Tyr Road [300]

The apartment buildings and hotels give way to smaller, less expensive and

privately owned buildings of like sort. Then those eventually dwindle to what

you find on either side of you now. Yes, various scents of delicious food of a

wide assortment of styles, flavours, and nationalities entices your olfactorial

senses..attempting to lure you in for a bite, or five. Make no mistake,

however. It doesn't come as cheap as those fast food places around southern

Tyr Road..though you'll definately appreciate the higher quality. At a point

up ahead, the road and street becomes an unpaved trail, towards the start of

the steep walls that the mountain atol surrounding Midgaard creates. A deep

gorge carved by forces long forgotten and lost to legend is to the west

here..and a suspension bridge has been erected so that pedestrians might take a

stroll across it to Sif Way to the east, and marvel at it.

>S. Ryu polishes an apple briefly, and chomps into it in a somewhat kawaii

manner. n.n

>Garr walks in from the south, rubbing his chin as he tries to figure out where

Ryu is keeping the apple tree

>Soreth blinks, lazily coiled up.

>Garr scans Soreth . o O ( Is this the Brood home city...? Dragons everywhere. )

>Soreth sizes up the new reptile. "Greetingsss.'"

>Garr nods slowly to the serpent. "Good evening to you."

>Soreth asks, "I am new here... could you tell me the name of thissss world?"

>Garr reaches up to slowly rub his chin. "The city is known as Midgaard... on

the plant 'Earth', if I recall."

>S. Ryu gets a question, but since the snake is a dragon..or at least..-looks-

like one, he sees no harm in asking. He looks up at Garr.. "How come I can

retain a human form, but it takes effort to hold a dragon one, if I'm really a

dragon?" ^_^;;

>Soreth nods. "Earth again!"

>S. Ryu blinks. o.o; "Errr...I thought that's where someone said they were

-from-." x.x

>Soreth blinks... dragons?

>Garr blinks, and looks down at Ryu, then at Soreth

>S. Ryu blinks back, patiently. o.o

>Soreth closes his eyes for a moment, and begins to examine the Patterns of

those nearby. (OOC) Not a deep scan... just basic information like species,

magikal power levels, etc

>You whisper, "Garr's WIERD... not much magic too him, but he doesn't seem to be

a normal being." to Soreth.

>S. Ryu (OOC) is a dragonish being in human form..or human with dragonish

attributes. x.x

>Soreth. o O ( Lords above... I need to be more careful... I took that one for

human! )

>Garr looks down at Ryu. No reason for further discretion. "... I believe it has

to do with the massive amount of chrysm energy required to sustain such a

powerful form over an extended period..."

>l sor

Soreth

Soreth appears to be a snake, but has wings and is almost 30 feet long!

Gray-blue scales cover his body, except his front, which is covered in large

white scutes that run from chin to tailtip. Embedded in his chest is also a

purple jewel, oval in shape, that shines with a strange light. Just below the

jewel is a wicked-looking scar that looks barely healed. His wings are quite

muscular and have an impressive span of about fifty feet. A fan-like ridge runs

down his back to his tailtip, where a fin across the last three feet of his

tail has grown. Sharp green eyes take in everything from a head quite

definately a snake's. Fangs are visible as Soreth's tongue flickers out,

"tasting" your scent. His scales shimmerslightly and seem to shift position

from time to time. His eyes burn with sorrow and pain...

>Soreth blinks, not quite understanding the answer, but...

>Soreth. o O ( Still... Earth! Oh, if I had a gem for every world I've been to

named Earth, I'd be the richest being in the universe... )

>Soreth hisses "Earth.... ironic, to ssssay the leassst."

>S. Ryu nodnods. n.n "Okay." It's good enough for him at least.

>Garr says, in a deep voice, "... I do not believe I caught your name."

>Soreth hisses "I am Ssssoreth."

>Garr says, in a deep voice, "I am the Guardian Garr. You have probably met Ryu

already..."

>S. Ryu waves. n.n;

>Soreth nods.

>Keiko arrives from on the bridge.

>Keiko has arrived.

>Soreth asks, "Tell me... have you heard of anyone named Mikado?"

>Soreth breaks off as this new person arrives.

>Garr shakes his head slowly, not noticing the new arrival

>A rather disheveled Miki comes in, holding a load of books. o O ( I'll just

read these between training sessions! ) She collides with a pole, sending books

everywhere and a pair of dark shades. She then sweatdrops and searches around

for them in the manner of someone blind. She has her eyes closed, anyway.

>Soreth hisses "Damn."

>Garr half-heartedly mutters, "Perhaps a description might help..." as he looks

over his shoulder at the girl

>Soreth helps her with the books, moving them about with magik since wings are

not good for that sort of thing.

>Soreth winces.

>Soreth hisses "I would tell you, if only I could remember her fully..."

>Soreth sobs. The books floating around fall to the ground.

>Miki says, "Eh? Who's there? Dern glasses..." She searches around blinding for

them.

Keiko

What a strange girl you see. O.O From her feet to her head, she basically has

her whole body clothed! Her feet, decked in a pair of loafers that make her

feet look rather clumsy and large and a pair of sagging socks, are overshadowed

by a very long and full, dusty rose skirt. She then has on a long-sleeved

blouse, which she doesn't bother to tuck in, yet instead wraps a belt around it

at a jaunty angle.

Her face is another story. Framed by a scarf with a floral pattern and

secured by a panama hat, she looks like some eccentric young lady, which is not

helped by a pair of round black glasses perched upon her small nose. Her hair,

a frizzy dark brown, is held in the back with a pink ribbon. She looks rather

silly, if not mysterious. Who knows what secrets this young girl has?

Carrying:

>S. Ryu hums and walks over to help look. o.o

>Garr turns around, walking over, picking up books.

>Soreth blinks back painful memories and levitates a few books.

>The glasses are a few feet away from her.

>Soreth deftly plucks up the glasses and places them on the bridge of her

nose... from about fifteen feet away.

>Miki feels the glasses put on her nose and opens her eyes. . o O ( Gah! Big

snake guy! Must guard small kid from snake guy! O.O )

>Garr stands a few feet away from Miki as well. You're in trouble, eh?

>Soreth hisses "Greetingsss."

>S. Ryu blinkblinks at Miki. o.o

>Miki gets up and bows respectively. She then inches protectively by Ryu. -.-

>Garr holds the books he collected out for Miki

>Miki goes to Garr, grinning. "Thanks, Mr. Garr."

