Disclaimer: I don't own Sailormoon Its owned by Naoko Tacheuchi, DIC,
Kodansha and a thousand others that aren't me. I don't have permission to
use any of the characters so please don't anyone Sue me.
A little bit about this story. Its set in the moon kingdom in case
you didn't know. This one is about Molly. I like her character but I don't
like Molly's Sailor Earth or anything like that so don't even think about
that happening in this story. There will not be any surprise Senshi popping
out of no where in my story. I have watched all the NA episodes except the
17 new ones that have not been aired here yet. So since I am a great one for
personalities, it is my belief that although it is the same story the
characters have different personalities. As a result for the inners I usually
use their NA names the outers I use Their Japanese names. Why? Well there is
no sense in making up fake names for the outers that no one will remember and
since most everyone knows their names in Japanese the only way you can tell
which one is which is by name similairities ex. Michiru-Michelle Hotaru-Holly
etc etc. As a result I don't make up new names. I use the Japanese royal name
because they sound better and it makes more sense in the longrun. Now this
is set in the moonkingdom so if I was doing this the NA way I would use all
their original names and just put Princess in front. However since I think
the names were meant to be as puns ex Tsukino Usagi Rabbit of the moon her
name is NOT Princess Usagi, therefore Princess Minako or Mina would make as
much sense as Princess Usagi. Like the original I used Mythology to base my
new Moon Kingdom names. I hope that I used them well enough for you to
figure out who is who so just in case I will give you a rundown.
Darien-'Endymion (this is the original name from The J series. Endymion was
supposed to be a handsome shepard that Selene the moon goddess fell
in love with he was put to sleep forever so she could always be with
him and he was also made immortal)
Serena-Serenity (Also her original name from J. Since the L and R sound
alike it could also be Selenity as in Selene Serenity is also a lake
on the moon)
Amy-Atlantis (I call her this after the lost city of Atlantis supposedly
the people who lived there were highly advanced. It was an island
surrounded by water so it just seemed to fit her.)
Raye-Phoenix (Phoenix was a bird associated with the sun god its colors
were red and yellow and it burned itself to ashes and every 500
years it rises again to do the same thing. It really fits here too)
Lita-Crete (Zeus is male Crete is supposed to be Zeus' mother so that is how
this name came about)
Mina-Aphrodite (I think this one is self explanitory goddess of love)
Michiru-Amphitrite (a nymph of the ocean. She turned Posiedon into the god
of the ocean)
Haruka-Poseida (feminine Posiedon *I hope* I could probably have just left it
but I didn't want to. The story of Posiedon is that he was the god
of the sky. when he fell in love with Amphitrite he became the god
of the sea.)
Hotaru-Hecate (the goddess asociated with evil and witches concidering that
she is the anti-messiah it just fits)
Setsuna-Chrona (my version of Chronus the god of time hmm why would I call
her that I wonder?)
Molly-Mollonia (no special reason just a name I picked out myself that sounds
close to her original name)
I haven't decided if the outers will even come into this story, yet. I gave
them names just in case. plus if I ever decide to do a sequal its nice to
have the names all picked out. You can read more of my stories at my site

Molly's Story by Mara
High atop a hill stood a golden palace. Overlooking the sea for many
years, this castle was the symbol of the ruling family of earth. One girl
stood at the top tower overlooking the sea. Her short red hair blew in her
face moving with the breeze. She stood uncaring of the world around her, her
thoughts mainly focused inward. The full moon glistened against the water.
Reflecting its light back up. The girl stood staring at the moon. *Selene,
the only thing that I want is friends. What is wrong with me that no one
likes me?* Tears streamed down her cheeks. Angrily she brushed them away. A
noise behind alerted her to anothers presence.
"Hey squirt! What are you doing up here?" The male voice asked
teasingly. The girl in question turned to face her brother. "Nothing much
just thinking."
"Thinking?" The blackhaired man repeated doubtfully. "Well don't do
it too much or you might overload your brain!"
"Endymion! Thats not funny!" Princess Mollonia scolded her brother.
Laughing together the two walked back into the palace. Endymion didn't
notice his sister's longing glance back at the moon.
