that he may catch a cold in the night.

Kouryou has been hit by Kokyou on the face for what he did to Kohaku. He is angry, but knowing that Shuuichirou is the person whom Kohaku loves, he decides to "get a taste of him."

Shuuichirou chills from afar.
