Snow Mountain Lodge
This is the Snow Mountain Lodge, the one place where to stay while enjoying the
winter pleasures of the mountain. This rustic building's walls are made of dark
wood planks with the odd red brick pillar mixed in. The lobby is two stories
high, warm and comfortable with a central fireplace surrounded by benches for
socializing. The proprietress, an elderly little lady, smiles as she walks around
the benches and offers cups of hot chocolate. The south wing houses the guest
chambers, another door indicates the access to the hot springs, or you can go to
the solarium to enjoy the weather without its rigors.

>Rei sits up, yawming. Where'd these people come from?
>Rin blinks as Rei wakes up.

You notice that Rin is standing nearby.
You look her over from top to bottom. Her hair is a fiery red color.
It hangs down over her eyes in the front. In the back, it flows like a
red river over her shoulders, stopping just past the middle of her
back. It looks a wild and unkempt, making her appearance a little more
savage and unrestrained.
She is dressed for bed, it seems. She only wears the top of a pair of
pajamas but it seems it is more than a little bit too big for her.
The long sleeves of the shirt reach down over her hands. She is
continually having to push them back to her wrists.
The shirt reaches down to her knees at the bottom, seeming almost like
a dress. The whole thing is purple with a pattern of cat paws, as if a
cat had walked over it with white paint on it's feet.
Rin is carrying a long covered object with her.

>Rin tries to look inconspicuous.
>Rei did see you dressed like that, it seems. But he doesn't say anything
*'c.c'* . o O ( Don't that just beat all... )
>Ukyou-kun smirks at Kodachi, n.n "Y'know, going out with me... are you sure you
wouldn't mind all the rumors it'd entail?"
>Ukyou-kun n.- "I never thought you were _that_ type, Dachi-chan."
>Rei blinks. Maybe he should've saved that thought bubble a moment 'O.o';
>Death asks, "What ARE you talking about?"
>Ukyou-kun puts his hands behind his back, "Ohh, nothin'... Just think about it
before asking me out, hm?"
>Rin uses the distraction as an opportunity to move away from the fire where Rei
is, and around to stand somewhere that furniture is between her and him.
behind his HEAD even... idly, smirking.
>Rei sweatdrops . o O ( I am obviously missing something here... ) He goes
back to lying down.
>Death exclaims, "I did NOT ask you out! I merely tried to convince you that the
safest means to protecting our honor is to follow through with the dare!"
>Kodachi
You see a spooky-looking chick with a calculating, obsessive look
in her catlike midnight eyes. Her hair is held in a ponytail on the
side of her head, tied with a black ribbon. Her slender neck, delicate
hands, and flawless face are ghastly chalk-white, as presumably the
rest of her body must be. She wears elaborate eye make up, almost
looking Egyptian in the manner of triangular shaping about the eye. A
little spiral of the black eye make up comes down from one eye creating
a curly-cue on one cheek. Her lips are glossy black, and she's painted
her nails to match.
She wears a blue-black ski outfit made of tight fitting, thick lycra
spandex. It resembles a gymnastic unitard more than winter attire. Over
the black catsuit she wears a black duster, or trenchcoat, which is
open in front as if the cold doesn't even bother her. She wears black
Doc Martens boots on her feet and a silver bangle belt around her
curvaceous hips. Around her neck on a black cord, she wears a large
silver ankh pendant.
>Ukyou-kun O.o "Oy, Rin-chan, what the heck're you doing?"

Ukyou-kun is a moderately tall and thin student of Furinkan High it seems. His
brown hair is cut short in front of his head, looking a bit puffy but kept in
place in back as it is tied in a long ponytail. His eyes are wide, blue-grey and
quite expressive, when he speaks, it is with a notable Kyoto accent. Although his
voice isn't really deep it is excusable, he's just a boy ne? The uniform is
comprised of a dull blue vest and matching pants, but atop it he wears a yellow
bandolier that holds several spatulas and that allows him to strap a much larger
spatula in his back.