>Garr nods

>Soreth hisses "Do not worry..."

>Soreth bows in an intricate manner. "I do not mean harm."

>Miki asks, "Eheh... What made you think I thought you meant harm?"

>Soreth hisses "Your reaction wasss obviousss. Do not worry; I encounter it

often."

>Cloud has arrived.

>Cloud steps out, closing the door behind him.

>Miki looks at Cloud's sword. O.O;;

>Garr stands near Miki and Ryu. He's a rather large fellow.

>Cloud raises an eyebrow, and decides not to say anything, merely inclining his

head in a nod before striding to the south.

>Cloud leaves south.

>Cloud has left.

>Miki gathers the bnooks from Garr and smiles. "Thank you... I can't stop to

chat right now, but hopefully I will later."

>Garr nods again

>Miki waves and walks away.

>Keiko leaves north.

>Keiko has left.

Katsuo

Standing at about 5'9", the strange young man before you seems to radiate an

aura of bad luck. His features can be considered handsome, with slim, sharp

eyes and an athletic build. One may consider him human at first glance, but a

closer one would prove otherwise. His ears, normally hidden behind his neatly

combed lavender hair, are slightly pointed, almost elven. Even stranger are his

eyes, with their unique pink irises, which at times seem to go red when the

light hits them right. His bangs reach out and dangle before his face, swaying

ever so gently with the man's every movement. Another oddity lies within the

mysterious tattoos marking his face, the designs resembling crimson boomerangs.

A pair marks his forward, their apexes pointing towards each other. Two more

dot the outside corners of his eyes, giving him a highly foreign appearance.

At the moment, the man is clothed in a velvet cloak of dark purple, which

nicely matches his hair. Beneath the cloak he wears a sleek red shirt and a

pair of baggy black slacks, both of which gives him an almost archaic look.

Etched bands of silver encircle his wrists and ankles, further complimenting

his foreign appearance. Lastly, a pair of purple leather boots adorns his feet,

the cuffs hanging loosely about his shins.

Despite his odd state of dress, this person seems to blend in with the general

crowd, as if his very presence were obscured by some strange magic. He moves

about with a fluid, even inhuman grace, his strange eyes darting about to take

in his surroundings. With a faint smile on his lips, and a shadow nearby, he

constantly seems to be on the move, always wary, always watchful, and always on

the job... whatever that may be.

>Garr stands there like a lump, apparently, rubbing his chin in thought

>Destiny remains there like a raven on a telephone wire, as if she was watching

prey. Even the slightest gusts of wind play havoc with her cloak.

>Felicia arrives from the south.

>Felicia has arrived.

>Kitty walks through....not wanting any attention drawn to her as she hurries by.

>Felicia walks onto the bridge.

>Felicia has left.

City Square

Welcome to the middle of the sleepy (yeah, right), humble mountain city of

Midgaard. The peaks that surround the somewhat smallish sprawl of

constructions about you appear a vibrant, cool purple at this distance..capped

with off-white snow at the tops. Although the town itself recieves little

precipitation from being sheltered by this atol of sheer rock, a cold wind does

comb and filter its way through..providing a brisk, though arid, atmosphere.

On the southwestern pointing end of town, a small, manmade pass in the

mountain valley allows for easy access from the bustling world outside. To

your north and west are the commercial districts..manufacturing, shipping, and

selling various consumable goods. In the east, to the 'horizon', appear to be

homes of various architectural influences..the more wealthy of said houses

bordering a small alpine lake and park. To the south, the middle-class homes

continue, thinning out just before the open gap to the highway beyond.

As for where you stand..it is the Midgaard City Square..Several government

offices and the larger buildings can be found on the sides of the slightly

misnomered elliptical, cobblestoned intersection. No actual automobile traffic

passes here, being routed through the side streets..this is a strictly

pedestrian and bicycle zone. A large, granite fountain with a statue of Odin

atop it towers nearly two stories prominantly in the center. There are also

benches about for taking a quiet repose from the hustle of daily life.

>Gambit looks to Garr... "Dere were many girls passin' here, mon ami, but none

Intersection: Odin/Sif

The old, antiquish homes of Eastern Odin part ways for a moment, to let more

modern ones and private businesses have the right of way along Sif Way to the

north and south. In the distance to the west, the homes give way to the

Midgaard City Square, while to the east, they continue on for as far as you can

see..farther east, some of the older plots have yielded to newer, larger

structures surrounding what appears to be a forested area.

>Garr trudges in from the west... he hasn't said anything, and isn't brandishing

his spear, but it's a safe bet you know he's here

>Es-chan is sauntering along at an even pace. Apparently knowing where she's

going...she pauses..glancing over her shoulder. Arching a slender eyebrow

>Garr takes a step forward. "Good evening, dragon. I've had the pleasure of

running into a friend of yours..."

>Es-chan blinks once idly, "Is that so deary? And whom might that be? I have

sooo many friends you see.." in a generally annoyed tone. But isn't hostile.

>Garr is a tad more hostile then Esmerelda, at the moment. He takes another step

forward. "A young man by the name of Gunter. He had many interesting things to

say about you after I broke him."

>Es-chan frowns distastefully, "Is that so deary? Such as?" more upset with

Gunter for apparently spilling on her.

>Garr takes another step forward, cracking his knuckles this time. "He was very

stubborn... unwilling to venture information until he was near death. He was

deathly terrified of you, and more importantly, what would happen to his friend

if anything happened to you..."

>Es-chan is still particularly upset that Gunter broke down. She decides to

punish him for his stupidity later. Then she looks back up to you

nonchalantly, not terribly intimidated it would seem, "I see deary. Well thank

you for telling me this. I'll be certain to..properly discipline him for his

cowardice."

>Garr takes several more steps forward, not stopping until he stands right in

front of Esmerelda. He looks down at her, with his ruby eyes. He says, with

righteous anger, "My patience wears thin, dragon. You will tell me what kind of

hold you have over his friend, or I will slaw you where you stand."

>Es-chan glances up to you, her emerald eyes twinkling through her seagreen

bangs with a inky shadow cast over her otherwise perfect complexion, she

intones, "That sounds something dangerously like a threat deary." her arms fold

behind her back as she tilts her head to the side, "I truly suggest learning

manners and prehaps a kind word or two draws more than puffing your wings like

some egotistical rooster moments before being beheaded for supper."