Mollonia lay in bed that night, thinking about her wish. All of her
life she had been surrounded by people. They had gushed over her and rushed
to do stuff for her but only because she was a princess. Never had she had a
real friend. Someone she could trust and go on adventures with. A true friend
that she could tell her secrets too. She had grown up on falseness. The only
true thing in her life was her family. At least her mother father and brother
the rest of her family was the same as all those paper people she had been
surrounded by. They only wanted to be near her because of her title. Wishing
on the moon was a nice thought but she knew that she would probably never
have the kind of friends that Endymion had. He was surrounded by his royal
guard and they were all the best of friends. That was how she knew that all
people were not cold. But she did not kid herself, she just wasn't meant to
have true friends. Her life would be forever surrounded by illusion.
Princess Serenity cried. All of her life she had been surrounded by
people that she would trust with her life. She had grown up knowing friends
and somehow beleiving that all people had friends. It was one of the best
things that a person could have. She listened to the young girl's wish. Her
soft heart would not let the girl be alone any longer. *To be alone like that
surrounded by people who don't care if you are alive or dead from one minute
to the next..I couldn't imagine how that would be. No one should have to
live like that.* Serenity stared out her window at the softly glowing earth.
*I will find this girl and be her friend. I don't want her to be alone ever
again.* Brushing out her long silver hair, the young princess of the moon
hummed softly a melody from the waltz of the ball playing below her balcony.
Smiling to herself she went to bed, anxious for the next day when she would
go to meet this girl. *We are going to be the best of friends, I can feel it*
Mollonia walked slowly through the garden. The soft music floated
gently out of the doors and reached even the farthest part of the garden.
She hated these events. Men danced with her only because she was the princess
and she was rich. The same for the girls, they only talked to her because of
her status. She felt so alone and out of place here. A sigh escaped from her
was she the only one who felt like this?
A giggle sounded from the bushes beside her. Mollonia jumped startled
she looked around frightened only now realising how far away from everything
she had wandered. Desperatly she tryed to quell her fear. "Who's there?" She
wished her voice hadn't wobbled. The bushes from beside her rustled and from
out of them bounded a girl. Her silver hair had little leaves through it
and she giggled softly again.
"Hi! My name is Serenity and you and I are going to be the best of
friends." Mollonia looked startled at the strange girl "We are?" She felt
stupidly slow since the girl seemed to know exactly what she was talking
about.
"Yup!" Serenity picked the leaves out of her hair. "So what are you
doing? Oh a ball. How boring. Lets go on an adventure!" The silver haired
girl pulled a stunned Mollonia along with her out of the garden and off the
palace grounds.
Mollonia couldn't help but admire the strange girl next to her. She
had the feeling that they were already friends. Serenity had told her about
her life growing up in a palace and about all her friends. She didn't say
which country she was a princess of but that didn't matter. They had gone
out into the town where the local folks were also having a party. The streets
were decorated in colorful banners. Mollonia had been shy but Serenity had
convinced her to be more outgoing. The two had become friends very quickly
and Mollonia had never had a better time in her life. These people didn't
know who she was and they likd her for her, not for her title. She could
learn to love it here, but she knew deep down that if it wasn't for Serenity
she would not have come and she definitly wouldn't have met so many people.
It was a wonderful adventure and she didn't want it to ever end. For once
in her life she was a person and not an object.
Serenity stared at her new friend. *I'm glad she had fun but it's
getting late and time to go home. I hate to interupt her fun* She cleared her
throat and announced to Mollonia "Its getting late and time to go home."
The people they had been talking to groaned and made them promise to
come back. Mollonia followed the silver haired girl out and back towards the
palace. "I had fun today." Quietly she spoke what she had been wanting to
tell her knew friend for a while today.
"Yeah me too. I'm sorry for keeping you up so late. I have to go home
but I will come back tomorrow and we can go exploring okay?"
"Okay!" Standing outside of the palace gates the two girls stopped
and grinned at each other. "Well see yah tomorrow." Serenity turned and
walked away from the gate into the darkness. Mollonia also turned to the
palace she turned back one more time to look at her new friend only to find
that she was no where to be seen. Bouncing up the steps Mollonia grinned
brightly. Today was fun she had a new friend and tomorrow they were going on
another adventure.