>Rin nearly jumps as she's caught trying to hide. "Me? What do you mean?"
>Rei isn't looking, he is NOT paying attention, it's not worth the effort...
>Ukyou-kun o.o "Why the heck are you still in that getup?"
>Rin says, "Because Belldandyhan and ... that baka, were having aprivate
conversation and I did not get to take my clothes back before I had to leave."
>Rei quips, "You mean Burn, eh?"
>Rin nods to Rei.
>Rei wonders how he guessed 'u.u' Rei scratches the bridge of his nose, going
back to being discreet (as discreet as a 6' tiger-man can be, at least)
>Ukyou-kun shakes his head, n.n "Oh well, come with me, I'll loan you something
too large."
>Rin smiles. "I already have something that's too big for me. It's ok, this is
very warm."
>Death says, "What's the big deal? Everything important is covered.." 9.9
>Ukyou-kun o.- at Kodachi, then turns to Rin, "Let's go get you dressed." with a
knowing nod. -.-
>Rin nods to Ukyou.
>Ukyou has left.
>Ojiisan falls asleep.
>Rei raises a hand. "Hey, um, Rin? Why're you dressed like that?" '^^'; He
knows why, of course, but he doesn't want to incriminate himself.
>Rin blinks at Rei. "I was at a slumber party... but I didn't get to dress back
in my normal clothes."
>Rei scratches the side of his head. "Oh?"
>Kodachi goes towards the south wing.
>Rin doesn't really seem very shy about her appearance once she's not thinking
about it fully. "You knew about Ukyouhan's party, right?"
>Rei hmms. "Oh yeah. How'd it go?" '^^'; He missed the end of it 'o.-';
>Rin exclaims, "It was nice. Except that people kept walking into the middle of
it!"
>Rin . o O ( Like that baka, burn! )
>Rei sweatdrops. "LIke who? Burn?"
>Rin nods. "Hai! Like him! and then some crazy ghost!"
>Rei blinks. He knew he was right about Burn - for reasons that should be obvious
- bu that latter part gets him. "Ghost?"
>Rin says, "Hai, I don't know who he was... it was very strange, but also very
annoying."
>Rei scratches his head. "Ghosts usually are."
>Rin asks, "Hmf! Are guys so eager to peep at people that they come back from the
dead to do it?"
>Rei sweatdrops, and shrugs. "Apparently."
>Rin moves closer to the fire again, since the shirt leaves her legs uncovered
which is cold, still. "What did you do while we were having the party? Were you
just sitting out here all alone?"
>Rei blinks. "Um..." He rubs the back of his neck. "Er, yeah, I was just sitting
here, all alone..." 'c.c';
>Rin nods, "At least it's warm..."
>Rei smiles, weakly. "Yeah..."
>Rin sits down near the fire. "Why didn't you stop Burn and that ghost from going
in to the party?"
>Rei blinks. "Eh? Have you seen that burn guy? He just pops around, in and out,
throwing flame... he's like rude 'n evil!" Okay, he's exaggerating, but he's
still miffed at him.
>Rin (OOC) says, "You are not exaggerating very much. That is exactly the type of
things that he does."
>Rin nods! "He is! He is some sort of d..." She stops herself...
>Rei peers at Rin. "Demon?" How'd he guess what you were going to say? "In his
case, I'd believe it."
>Rin shakes her head, trying to deny that she was going to say that, since she
made a new years resolution. "He's a ... dummy! Did you know he's rich now too?
He went inside the mountain here and found diamonds."
>Rei blinks. "Rich?" ';.;' It would appear that Rei may not be able to keep
his own resolution 'u.u';
>Rin wouldn't mind, in the case of Burn, if you didn't. She nods. "I saw his
house, it's very big." She shrugs. "He offered me a big diamond. Baka!"
>Rei blinks. "You didn't accept?"
>Rin says, "No! I don't want anything from him! I don't want him to think I owe
him anything. I let him give it to another girl who needed it more."
>Rei oh's, rubbing the back of his neck. "You... have a point." He's lived enough
of his life in poverty to not refuse free money, though.
>Rei lies down in front of the fire with a sigh. "..."
>Rin hates Burn enough to refuse just about anything from him. "Maybe if you ask
him nicely he'll give you one."
>Rei scratches his head. Not likely, after last night. In an attempt to change
the subject, he comments, "I kinda like it here..."
>Rin blinks. "You mean at the ski lodge?"
>Rei nods.
>Rin pulls her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and resting
her head on her knees as she looks into the fire. "I like the mountains, but I am
also starting to like Edo."
>Rei says, with a weak smile, "Kind of... reminds me of my old place, here..." He
frowns after saying that, not liking the other memories associated with that...
>Rin asks, "You're from a place like this?"
>Rei shakes his head. "No... I.. meant this cabin was kind of like my old
house..." He shakes his head, deciding it would have been better not to comment.
>Rin looks around at the cabin and nods. "This is sort of like my teacher's
place. But it's a lot nicer, since I she isn't here."
>Rei nods again, but doesn't say anything further.
>Rin pokepokes you with the tip of her sword (it's wrapped up, still). "Are you
ok?"
>Rei hmms? "Oh... uh... fine, yeah."
>Rin nods quietly, turning back to look into the fire... but she glances at you
out of the corner of her eye.
>Rei doesn't look fine, if that's what you're glancing for. Almost depressed...
and he's usually so cheerful.
>Rin doesn't know what to say to cheer up a tiger-demon. She turns on you
suddenly. "Are you SURE you didn't try to peek at us during the party!"
>Rei sweatdrops. "I'm sure I didn't try!" 'Cause he did.
>Rin narrows her eyes at you. "Belldandyhan's crazy pet said that there was a
tiger on the roof..." She points at your tigerness.
>Rei sweatdrops again. "I'm not a tiger, am I?"
>Rin hmmmms. She doesn't want to call you a tiger demon since it's her vow not
to. "Not 100%..."
>Rei mmm-hmms. "I'm a person, not a tiger."
>Rei comes from a world where animal-men are considered normal, though.
>Rin makes a grab for your tail. "What's this, then! A tiger tail."
>Rei ows as his tail gets grabbed. "Watch it with that!"
>Rei hmmphs. "Why would I want to watch a slumber party anyway?"
>Rin eeps and lets go quickly. "Gomen! Did it hurt?"
>Rin exclaims, "For the same reason as the ghost and ... the other guy. Because
you're a man!"
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. "That's a good reason." Said sarcastically.
>Rin says to herself. "It's a good thing none of them saw some of the things ..."
>Rei asks the baited question, "Like what?"
>Rin says, "Because of the truth or dare game, some people had to do things like
switch clothes with each other..."
>Rei blinks. "Ah, I see... amything else?" Potential blackmail material!
>Rin shakes her head. "Nothing that you'd be interested in. Just various girl
type things. Not everyone took a dare, so not everyone had to do strange
things."
>Rei nods. Guess he won't be getting good dirt, then.
>Rin nods too and is quiet. She looks a bit disappointed.
>Rei scratches the bridge of his nose. Eventually, he asks, slowly, "Have you
ever lost someone...?"
>Rin asks, "Lost someone? ... how do you mean?"
>Rei exhales. "A friend... family?"