>Garr narrows his ruby eyes, their faint glow boring into your pupils. "I do not

make idle threats. God has given me the power to destroy you if I so wish.

Answer my question, and leave the citizens of this city in peace, and you will

live."

>Garr . o O ( This one... this is the only dragon to ever openly oppose me...

why? )

>Lyrae arrives from the west.

>Lyrae has arrived.

>Lyrae blinks, ducking behind a building o O ( Was that -..? )

>Garr stands mere inches in front of Esmerelda, staring down at her, obvious NOT

pleased with something she's done

>Lyrae . o O ( And that guy.. Garr? What's going on? )

>Es-chan smiles faintly at Garr, holding her hand out to him slowly. Her MUCH

smaller hand slowly tries to rest on his own gargantuan version ^_^

>Garr swats Esmerelda's hand away (or tries to). "No games. Only answers."

>Lyrae . o O ( Answers..what's the question? )

>Katsuo walks in from the north.

>Katsuo has arrived.

>Garr stands mere inches in front of Esmerelda, staring down at her, obviously

NOT pleased with something she's done

>Lyrae is hidden beside a building, watcihng the duo..

>Es-chan's hand DOESN'T MOVE. Her feet..even tho her legs do not move..

suddenly DIG into the pavement with the force of your slap.causing a few bits

and pieces of pavement to crack open. But her hand GRIPS yours with strength

-=WAY=- more than what she appears capable of. In practical terms enough to

turn steel to putty, but doesn't actively try to break your hand..just to be

startling..as she tries to YANK you down to her eye level! Her eyes flare

wickedly as she grates, "You. Need to learn humility deary. For a

Priest..your seriously lacking in that Virtue. Do not presume to speak down to

ME you anachronistic assassin."

>Katsuo walks in quietly, glancing about with wary eyes. He calms slightly,

having left the vicinity of Minako.

>Lyrae blinks, her green eyes shifting towards Katsuo as he enters..

>Garr narrows his eyes, drawing forth his spear with his other hand (... though

you're not sure where he was keeping it). "The games are over dragon. Die." He

wrenches his hand away with his massive strength... possibly not freeing

himself, but hopefully distracting her... as he thrusts towards Esmerelda's

heart with his deadly polearm.

>A point of blinding white light appears in the air, expanding slowly into a

perfect circle of radiance which then resolves itself into Alhazad, who now

hovers before you.

>Alhazad arrives, with Eria following behind.

>Lyrae is tucked away beside a building, hiding o.o;

>Garr's arm is gripped by Esmerelda's, as he brings the blade of his spear down

at her chest

>Katsuo glances over at the battling duo, blinking in surprise. He steps to the

side, leaning into the shadows as he watches, curiously. His facial tattoos

glint for a moment.

>A lamp post several feet from Katsuo flickers out.

>Lyrae brings her hand to her mouth, stifling any gasps as she watches the

confrontation..and blinks as the lamp post goes out. o.o O O ( Someone didn't

pay their bill. )

>Garr notices Al'Hazad out of the corner of his eyes, but he's a bit too

occupied to react...

>Lyrae didn't. Luckily.

>Es-chan frowns as the spear suddenly appears. This time as you pull back the

laws of physics say that her very small foot surface area isn't going to keep

her down as you litterally FLING her slight weight out of the way.. as you STAB

forward where she -was-. She is now in a full flip in the air..twisting about

with flawless acrobatics then landing some distance away. She dusts herself

off as she turns around, "I do not have time for this deary." her long seagreen

hair floats down around her shoulders majestically, she holds a hand out,

"Magma Dance." With that..her fingers seem to flicker as if on fire..then a

HUGE Smokescreen fills the area..completely obscuring all in sooty acrid smoke..

>Al'Hazad arrives with a surprise in tow. When the glow which heralds his

arrival has faded, it becomes apparent that he's brought someone with him. His

carefully prepared introduction of the 'new and improved' Eria gets stifled all

at once as he takes note of the conflict ensuing before him.

>Katsuo's irises shift to red as the smoke obscures his vision. He blinks once,

then squints, peering through the soot to watch the battle.

>Lyrae pauses as she catches the glow out of the corner of her eye, and turns

her head..mentally SHRIEKS and ducks back further into the shadowed overhang of

the building.

>Lyrae . o O ( This..was a *VERY* bad time to go looking for the store!! )

>Alhana arrives from the east.

>Alhana has arrived.

>Gambit arrives from the west.

>Gambit has arrived.

>Lyrae is hidden thanks ^_^

>Garr doesn't seem concerned about the smokescreen... if it hinders his

breathing, or his eyesight, you can't tell. He clasps his hands together, and

chants scriptures. "In the name of God herself you shall perish, evil beast!

INFERNO!" Wherever Esmerelda is... if she's here... the ground beneath suddenly

explodes upwards in a white-hot flare

>Alhana frowns, slowing her steps as she nears the intersection. She looks

around, clearly searching for someone. o O ( Where did Lyrae get to now..? )

>Gambit is walking up the road, whistling, and unwrapping a newly-bought pack of

poker cards..

>Eria glares at Al'Hazad, as what passes for her memory of the past short while

comes back, and she wishes extremely painful things onto him.

>Lyrae blinks as she pokes her head out of the little alley hiding place long

enough to spy Alhana. o O ( EEP! ) She pauses.. then sticks her arm out and

waves it frantically to her o.o;;;

>The huge inferno RIPS through the smokescreen! Immediately burning off the

soot and ash into white harmless debris as it billows away in the updraft.. as

the conflagation finally runs out.. it would seem..apart from a huge patch of

molten pavement..Esmerelda is gone. Destroyed?

>Esmerelda has left.

>Katsuo sinks further into the safety of the shadows, wondering if it's safe to

continue watching the fight.

>Gambit blinks. o.o; "Huh??"

>Garr narrows his eyes . o O ( She still lives... but has escaped... )

>Lyrae . o O ( She's gone. Goody o.o;; But there's the matter of that thing >.> )

>Alhana dives to the side in a simple roll at the explosion, moving for cover.

The roll takes her in Lyrae's direction, just enough to spot her. Nearly

tripping, her ears ringing from the explosion upon the pavement, she stumbles

over there.

>Alhana . o O ( What in the hell was THAT!?! )

>Gambit says, "Dere's another fight? c.c;;"

>Lyrae comes out of hiding enough to scoot towards Alhana and help her into her

precious hiding space >.>;;

>Al'Hazad glances down at the pavement for a moment of contemplation. He arrives

at a decision quickly, and removes both himself and his charge from the

violence ensuing.