Serenity walked around the palace, careful not to be noticed.
Eventually she found what she was looking for. Opening the big wooden door
she peeked around inside for occupants seeing only one person she slipped
carefully into the room.
"Hey! I thought we were going on an adventure today?" The red head
looked glumly over at her friend.
"I'm not allowed to leave the palace because I disappeared for so
long last night." Mollonia's eyes welled up with tears. "I guess I can't go
with you on an adventure for a while."
Serenity hugged her friend. "That's okay. We can do stuff here."
Mollonia looked at her in surprise. "Really?" at the other girl's nodd a
large smile broke out on her face. "What will we do?"
Serenity thought for a moment. "I know! We'll play dress up!"
After a strange look from Mollonia she explained "You know! Were we
each get make up a new hairstyle clothes and make-up for the other person.
It will be fun! So...Do you want to?" Mollonia nodded her head. "Great I get
to start." Serenity ran across the room and through open the wardrobe doors
she analized the clothing inside before finally picking out a suitable dress.
"this will be fun trust me." She stated giggling.
Mollonia ran a brush through the silver hair. "Serenity? How come you
always were your hair in that weird hairstyle?"
Serenity sat in silence for a second formulating an answer. "Well its
sort of the family hairstyle. All the women in my family must wear their
hair in this style. Its always been like that. It will probably always be
that way too. There is a story that it was the hairstyle of the great goddess
Selene and that she passed on the secret to my mother. And my mother passed
it on to me and one day I will pass it on to my daughter."
Mollonia sat in awe. "Wow Serenity that is great. I don't have any
special thing to pass on to my children." Her voice was wistfull with just
a hint of anxiety. Serenity shook her head. "Sure you do Mollonia. You have
your personality. I don't think any child of yours could ever be a mean
person. You passed on your niceness to them."
Mollonia smiled "You think so?"
"I know so!" Serenity looked into the golden hand mirror on the
vanity. "Wow Mollonia! You are so good at this. Now lets go out and see who
we can fool. We can't be our selves anymore. We have to be someone totally
different. Hmmmm. What names do you think will fit?" She looked over to Molly
questioningly.
The red head thought for a moment. "I know you be Selene and I will
be Gaea!" Thus decided the two girls set out around the palace in their new
disguises.
Endymion shot an arrow at the target. It hit slightly off the center.
Malachite stood off to the side watching his pupil's progress silently.
The rest of the guards stood around discussing the ball the night before.
"Did you see that Duchess of Weist? Her daughter was so gross. I had
to dance a dance with her and she stepped on my feet the whole time. And the
mother kept trying to hint that she was open for marriage like I'd really
want to marry that! No personality what so ever." Endymion silently agreed
with Jaedite on that. He himself had to dance a round with her but he had
met worse ones. All of them with their eye on becoming the next queen of
earth. For once he would like to meet a girl who didn't like him because he
was a king.
Lost in his own thoughts he hadn't noticed when the guards had
stopped their talk. The wolf whistle finally made him look up, then look
again. There were two lovely ladies but the one that caught his attention
had this silver hair. It glistened in the sunlight. His breathe caught and
it took him a moment to remember to breathe. He looked closer and recognised
the clothing as one of his sister Mollonia's. One glance at the redhead
confirmed the suspition of who that was but who was her friend? He hadn't
remembered Mollonia talking about this girl before. Suddenly they were right
there with them. Jadeite ws rushing into greating the girls.
"Hello beautiful ladies. I don't believe I have had the pleasure
surely such visions as yourselves would never be forgotten even by one so
simple as me." Sweeping a low bow he introduced himself "I am lord Jaedite.
And what may your names be?" Endymion almost laughed. Here was Jaedite
flirting with his sister! Didn't he recognise her. Still he listened
attnetively to the answer wanting desperatly to find out who the mysterious
girl with his sister was.
The two girl exchanged glances and giggled slightly. Finally the
red head stepped forward. "Good morrow my lord Jaedite. My name is Lady
Gaea and this is the Lady Selene." The two girls curtzied to the men.
Endymion bowed to the girls while at the same time looking curiously
over at his sister. Still he played along with whatever game she was playing
"My name is Endymion. It is a pleasure to make your acquantance." The others
also introduced themselves.
