The Amazing Switch! Those Pesky Colorguard
Slayers, Sorcerer Hunters, Dragonball Z, band
This one neatly falls under the "band-induced" category. And it's one of the few dreams I've ever had where part of the logic sort of makes sense.

It was a motley band of heroes. Goku and Piccolo from Dragonball, and Tira Misu and Gateau from Sorcerer Hunters. Except Goku had suddenly been replaced by Carrot (Carrot, Kakarott. Logic sorta clicks), and Tira Misu was replaced by Lina Inverse (both voiced by Megumi Hayashibara originally. Somewhat logical). It was OAV series Lina rather than TV series Lina, though.

Anyway, the four of them were in the courtyard of some sort of castle, where the colorguard from all the bands were throwing a party. However, Plymouth-Canton's colorguard (who for some reason was wearing MY band's uniforms) were looking for Goku and Lina. Well, Lina was there, and Carrot insisted that he was Goku. Piccolo agreed that Carrot was really Goku, because they both had carrot-ish names, and both could turn into big hairy monsters.

However, the colorguard weren't convinced, and decided to take Lina hostage. Gateau demanded to know what they wanted with Goku and Lina. And then the guard made their intentions painfully clear....

They needed Goku and Lina..... to go grocery shopping for them....