>A globe of brilliant whiteness engulfs Alhazad and then slowly shrinks away

into nothing, collapsing in on itself and taking him with it.

>Alhazad leaves, with Eria following behind him.

>Garr stands in the middle of the street, spear hefted. He places the butt on

the pavement as soon as both Esmerelda and Al'Hazad have vanished, and utters a

silent prayer.

>Gambit pockets his new deck...

>Garr . o O ( Where IS she...? )

>Gambit exclaims, "Gambit seein' more fights den when he train in danger room!"

>Gambit grins, shaking his head.

>Katsuo steps free from the shadows, walking along the street again as it is

apparantly safe. His facial tattoos glint.

>In a nearby house, someone accidentally drops a dish.

>Lyrae . o O ( >.> <.< Looks clear o.o )

>Esmerelda pages, "if you can sense Magic you know she teleported and can even

figger out which vague direction she went ^_^" to you.

>Garr exhales, and snarls. He says, to nobody in particular, "Did anyone spy

where she fled?"

>Alhana mumbles, "What ..... ..... .. .. .." to Lyrae.

>Lyrae mumbles, "..... me .. .. I just ..... into ..... .. .. ..

..... ..... .. Garr .. and ..... staring ..... other down .. ..

she said something ..... ..... ..... ..... .. .." to Alhana.

>Gambit says, "Sorry, mon ami. Gambit jus' came here."

>Katsuo silently shakes his head, blinking. He brushes his bangs back, then

takes a clean breath.

>Derek arrives from the east.

>Derek has arrived.

>Garr stands in the center of the intersection, hands clasped in prayer

>Alhana is in the entrance to the alley with Lyrae, quite ducking for cover. A

good amount of smoke and debris fill the area, Derek.

>Katsuo quietly mutters a norse phrase under his breath, gesturing with a hand.

>Derek stops scowling long enough to look up, his hair getting blown back o_o;

"What the %^#@$..?"

>A gently breeze picks up in the area, slowly but surely cycling out the smoke.

>Garr . o O ( She is nearby... but where... )

>Alhana slowly stands up, dusting herself off, her face pale. Looking around,

she asks of no one in particular, "Where the hell did Esmerelda go NOW??", her

eyes searching the area.

>Lyrae blinks, "Vanished. Retreated. o O ( Who cares, ) "As long as she's

-GONE-." -.-"

>Garr turns, far faster then one of his size should be able to, towards Alhana.

"You know of her as well?"

>Gambit asks, "Gambit hear many things 'bout dis Esmeralda. Who de hell is she??"

>Garr answers Gambit, "Filth. The lowest form of life."

>Gambit says, "...Dat doesn't explain a lot, mon ami. -.-;;; Dere's lot of filth

in dis city."

>Derek blinks as the smoke clears. He quickly runs over, jumping over debris on

his way to, "Alhana, did I just hear that right..?"

>Alhana frowns at Garr, taking his size and appearance in stride apparently.

She pushes several loose locks of red hair out of her face as well. "Not

personally, no. But I'd love to.." she adds in a darker tone of voice, tapping

the hilt of her sword. Glancing at Derek as he nears, her eyes immediately

narrow into twin flares of emerald.

>Lyrae goes up on tiptoe and peeks over Alhana's shoulder as she hears Derek's

approach.

>Katsuo looks up at the sudden appearance of females. He takes a step back,

suddenly looking uneasy.

>Garr holds his fist up. "She escaped before I could strike her down. Her, and

her minion."

>Derek stops, catching Alhana's look. He blinks a few times, "Uhm..somethin'

wrong?" o_o;

>Gambit has disconnected.

>Alhana advances a single foot towards Derek, gesturing at him. "THIS is how you

watch out for her?! Arguing stupid tactics and what not with other guys while

she walks right on out into the middle of a fight?" Her words, while heated,

don't have a great deal of conviction behind them however.. she knows Derek

would have been here if he could.

>Katsuo begins to walk quickly down the street, hoping to pass by Alhana and

>Lyrae without any trouble. His facial tattoos glint.

>Lyrae blinks. o O ( Her? Oh..wait. ) .. blinks o O ( Tactics? What tactics? )

>Lyrae side glances towards Katsuo as he passes.

>A passing car suddenly spins out of control, slamming into a telephone pole

nearby.

>Garr closes his eyes. He says, in a plain, but booming voice, "She may still be

nearby... now is not the time to bicker."

>Garr doesn't seem to care about the locals. He has his divine mission.

>Thankfully, the passangers inside are unharmned.

>Alhana spares a minimal glance for Katsuo as he passes; her eyes are locked

upon Derek right now.

>Lyrae looks towards the car that hit the telephone pole o O ( Talk about your

reckless drivers.. )

>Derek arches an eyebrow, "Say whaaaaat?!?" His expression goes from clueless to

upset as he makes a fist, "Listen, Alhana, I wasn't arguing with Cloud about

his %@# insane idea! I was telling him it was stupid to do anything that would

upset Lyrae any more! You got a problem with that? I WOULD have been here..."

-_-

>Lyrae . o O ( -.- Does he even realize I'm standing right here? )

>Katsuo continues to speedwalk, sweating as he nears the group. As he nears

them, his facial tattoos glint again.

>Garr grits his teeth. These people are obviously not going to help.

>Lyrae glances at Katsuoo again o O ( ..? Weird tattoo's... )

>A passing pedestrian suddenly slips in a puddle of water, losing his balance

and flinging his suitcase into the air.

>Alhana jumps back from the near hit, her eyes wide. Shaking her head with a

sigh, she turns back to Derek. The words bitter even as she speaks them she

replies, "Yeah, I know you would have..." grumbling, she adds grudgingly,

"Sorry. Cloud shouldn't be doing this though... it's just... pretty damned

stupid."

>Derek asks, "Now, if Esmerelda's nearby, why don't we go take care of her, then

we'd have one less thing to worry about!?"

"Doing /WHAT/?" -.-

>Garr opens an eye to look at Derek. Someone with sense . o O ( Hopefully

this can be resolved before Ryu becoes aware of my absence... )

>Katsuo finally passes the danger zone, letting out a sigh of relief as he

begins to move farther from the opposite sex. *glint*

>Alhana's eyes flicker towards Katsuo suspiciously a moment. o O ( Why is he so

uncomfortable... a spy for Esmerelda maybe.. dunno... )

>The suitcase falls, breaking a parked car's windshield.

