Time for a little spring cleaning... Older images that I've been meaning to get rid of are now gone, and some new stuff has been added.

Darkness ... Yamato Zellar New 2.22.02! Darkness -- Probably the first 'Darkness' pic I drew. It's one of the few remaining proto-pics complete with name and little teaser. He looks like a girl and the markings are wrong... ^_^;; This was done with pencil crayons. ~ Darkness 2 -- I liked the way this cartoony style pic turned out. Plus it's one of the first ones I started doing tonal shading on. This is the proper Darkness marking & colors, plus he's got the kawaii star-type ears. This one was done with Aquarell Water Color Pencils. ~ Darkness 3 -- Another incorrect marking one-- but hey, I like it. He's got that not impressed look on his face. The model for this pose was a pic of Valgaav off Slayers Try vol. 3. It was doen with Aquarell's as well. ~ Yamato Zellar 1 -- This is my most recent Yamato. In this black & white line art, I think I get the closest to how I picture Yamato in human form. I like his hair, and he seems to look gentle here. I like that. Look, now I put creases in clothing-- see, a year of fine arts did help me. But I still can't draw hands. ^_^;; ~ Yamato Zellar 2 -- This is the colored version of that picture. Yamato's got long hair in it, and the not very visable spiral. It's a sort of inbetween look-- he's kinda human and kinda not. ^_^;; This was done with Aquarells, but it isn't washed like the other pics. ~ Yamato Zellar 3 -- This is my first attempt at coloring a picture with the computer. The program I used is pretty cheap, and I don't really know how to use it. Plus, my computer crashed right after I managed to save the file. I like the soft look the airbrush tool gave the picture. ~ Hope with Swords -- This was actually drawn before the Yamato 3 pic, and done wiht Aquarells. His pose is taken from a picture on a CCS calendar-- but I think he looks a little stiff. ~ Hope Plushie -- Isn't he cute? Done with Aquaarells. Tenkou Stone ... New 2.22.02! For some reason I have real trouble drawing Tenkou. ^_^;; ~ Tenkou 1 -- Her head is too big. T_T  p; But it's probably one of the first pictures I've drawn of her that I didn't just disregard. It's only pencil, since I was too lazy to color at the time I drew it. I'm not sure if I like her hair long. ~ Tenkou 2 -- In this one Tenkou has short hair.& I think she looks a bit like Riku Harada from D.N.Angel because of it. ^_^;; For some reason I always seem to try to draw her in that gown Rekki convinces her to buy in Songs 3. Not too fond of this picture either, but it'll have to do until I can do a better one. ~ Tenkou 3 -- I don't usually draw characters "big"-- and I guess you can see why here. I guess I'll have to see how it turns out after it's been coloured. Right now I'm still unsure if I care for it or not. Hikaru Hihane Hikaru 1 -- This is a scan of a pic I drew in Japan-- it was the first I'd ever drawn of Hikaru. It's not accurate-- the first pictures never are. ^_^;; But I like it because it only took 5 minutes to draw. He's got star-type ears for some reason, too. It's also the first pic to show the big influence Yukiru Sugisaki's D.N.Angel was going to have on my art. ~ Hikaru 2 -- This is a color one of likke Karu-chan in human form. He looks cute in a school uniform, but wow-- mulberry eyes are really freaky-looking. ^_^;; This was done with Aquarells, but not washed. The pose came from a picture of Daisuke Niwa in One Night Magic vol. 5 (D.N.Angel vol. 4). The Kanji reads vertical left to right "Hi-Hane Hika-ru", which means... "Fire-Feather-Shining" or "Shining Fire Feather." This was the frontpiece for Songs. Rekki ... Requiem ... Yggdrasil Rekki 1 -- This is a really old picture I finally got around to scanning. There are problems with it-- primarily the left beast/shoulder area. Her hair is kind cool, tho. Regular pencil crayons. ~ SD Rekki -- It's cute. ^_^ She's saying 'sugoi' or 'wow' in case you can't read my messy hiragana. Markers for this one. ~ Requiem 1 -- Wow, another of the first proto pics. It's not bad, nothing