Her father was a professor at Mugen School. But she had a darker past. She almost died at a nuclear explosion when she was a child. A power gave her and her father another chance. Since then, a darker side began to lurk on her. He broke this although she said she doesn't. She never came back to school because her classmates ridiculed her. CB(Chibiusa) befriended her as a part of her mission to have friends. CB(Chibiusa) recognized her power when she heal her wounds. Her evil side finally prevailed her when it had CB's(Chibusa's) clean heart, and revealed herself as the Messiah of Peace (or in this case, the Messiah of Destruction). Her father himself was possessed by an evil power. But countless memories kept the good side from isolating itself. Later it prevailed, and caused Sailorsaturn to appear. It destroyed the evil powers that made her and her father's lives actually miserable. After Sailormoon rescued her (and finished the fight), she became a baby. CB(Chibiusa) never saw the Hotaru she knew since then, but she found out from Sailorpluto that Hotaru has two personalities: Sailorsaturn and the Messiah of Peace/Destruction. (There are real-life Hotarus out there who have multiple personalities, have even more than Hotaru's). The personality of the Messiah of Peace/Destruction (the evil side) was destroyed. She became a baby again just to redevelop her good side. | |