>Lyrae looks at Derek, then Alhana, narrowing her green eyes suspiciously.

>Alhana mutters under her breath, just audibly. "I didn't even *see* her...."

followed by several quietly spoken obscenities best left unheard.

>Garr says, "Fan out. NOW. If you see her, tell me immediately."

>Derek sighs and calms down, "Alhana, I couldn't agree more. I wanted to find

out what got them thinking this way." He looks past her and smiles, "Lyrae..

Sorry I wasn't here." he rubs the back of his head.. 6_6;

>Katsuo finally begins to relax, growing calmer and calmer with each mark of

distance he puts between himself and the others. He briskly shakes his head,

clearing his bangs from his vision, then goes along his way.

>Katsuo walks south.

>Katsuo has left.

>Lyrae's expression darkens. "Fine. I'll ask him *myself*."

>Lyrae walks east.

>Lyrae has left.

>Alhana spins towards Garr, raising her voice even before she looks at who's

spoken clearly. "Just WHO do you think you are anyway, marc..." her voice

breaks off as she takes Garr's sheer size and presense into account, boggling

momentarily before she nods with a snap of her jaw.

>Derek says, "Lyrae? Oy, hold on! o_o"

>Derek walks east.

>Derek has left.

>Derek arrives from the east.

>Derek has arrived.

>Garr looks down at Alhana. "I am Guardian Garr."

>Katsuo walks in from the south.

>Katsuo has arrived.

>Katsuo quickly walks back in, muttering about dead ends. x.x

>Katsuo . o O ( ... Katsuo, you have GOT to learn the city streets... )

>Alhana blinks once more, a little uncomfortable at first but, after a moment of

contemplation she nods firmly to him. She offers her hand, "...Alhana

Starbreeze." she speaks quietly. o O ( He's got the stance of a hell of a

fighter... )

>Derek runs back, "She went to the church, so she'll be safe.." He stops next to

Alhana and catches his breath, just now looking up at Garr, "Hey, you came in

the bar a few nights ago, right?" Strangely, he breaks out in a smile..

>Garr reaches down with his hand... hell, one of his fingers is as big as your

hand... "I am afraid now is not the time to make acquan... Yes, I was in the

bar."

>Alhana glances back at Derek with a nod of acknowledgement, following his

words. "Good.. from what Strife described, that's the one place she can't

follow.. Esmerelda that is.. right?"

>Derek says, "Garr, right? Name's Derek."

>Katsuo takes one look at Alhana, then vouches for an easier way pass this time.

He takes a side trip towards the shadows casted by a building, then steps

through, slowly.

>Garr nods . o O ( She has probably escaped by now... )

>Katsuo slowly exits from a shadow atop a building. Sadly, it was a shadow cast

by a flag pole...

>Katsuo meets the pavement about 2.5 seconds later. Oh well, at least he's on

target. ;) About 25 feet beyond Alhana now.

>Alhana's eyes flicker once again towards Katsuo, twitching briefly before she

nods firmly to Derek and Garr. She hesitates, -clearly- not liking to ask what

she has to ask, nevertheless.. "What.. *DOES* Esmerelda look like?"

>Katsuo picks himself off the floor, then gathers what dignity he has left and

heads north.

>Katsuo walks north.

>Katsuo has left.

>Garr says, in a deep voice, "In her current form, she is a young lady, well

proportioned, with a tatoo of a snake along her arm..."

>Derek says, "Come with me, Alhana, I know what she looks like.."

>Alhana nods curtly to Garr, "Alright.." with a tinge of uncertainty. Glancing

at Derek, she nods once again, this time gratefully. "Good idea. Let's move.."

>Derek asks, "'sides, I think Garr here can manage by himself for a bit, eh?"

>Derek offers to lead Alhana.

>Garr says, in a deep voice, "If you see her, inform me immediately."

Derek asks, "(OOC) Which way you wanna go, Garr?"

>Alhana eyes Garr critically at Derek's comment with a nod, "I'd venture to say

so.. yeah.."

>Alhana falls in line behind Derek.

>Derek walks north.

>Derek leaves, with Alhana following behind him.

>Alhana pages, "You hear a yell from up the street as well as one hell of a

crash followed by an explosion, "GARR! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE, NOW!"" to you.

>n

You walk north.

Sif Way [200]

Sif Way is the hovel of those 'fad' businesses, as well as more high-tech ones.

You can also find low-cost housing here..if you can put up with the noise of

having people drive in and out of the stores and shops next door constantly.

To be found along either side of the road are a garish mixture of weight loss

registries, lawyer's offices, video game arcades, video rental stores, beer and

liquor stores (Licensed ones..for bootlegging, you'd have to go to West Thor

Boulevard), computer and electronic shops, comic book stores. All that, and

much much more. Some of the shops also have an extra floor upstairs, with an

apartment or two for rent at a low cost as an extra way to make some money in

the off seasons.

>Katsuo looks around again after lowering his arm, then quickly leaves.

>Katsuo walks south.

>Katsuo has left.

>Derek narrows his eyes at Esmerelda, then they widen as he looks at Alhana o_o

>Es-chan hears that. Curses . o O (Not AGAIN.) She holds Minako as she looks

over to Al'hazad and Eria, "Ooh..Hazad deary.. you never showed me your place

yet.." ^_^: "NOW would be a dandy time.." o.o

>Garr charges in from the south. He scans the area with his ruby eyes... locking

upon the threats. He spins his spear in his right hand.

>Alhazad offers to lead Esmerelda.

>Garr exclaims, "Cowardly BEAST, you shall not flee again!"

>Esmerelda falls in line behind Alhazad.

>Garr charges, spear forward.

>Al'Hazad observes his favorite part of valor, the part where you run like hell.

>A globe of brilliant whiteness engulfs Alhazad and then slowly shrinks away

into nothing, collapsing in on itself and taking him with it.

>Alhazad leaves, with Eria and Esmerelda following behind him.

>Alhana draws a plain, ordinary dagger from her belt. "Bitch.." she mutters,

beneath her breath even as she throws it forward with considerable force,

directly at Esmerlda... and missing.

>Garr skids to a halt. "..."

>Derek blinks and sprints towards Es, drawing his sword on the run...but he's

too late. He skids to a stop and growls, "Dammit!!!"