Serenity mentally profiled them into her knowlege of the earth.
Prince Endymion of Earth the four royal guard Malachite (the leader) Jaedite
Zoycite and Nephlyte. She filed this information away and smiled at the men
"What is it that you are doing?"
Endymion glanced at his longbow. "Oh just practising my archery."
Serenity's smile grew bigger. "Oh archery! Please may I try?"
Endymion wanted to say no but when he looked at her he found that he
could deny her nothing. Reluctantly he handed the longbow over to her. She
would just try it find that is was more difficult then she thought and then
stop.
Serenity took the bow from him. She walked to where he was standing
before and postioned herself. Drawing an arrow from the quiver on the ground
she strung the bow. aiming at the target, she pulled back and released the
arrow. It sang through the air and hit the bulls eye on the target. Smiling
happily that she hadn't forgotten her lessons she handed the bow back to
Endymion.
He took it from her hands numbly. Shock forced him to be silent while
millions of questions rang through his head. Mollonia (or Gaea which ever she
had decided on useing)was not silent however.
"Wow Selene! that was great! Where did you learn to do that?"
Serenity bowed her head shyly from all the attention. "Well Pheonix
taught me how to do it."
"Pheonix?" Malachite questioned interestedly.
Serenity nodded greatful for the attention not to be on her anymore.
"Yeah! She knows all about archery! She had to learn a long time ago since
it is one of her more powerful defenses. She is really good at it and she
taught me to do it too. Her power mostly thrives on fire however because that
is her main element from her pla...." Serenity trailed off quietly realising
that in her babbling she had let too many things slip. She looked around
wondering if anyone had noticed her slip. The one that she was most worried
about was Malachite. She looked closly at him only to find him also closly
watching her. He looked away and started talking as if nothing had happened.
*Uh oh* Serenity thought *Better watch him*
She also joined the talk careful not to let it show how nervous she
was. The rest of the day passed in carefull conversation.
Serenity walked along side Pheonix. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it
to slip out."
The girl looked at her and smiled comfortingly. "That's okay Serenity
I know you didn't. You were just nervous. So are they as cute as it is said
that they are?" She did not need to say who. All the girls had giggled many
a night over the supposed handsomeness of the Prince and his guards.
She looked dreamily at nothing for a second, thinking of Endymion.
"Yes they are all very handsome indead. The books have understated their
good looks. Or perhaps it is the charm that they forgot to add." She smiled
slyly at her friend. Well pretty soon you can meet them and judge for your-
self." The two girls were dressed in resplended party dresses. They were
not as beautiful as their regular clothing back home but they could not have
people even more suspitious then usual. The day before Mollonia had invited
Serenity to the ball being held tonight. The same one that they were headed
to now. To throw off suspition they had decided that Pheonix had to go along
and pretend to be some ordinary girl. A good coverup of Serenity's slip, if
all went as planned.
The girls walked inside the gate and were escorted by the footmen
into the ball. The two decended down the steps and Serenity led her friend
over to where Mollonia stood waiting for her. After the introductions men
came and swept them all away to dance.
Endymion watched his beauty from across the room. He had only met
her yesterday yet he already thought of her as his. He started to walk
to her and invite her for the next dance when he saw Malachite had already
beat him to it. Scowling slightly he went back to his position watching the
two jealously from his spot.
His scowl grew deeper when he saw Malachite pull her closer. He
decided that later he would have a long talk with the leader of his guard.
Finally after what seemed like hours of torture the dance was over. Endymion
decided to hurry and get to her before someone else. He had almost reached
her where she was still standing by Malachite when she abruptly turned and
left out the open door. The dark haired girl followed behind her but Endymion
was too intent on getting to his love to care about that.
He walked quickly through the garden and out to almost the farthest
part. Under a willow tree safely hidden from veiw came the soft sound of
crying. Knowing immediatly who it was he stopped to enter when he heard the
voice of another. The girl spoke to the other gently yet at the same time
forcfully almost protectively. Endymion listened almost accidentally to the
quiet conversation.