too wonderful though. Looks like it was done with markers. ~ SD Requiem -- This was another of the first pics I drew. He's supposed to be burning a paper of some sort. The caption was 'No, this is a flame'... I can't remember why I drew it. ^_^;; Must have been a flame war going on somewhere. Markers again. ~ SD Yggdrasil -- This is the first-- and to date only -- pic of Yggdrasil. I am actually going to have to draw her again. This was done at the same time as the SD Requiem, and using markers. Ethan ... Valentine ... Reims New 2.22.02! Elder Ethan -- This would be Ethan all "grown up" or Ethanael's human form. Yeah, I know it looks funny with the large hands. His hair is kinda silly, isn't it? Done with Aquarells and washed. ~ Likkle Ethanael -- This Ethanael's got his nunchucks(sp?) ready. I like his hair in this picture. He looks very cute. Done with pencil crayons. ~ SD Ethanael: Ethanael looking cool and wearing square-lensed glasses. I like his shoes and hair in this one. Done with pencil crayons. ~ Ethan Smiles at You-- This was modelled after the pose Daisuke Niwa is in on the cover of D.N.Angel gn 4, and was created as another possible frontpiece for Children of the Phoenix.. I am quite pleased with how this one turned out. I like his fortune earring. It was done with Aquarells and washed. ~ Fortune Cookie -- I thought this was so cute that I mmade it the frontpiece for Children of the Phoenix. To help with the pose, I referenced the STAFF drawing from D.N.Angel gn 4 to get the basic tilt of the head and position of the hand. It was colored with Aquarells and washed. ~ Children-- This was the original frontpiece I had drawn for Children of the Phoenix. I was quite pleased with how Ethan turned out, and it's one of the few drawings I bothered to do a background for. However, I wasn't happy with how Valen turned out. The figures were done with prismacolor pencil crayons and the background was doen with Aquarells. ~ Valentine -- A likkle Valentine, this time he's got Mr. Smiley-- his trusty baseball bat with him. I prefer his hair this way. Done with markers. ~ Valentine with Wings -- Wrong markings-- but I still like his wings. This is one of the few profile pics I've done. Markers & pencil crayons again. ~ Valentine and Mei Ling -- Valentine looks okei, but I don't like the way Mei Ling turned out. This was done with Aquarells and washed. It was going to be the frontpiece for Valentine's Day, but due to life I didn't get around to putting it up. ~ "Seraphin" Valentine -- This should probably be in the Tazo pics,, but then it would be apart from the rest of the Valentine stuff. I drew this on a page in my binder during an Art History lecture. This is what I think Valentine would look like during his stay in the Seraphin Universe... or perhaps it's his "updated" look for his appearance in Fallen. Gone over with black biro, it still needs to be coloured. ~ Ezekiel -- Not pleased with this one at all-- pencil crayons. Was happy with it at the time I drew it, but I don't think it's so great after all. Will have to suffice until I can get a better one of Zeke done. ~ SD Reims --I drew this in Yuki's apartment while I was in Japan because I didn't have any pictures of Reims, and Katy had asked about one since she wanted to know what he looked like. It just goes to show that just about any character looks cute when you draw them SD. Art By Katherine Coope ..... Chaoslace Requiem: One of the birthday pictures Katy sent me. Features Requiem walking through some flames with his jacket slung over his shoulder. I'm guessing the medium was Pencil Crayons. I really like this picture. ^_^ ~ Songs: Katy drew this sketch of what she imagined Requiem's family to look like. I think she also drew it so she could make a likke Requiem. He's so kawaii! His dad and Mom have markings that Katy designed herself. I love how Requiem's Dad (Loki) looks. ^_^ ~ Tenkou Stone: Katy tells me she pictures Tenkou as having more wavier hair than this. Her hair is longer than I picture it being, but it is good to finally have a nice picture of Tenkou! Thanks Katy. ^_^ *hugs* |