>Garr . o O ( But she fears me... so all is not lost... )

>Minako got tugged by Es as she went (turn away from the screen for ONE

moment... @_@ )

>Minako teleports out of the room.

>Minako has left.

>Garr clasps his hands together. "She shall not flee forever."

>Derek slashes at the ground, making a nice gash in the concrete, "Damn right.

I'm gonna kill that witch one of these days.." -_-

>Derek returns his weapon to its scabbard, looking cross as all get out..

>Garr closes his eyes. "Tell me what she has done... so i can tell her her

crimes as she dies."

>Derek says, "That'd take a long time, Garr.."

>Garr rumbles deep in his throat. "Understood."

>Alhana sighs, stepping over to retrieve her dagger with a frown. Looking

about, she shakes her head. "She's good at running, I'll grant her that..."

>Derek smirks and pushes his hair away from his eyes, "Anyway, if you need a

hand, I'd be more than happy to lend one. Two actually..and my sword."

>Garr nods slowly to Derek. "If she ever dares face a fair fight."

>Alhana nods firmly, turning to Garr and Derek. "Me too." she adds, in a tone

that brooks no argument.

>Garr turns, to walk away. "I doubt she will return tonight, not with the

opposition leveled against her."

>Alhana stretches, looking about once more forlornly with a sigh. "I'm heading

back to the Church..."

>Derek nods, "I think I'll go for a walk myself.. Meet you back there, Alhana?"

>Alhana nods to Derek, her face set in stone. Turning to Garr she adds, "...Do

you have a place to stay, Guardian?"

>Garr says, in a deep voice, "I have a place... yes.."

>Alhana nods to him, kicking a rock aside as she turns. Taking several steps

away, she speaks over her shoulder quietly, "Hope to fight alongside you

sometime, Guardian Garr." . o O ( It'd be interesting to say the least. )

>Garr nods slowly yo Alhana, and walks off.

>s

You walk south.

** Yet another walk cut **

City Square: Fountain

Nearer to the fountain still, the sound of the softly cascading water overcomes

most any other noise besides the people sitting and chatting. There is a

wrought iron barricade about the actual fountain, though it seems to be more

placed to deter than to prevent climbing in, as anyone of moderate hieght could

easily scale it. The statue of Odin atop the large fountain dwarfs most

everything else in the area..as well the seven trees planted in a circle about

the fountain.

There are benches here as well, though of a marble variety rather than the

wooden ones found farther out in the city square. There also seems to be less

foot traffic here, apparently because of the lack of commerce. All in all, a

serene place to enjoy the evening and perhaps meet with friends for a night on

the town.

[Sleepers: Nuku-Nuku ]

[Things : None ]

>Himemiya Anshi . o O ( The future of the rose.... oniisama...? )

>Garr wanders in, taking a seat on the bench and setting his spear aside.

>Himemiya Anshi turns and glances over her shoulder slowly at the man with the

spear, her dark skin gleaming faintly in the light, green eyes curiously

surveying but disinterested at the same time; she only glances for a moment.

>17's image resolves itself in a standing position atop the lip of the fountain.

He arrives just in time to observe the flower's futile struggle, finding some

perverse beauty in its lost cause. His features slip into a comfortable

blankness as he ponders the spectacle. It doesn't even occur to him to express

gratitude to Anshi for providing something so fascinating for him to watch.

>Garr closes his eyes and inhales slowly. "..."

>Himemiya Anshi . o O ( I must not... must not.... )

>Utena walks in from the city square.

>Utena has arrived.

>Garr sits on one of the benches, eyes closed.

>Utena appears from the south, hands resting in her jacket pockets, long, pastel

pink hair trailing behind her as she walks.

>Himemiya Anshi smiles brightly, gently at Utena, her expressive face shifting

again.. to a demure, submitting little smile. "Ohayou, Utena-sama.." she calls,

waving a hand cheerily.

>17 blinks his way back to the here and now, and turns his head to study both

the recent arrivals. He stands upon the lip of the fountain's basin, one foot

in front of the other, effortlessly balanced there.

>Utena smiles, waving a hand in return to Anshi, approaching the girl. The

soft, white petals of the rose wish rests on her lapel flutter with the

movement.

>"Did you sleep well, Utena-sama?" asks the dusky-skinned girl gently.

>Utena nods, grinning. "Hai. Except.. Chu-chan woke me up in the middle of the

night. He was choking on something."

>Himemiya Anshi oh my's softly and her wide green eyes open. "Is he all right?

The poor thing.."

>Garr sits utterly quietly, hands clasped in front of him, as if in prayer.

>Utena nods quickly, seating herself next to the violet-haired girl, crossing

her legs, leaning back as she relaxes. "Hai. I gave him some tea to wash it

down. Does he always try to eat things far too big to swallow?"

>Garr . o O ( Esmerelda will likely destroy the one known as Gunter now... I

have played my hand too early... )

>17 listens unobtrusively to the conversation, otherwise serving as much as

ornamentation as the fountain and its statue.

>Himemiya Anshi hms softly. "I can't say for sure, Utena-sama.." she stalls

gently, before moving to the girl's side and sitting next to her; her hands

smooth out her heavily ruffled sea-blue skirt and school tie, then, she turns

gently and brushes her hand along Utena's arm, removing a small piece of fluff

clinging to her black jacket. "I should not have left him alone..." she

murmurs, "I apologize for him bothering you like that, Utena-sama."

>Utena blinks, eyelids momentarily covering wide, oceanic eyes, as she turns to

gaze at her companion. "Iie. He hasn't been bothering me. I think he's

wonderful company. He just does some foolish things, occasionally, that's

all." she smiles, raising her arms to rest along the top of the bench. The

hand on one of those arms droops, slightly, fingers just barely brushing

against the edge of the large shoulder piece of the school uniform Anshi wears.

>Himemiya Anshi closes her eyes briefly; you wouldn't think that through that

heavy puffed shoulder piece of white linen she could feel anything, but that

tiny brush of Utena's fingers... she takes in a breath in a sharp inhale. . o O

( I must not. ) "I will speak to him, Utena-sama, and ask him not to be so

troublesome next time," she says after a moment, with perfect poise as if her

heart wasn't on fire. As if she didn't hear a word you really said..

>Utena can't help but chuckle softly, lowering her head as her eyes close for a

moment. "Himemiya, you're far too proper sometimes. You've got to relax.

Don't worry about everything being.. 'just-so', y'know?" she says, tilting her

head to smile at the girl

>"That wouldn't be proper, Utena-sama." replies the girl with a stultifyingly

sweet little smile.