"Serenity....Look he knows what is going on. At least he suspects too
much of who we are. Listen to me Serenity, its too dangerous to stay here
any longer. If you don't see the reason. I will tell your mother. Please
Serenity, its too dangerous."
"Pheonix, I just can't leave her here alone! She doesn't have any
friends except me and you and she doesn't even know you very well. She will
be so alone again if I go now. Among all the paper people. I can't do that
to her."
"You have no choice Serenity. And I want you to think about this.
Are you sure that Mollonia is the only reason that you want to stay here?"
Silence for a while then a few muffled sniffs.
"No. She is a big part I think she might be okay now that she knows
what real friends are like and that they do exist but.....Oh Pheonix. I love
him! I know that it is so soon I only met him yesterday but I feel this pull
in my heart and soul. Its like I was never totally complete before I saw him
and now that I have its like the other half of me is there the part that
I didn't know was missing but I was always looking for. Its like love at
first sight but its not really since I feel as if I've known him forever."
"Serenity...I want you to ask him if he loves you. Tonight! If he is
like you say, your other half then he must already love you. If he says no...
then I want you to forget about it and come back home."
"Pheonix....Oh alright. I'll do it!"
Endymion stood frozen. The rest of the conversation flew over his
head he only heard that his love would leave him and that she was in love! In
love with someone who might not be him! He was brought abruptly back to earth
when he realised that they were leaving. Quietly he snuck back to the ball
feeling as if his whole life was crushed beneath the heal of some uncaring
god.
He stood again in the corner sulking. He didn't want to even think
about it. About what was about to happen. A tapping on his shoulder brought
him back to the ball around him. He turned to face the vision of lovelyness.
Pheonix had called her Serenity but Mollonia had introduced her as Selene
then again Mollonia had also introduced herself as Gaea. So he knew that her
name must be Serenity. He looked at her questioningly at the same time he
tryed to memorise every detail about her knowing that he may never be able
to see her again.
"Your Majesty. May I have this dance?" She held out her hand politly
and gracefully he accepted it.
The two glided onto the dance floor matching each others rythm and
dancing together like they had always danced with only one another.
"My lord. Do you love me?" The softly spoken question took Endymion
by surprise. He didn't expect to be asked a question like that. To surprised
to even think he answered with the truth. "Of Course!"
He blushed when he realised what he had said. Serenity also blushed
but the smile that lit her face was like a million lights had been turned on
suddenly. He felt blinded by the light she seemed to give off. "I love you
too. Endymion." He felt a stupid grin light up his face. Giddely the two
finished the dance without even noticing the music.
Afterwards they seemed content to just stare at each other happily.
From across the room Pheonix closely watched the couple. She danced
mechanically in Lord Jaedite's arms. Serenity was right he was so much more
better in real life then he was described in the books. If it wasn't for
Serenity she would have thoroughly enjoyed the dance with him, but she
could tell from the expression on the two's faces that she had asked and she
knew what his answer had been. Although Pheonix was glad that Serenity had
found love, and it was true love she could feel it in her bones, she was also
sad that it had happened. She had wanted the princess back to the palace
surrounded by the guard and safe. It seemed however that this was not to be.
There was only one way now to keep Serenity safe and that was to bring the
guard here.
She knew that she would have to have them come with her from now on.
With that decision out of the way she felt her heart lighten a little bit.
Here she was her princess would be as safe as possible and she was dancing
with one of the hottest men in the galaxy, it was time to start thinking
about where she was.
The dance had ended and Jaedite seeing his conversation was not being
returned was although sad that this beauty did not seem to be interested,
almost glad to be able to dance with someone who would think about him when
they were dancing together. He was very surprised when she grabbed his elbow
and asked him to dance again. He agreed quickly, not knowing why he should.
Pheonix appoligised to Jaedite, his lost puppydog look was so cute
but she couldn't stand to see him sad and she knew that it was her fault. The
least she could have done was to pay attention to what he was saying or
maybe at least answer him using more then one word.
She danced with him again, this time she had to make the conversation
for he seemed content to not speak. After a while he seemed to come out of
his slum and they finished their dance talking and laughing. She walked over
to Serenity who was now joined up with Endymion and Mollonia. After
exchanging pleasantries, Pheonix and Serenity excused themselves to go home
after being invited to a picnic outing the next day. The two agreed and left
for home giggling quietly over the days events.