Probably the first thing you notice about this young man is that he's a
tiger. Well, not exactly... though the resemblance is certainly close. The
striped pelt and tail are certainly the most telling feature, but there's also
the way he carries himself... if you watch closely, you see that every movement
is economical and deliberate. If you don't mind your men furry, he's actually
rather attractive; tall, lean, graceful, and with fine features. His unkempt mane
of yellow-ish hair (the same shade as his pelt) is tied into a pony-tail at the
base of his neck, while his large bangs are kept out of his face by a broad white
bandana.
Rei's currently dressed in his usual outfit. The main piece is a red
vest, the edges lined with gold-colored trim. It's left open in the front, not to
show Rei's figure off as much as to give him good freedom of movement. Metal
plates have been affixed to the shoulders of the vest; combined with the large
metallic armbands he wears on his forearms, this provides a modicum of armor
protection. His crimson slacks are held up at the waist by a broad leather belt,
with a good-sized sheath on either side. On his feet he wears custom boots, the
toes removed to show his large clawed toes.
Because this alone isn't suitable dress in the cold weather, Rei's taken
it upon himself to wear a large beige trenchcoat. It's probably very effective in
keeping the cold away, but whether Rei actually paid for it or not is up to
debate.

>Rin shakes her head. "If you mean, they died? No... but my parents gave me to an
old lady when I was young... and I can't find my brother who went to Edo
somewhere..."
>Rei nods, a little. "Gave you away? Why...?" Not that he can't sympathise, but
that sounds awfully harsh.
>Rin says, "They didn't have any money, I guess? And she was a teacher..." She
mumbles. "More like a de..."
>Rei will play 'fill in the blanks' in his own head. "Oh..."
>Rin says, "I was only 5 when they gave me to her... I don't remember everything
very well. When I finally ran away ... I came to Edo to find my brother, but no
one had seen him..."
>Rei scratches the bridge of his nose. "Oh... well, I'll look for him. Can't
guarantee anything, but..."
>Rin says, "He's tall, and has black hair that sticks straight up. He's really
strong and good at kempo."
>Rei hmms, and shakes his head. "Can't say I have... but I'll keep my eyes open."
>Rin smiles and shifts her position so she's mostly kneeling and can bow. "Thank
you."
>Rei nods. "It's the... least I can do..." He spent years thinking his 'brothers'
were murdered... he can see why you're worried.
>Burn arrives from the south wing.
>Rin unexpectedly hugs Rei. "Arigatou!"
>Rei blinks as he gets hugged. "...? Don't mention it."
>Rin lets go suddenly as she gets the feeling she's being watched. She turns
around to see who is at the door to the rest of the lodge since she hears it
close behind them.
>Burn just walks in from the corridor looking a bit down.
>Rei doesn't notice. He's still a -little- peeved, but he gets over it fast.
He'll just take your wallet some afternoon.
>Rin (OOC) exclaims, "You are going to take my wallet because I hugged you. o.o
That is very ungrateful!"
>Burn (OOC) And I'll burn him for it ^_^
>Rei (OOC) meant Burn's n.n;
>Burn (OOC) doesn't carry one you moron.
>Burn (OOC) I said that the last time you tried =P
>Rei (OOC) Then how do you pay for stuff?

>Rin (OOC) says, "Do not tell Rei, but I only hugged him so I can take HIS
wallet. n.n V"

would be doing it.

>Burn looks up a bit at Rin and nods slightly, "Yeah.."

>Burn says, "You could have gotten them whenever you wanted...."
>Rin says, "I did not want to disturb you and Belldandyhan."
>Rei doesn't think she's very fond of you, but he doesn't say anything. 'u.u'