>"But that's the point!" she says, her voice showing the faintest hint of

frustration. "It's very good to be proper, but not -all- the time. Just.. take

some time to relax.. and be totally improper for a while."

>Himemiya Anshi bows her head. "As you say, Utena-sama." Anshi smiles again, her

attention turning to her lap, maddeningly non-expressive and demuring.

Utena shakes her head, a soft grin curling to life on her lips. o O ( Who -is-

this girl? ) she asks herself quietly, beforing raising back up, giving Anshi a

soft, gentle squeeze on her shoulder with the arm that so recently rested

nearby.

>Himemiya Anshi offers a smile in response to her companion's gentle squeeze.

Her eyes.. for just a moment, they flicker with a kind of pain, the pain of

things unsaid, things wanted to be said, but instead, just that brainless

smile. "What do you wish to do today, Utena-sama?" she asks softly; normally

she does not start conversations, but this is proper enough to ask her lady's

whim of the day.

>Utena's face contorts, slightly, in thought, before she speaks. "I'm not really

sure, Himemiya. Why don't you decide."

>Himemiya Anshi giggles softly.. . o O ( Oh, Utena-sama, you try... ) "I can't

do that, Utena-sama. Whatever you wish would be fine." Then she stands, and

moves toward a corner newspaper box, slipping a coin into it to get a paper out.

Utena watches Anshi closely, speaking as the girl purchases the newspaper.

"Honestly, Himemiya, I have no idea what I want. You choose what we do."

Himemiya Anshi walks back to the side of her companion, with the paper held

open; her eyes scan as she reads, but does not answer Utena's comment. Instead

she hides behind the wall of grey newsprint. . o O ( I can not, Utena-sama..

please understand. )

>17 decides to lend what assistance he can, possibly out of boredom. "Maybe you

two could go shopping?" He shrugs, and then -blips- back up to his seat on the

statue's head.

>Privately, Anshi would like new clothes, to be out of the Ootori uniform, the

reminder... but .. if her brother is now here.. as he must be... does she dare,

even with Utena's protection?

>17 can't be blamed for trying, can he? n.n;

>Garr doesn't respond, doesn't move, just simply sits in utter silence.

>Utena blinks, turning to smile gratefully at 17, before gazing back at Anshi.

"Shoppinh sounds fun.. a few new outfits, perhaps?"

>Himemiya Anshi's hands hesitate for a moment as she grips the paper.. then

slowly she folds the large sheets with prim and precise motions, folding it in

two in her lap. "As you wish, Utena-sama." is her only reply, honey-sweet.

>17 catches the smile on his way up, and finds it curious. He settles into his

perch with a thoughtful expression, measuring this new thing in his mind.

Gratitude? There's another novelty. Today has been anything but dull.

>Utena smiles.. "Then, shall we go?"

>Himemiya Anshi smiles... standing up immediately, and her eyes flicker over the

place where Seventeen's voice came from... grateful? relieved? Who can tell?

"Hai!" she n.n's happily, and for once, truthfully.

>17 seems to be meditating upon this, his brow furrowed as he settles his chin

into the valley of his hands, both elbows propped on his legs as he sits

forward.

>Anshi falls in line behind Utena.

>Utena walks back to the city square.

>Utena leaves, with Anshi following behind her.

>Garr speaks, for the first time since he entered. "... Most interesting."

>Akio walks in from the city square.

>Akio has arrived.

>Akio strides in, hand along his hip, a slight frown of tilted lavender brows as

his powerful, wiry frame approaches the fountain.

>17 shrugs, responding to Garr's breach of silence, commemorating its

significance. "I guess so." It's not much, but it's as best as can be expected.

>Garr sits upon one of the benches, hands clasped before him, and eyes closed

>Aya walks in from the city square.

>Aya has arrived.

>Garr sits upon one of the benches, hands clasped before him, and eyes closed

>Akio practically STALKS up to the rim of the fountain, forest-green eyes

sweeping the water; his hand punches through the surface and he retracts the

soaked white rose, its petals sadly limp and lifeless... whereupon his eyes

blister with jealousy. . o O ( So. You ARE still here, Anshi. )

>Aya Brea walks in, hands jammed in her pockets.

>17 immediately sets his gaze on Akio, who is distrubing 'his' fountain...and

bringing to ruin an artistic statement of the type that appeal to him. He liked

the flower where it was.

>Akio gazes into the soaked rose, strokes his fingers along it briefly, eyes

closing, thin lips slightly parting, as if pulling forth some secret

knowledge.. then, he sneers slightly, and flings the poor flower carelessly,

angrily, back into the fountain where it once more sinks to the bottom. Then

his eyes shift upward.. the same eyes as Anshi... gazing upon who gazes upon

him with unblinking, unbroken staring.

>Aya Brea glances over at the founain and the people surrounding it... mentally

assessing if this situation is anything illegal.

>17 settles forward, leaning down a fraction to frown at the man beneath him.

"Have you got some kind of problem?" He's an odd one, getting his nose out of

joint over something so trivial, but that's Juunanagou. Takes his fights where

he can get them..even if it's just a battle of nasty looks.

>Garr doesn't LOOK legal. But he doesn't look immediately threatening as well.

>Akio merely replies, in a silken baritone, "My sister was here. Now she is not.

Where did she go?" Those unblinking eyes barrel forth, attempting to dominate

by a look, control by sheer force of will.

>Garr opens his eyes, slowly, replying in his deep, rumbling voice, "She left."

>17 serves as the immovable object the unstoppable force of Akio's gaze collides

against. He snickers softly, and shrugs toward Garr. "What he said."

>Akio's sculpted face does not remit in its cold, locked stare; his strong nose

sniffs slightly, a nobleman's disgusted display at the peasants.. but something

else as well. A scent, a thread of rose in the air... he can almost envisualize

her path and taste it... . o O ( She's found someone. )

>Aya Brea walks over quietly to the group. "Is there some problem?"

>17 continues to match nasty for nasty as he locks mental horns and physical

gazes with the purple-haired man. He doesn't break from this as Aya addresses

them all, even though his curiosity all but demands that he look away.

>Garr says, in a slow tone, "Not yet... and I believe it will remain that way."