Atlantis sat quietly reading a book. She wished that the man next to
her would take the hint. Ever since she had come to this picnic Lord Zoycite
had been following her around like a lost little dog. It would be cute
except for the fact that she was trying to read and he would not leave her
alone. He kept talking to her and polite etiquette would not let her be
silent. However she made sure to keep her answers to a minimum hoping he
would leave. That was over three hours ago and she had long since then given
up hope.
Lord Zoycite smiled when Atlantis put down the book. She was
beautiful and he had been trying this whole time to get her to pay attention
to him. It seemed that all his hard work had finally paid off. Now maybe she
would start talking to him for real. He had a feeling that she would be a
great person to talk to. His grin turned quickly to a frown when she stood up
and walked away from him. Not one to give up so quickly he got up and
followed her.
Crete laughed silently. Pheonix was cautious yet curious while
talking with Jaedite. Atlantis was finally wearing down and Zoycite might
yet teach her to lighten up. Serenity was happily chattering away with
Endymion and Aphrodite was very cautious while around Malachite. She herself
was having a grand time flirting and teasing Nephlyte. It all seemed to be
working out. Each inner with the four guards and the princess and prince all
paired together. It seemed almost funny the way it had turned out. Now if
only it would stay that way. She didn't kid herself, the reason why Pheonix
had them all come here was because of the danger to the princess. Especially
from Malachite, he was a suspitous one if ever there was. She didn't envy
Aphrodite who's job it was to keep him from being suspitious. Now all that
was left was for fate to be kind and have everything go right. The screams
told her that fate was very unkind indead.
"Formation alpha!" Aphrodite screamed while standing in front of
Serenity. The rest of the girls formed a circle around her protecting her
from all sides. The guards and palace soldiers were also surrounding.
Endymion and Mollonia. Masked people came out of the trees surrounding the
area they were at.
"Bandits!" One of the soldiers shouted.
They went to work fighting them yet for some reason they were losing.
Pheonix suddenly realised why it was. "Chalinite Warriors!"
Aphrodite spin-kicked the one nearest her. "How did they get here?
Never mind. Attack pattern Cappa. Now!" She held out her arm. "Love Chain!"
"Ice Blades!"
"Thunder Staff!"
"Fire Bow!"
Weapons appeared in their outstretched hands. The Chalinite
surrounded them. Calmly they started to attack with their weapons. At first
it seemed that they would win until a scream came from the other side of the
clearing.
"Mollonia!" Serenity broke from the circle and ran after the girl,
who was being dragged away by some of the bandits. She ignored the voices
behind her telling her to come back. Her only thought was of Mollonia and
keeping her safe.
Phoenix looked after her Princess. "We have to protect her! It does
not matter if they find out when she is dead." She put an arrow through the
bandit in front of her.
Aphrodite shouted above the roar of the battle. "Phoenix! Attack
pattern Beta! Now! Do it!"
Dropping her bow Phoenix brought her arms up and around herself.
Fire ran up her arms and covered her body. She brought her arms up over her
head. "Phoenix Firebird Attack!" The fire surrounding her left her body and
rose up in the air. Wings spread out and a scream escaped from the monstrous
form. It whirled around and just as suddenly went back to Phoenix. The bird
evaporated and the fire raced again over her body before disappearing.
The bandits lay smoking on the ground, all of them were dead. Without
stopping to analize this the girls ran after their Princess and the earths
Princess. The guards soldiers and Endymion ran after them.
They found them not too far ahead. None of the Chalinite where there.
Crete stopped by Serenity to make sure she was okay. "What happened?"
She looked questioningly at Serenity.
"I ran after Mollonia and when I got there they grabbed me and threw
me down but I ran after them again and they just suddenly left. I don't know
why." Serenity held on to Mollonia. They were both unhurt but the other girl
was very shaken up by what had happened.
Serenity asked the question that was on all the other girl's minds
"Why were they here?"
Malachite stepped forward confidently "I could ask the same question
for all of you.......Lunarians."
Oh cliff hanger. I don't feel like writing any more for right now.
I will probably update at my site more then here. Then again I might not.