>Akio turns, impressive height and smooth green eyes now addressing the young

woman with.. instant transformation. Now you can see where his sister gets it..

the kinship and secrecy in their mutual bloodline. He smiles faintly, the smile

of someone deeply distressed but trying not to look it, and replies, "Merely

attempting to find my sister, who ran away from me." he replies in a cool,

silken tone.

>Aya Brea looks at Akio, trying not to be striken by his sheer power of presence

(hey, she DOES have hormones, you know). "Uh..." She regains her composure.

"And why would she have run away?"

>17 wins, in his own mind. Therefore he can look away now. He looks down at Aya

and shrugs, attempting to look as innocent and unassuming as he can, perched on

top of a city landmark like it was his own personal lounge chair. Which it is.

Just ask him, he'll tell you.

>"She is deeply disturbed." the man replies smoothly. "Socially maladjusted. She

requires medication, but did not take it with her when she ran away." Green

eyes bearing down on Aya, his 'presence' as you say adding an additional layer

of coercion and genuineness to his statement. "I fear she may harm someone."

>Garr opens his eyes now, his piercing ruby gaze falling upon Akio. He slowly

closes his eyelids after, but it was an odd gesture...

>Aya Brea stammers slightly as she replies, her usual tough veneer wearing down

slightly under the force of Akio's emerald gaze. "H-have you reported her

disappearance to the authorities?"

>Akio shakes his head, lavender hair shifting about a slender and beautifully

sculpted face, voice dropping perhaps half an octave in pitch to a deep and

richer tone that plays and beckons. "I was hoping..." a pause of breath.. "to

keep this a private matter.. I did not wish to embarrass her needlessly..

simply bring her home. I would hate to involve the cold force of authority..."

>(OOC) @set Akio=SEX_APPEAL

>Akio OOC Sex_Appeal?:HELL YES

>Aya Brea blushes slightly under the intensity of those piercing emerald eyes.

"P-perhaps a private detective would be in order, then."

>Aya Brea . o O ( Damn, he must be a model or something. )

>Garr . o O ( Most intriguing... )

>Akio takes a step closer to the shorter girl, just the single step, but it

seems to amplify the effect of his subtle attack upon Aya by huge increments; a

pulse of heat that almost shimmers in the air, tangible chemistry. "Do you have

a suggestion, miss..?"

>Aya Brea shakes her head, taking a step back. "I d-don't know any P.I.'s in

this area..."

>Akio takes a step forward, and it should be threatening as hell.. but it's ..

kind of hard to think clearly, isn't it? The air a little too warm...? A nearly

hypnotic smile that flickers across the man's lips...

>Aya Brea feels her ears getting red, and falls back on procedure.  "S-sorry;

detectives can't take for-profit assignments outside the precinct. Against

department regulations..."

>"Regulations?" is all the man replies, curiously... "But I did not speak of

profit or payment, did I?"

>Aya Brea just turns redder. . o ( Damn, it's hard to think with him looking at

me like that. ) *pause, gaze over Akio* . o ( He IS well-built, though. )

>Akio seems to ponder, long hand bearing delicate fingers coming up to caress

his chin. "Perhaps I should involve a higher authority however...." he murmurs.

"Would you care to lead me to your office? I believe I'm willing to .. file a

report with you." He follows this statement with a predatory smile..

>17 mentally files Akio away under 'rat bastard'. Other than that, he watches

quietly from atop the Odin statue (probably violating some city ordnance or

another).

>Aya Brea stammers slightly. "I... I'm still on duty, I have to stay out on the

streets for a little while yet." She blushes. "B-but I'm sure you could find

your way to the precinct."

>Akio says, "I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the landscape yet.. I only arrived

in town this afternoon. I would .. truly *appreciate* your aid in this.

Otherwise... I fear what Anshi may do... I believe she may be hiding with

someone else, an innocent in this.. it's only a matter of time." He gazes at

Seventeen briefly as if daring him to dispute that statement. "Please, if you

can show me the way..."

>17 doesn't voice any argument, and even curtails his urge to flash an obscene

gesture.

>Garr opens his eyes once again, proving he is not just some bizarre statuary.

He speaks, in rumbling tones, "This... Anshi seemed quite capable and stable

before, sir."

>Akio nods immediately, though still holding Aya in his thrall. "She will be

fine for perhaps another day or two until the medication in her system wears

down. After that point.. I would not wish to be near her."

>Garr closes his eyes once again. (You're on your own, Aya)

>Aya Brea turns and looks at Garr. It's a measure of how saturated her brain is

with Akio's raw sexual magnetism that she doesn't even really think twice about

the oddity of something that might have passed for a bad acid trip talking.

It's also indicated by the fact that Akio's explanation seems almost rational

to her.

>Garr . o O ( Something very peculiar is happening here... )

>Aya Brea says, "I suppose I can show you the way to the precinct..."

>Akio's tone becomes almost pleading. It would be laughable, but you just can't

seem to think clearly through that tone.. irresistable and needing.. low and

almost whispered, "Please aid me." He nods then, bowing his head slightly,

strands of lavender coiling about his shoulder as the ponytail shifts.

>Aya Brea focuses on Akio's ponytail. Good thing she's fairly good at keeping

her composure, or she might be drooling. (OOC - If anyone comes up with an

antidote to Akio's pheremones, they could make a fortune on here! Then again,

if someone bottles Akio's pheremones as a cologne, I suppose they could make

even more...)

>17's spiteful urges can be curtailed no longer. He casts about for a pebble

and, not finding one where he is, acquires on elsewhere in the time it takes to

blink. Rather than return to his perch, he plays 'lone gunman' and fires his

projectile in a weak spiral toward the back of Akio's head, mostly to vent

those 'do something nasty' urges he gets all too often. He's back atop his

statue before his absence can be noted. Not that he's being observed so much

anyway, what with Captain Romance bombarding the poor gendarme with H-rays.

>Akio does not seem to flinch or turn around, but you get the sense, 17, that he

did NOT mistake the gesture or its intent. And that he won't soon forget it,

either.

>Garr opens an eye, keeping it open this time. Things start to get even more

interesting...

>17 just feels better because he got in his bad deed for the day. He seems much

more relaxed now.

>Aya Brea takes Akio off in the direction of the (currently nonexistant)

precinct.

>Akio walks alongside her with the loping grace of a jungle cat out for blood,

and knowing damn well he's going to GET some before too much longer.

>Garr slowly rises to his feet, watching the two meander off... uncertain of the

true intents of either party. He reaches down, recovering his spear, and

glances at 17 out of the corner of his eye before exiting.
