Ucchan's
"Welcome to Ucchan's."
This is Japan's best spot for Okonomiyaki, and you won't even have to cook it
yourself. This little restaurant is clean and decorated in modern style.
Dispersed on the walls are a series of vertical slips describing specials and
in the four corners there are wooden plaques with spirit wards. You can sit on
one of the stools surrounding the counter (which happens to double as the
grill, watch out, it's hot...) or at one of the narrow tables arranged on the
right-hand wall. It's a place where students often hang out, so the atmosphere
is usually friendly and very informal.

>Gally-chan walks in quietly through the front and spots Rei, "Oh hello.. may I
help you?"
>Rei sits, half asleep, at a table. He suddenly sits up as Gally speaks up,
asking, "Um... just some tea, and a boof and chiken 'yaki?"
>Gally-chan says, "Coming right up sir ^_^"
>Gally-chan saunters over behind the counter and takes out the ingredients.
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. "Seen Miss Ukyou around?"
>Gally-chan speaks as she pours the batter on the grill, "Not since last night.
You looking for her?"
>Rei blushes (just a moment!), then replies, "Just wondering."
>Gally-chan glances up.. and pauses her cooking to smile, "Oh.. well yes, she
was in last night. Looking especially nice. She's changed her fashion style..
or have you seen her?" She flips the oko.
>Rei nods 'o.o' "She's usually very... um... subdued, except now..."
>Gally-chan says, "Now she's a full blast girl.. maybe even could call her a
woman. She's looking great."
>Gally-chan slips the oko onto your plate and hands you some tea, "Enjoy it ^_^"
>Rei blushes again, but nods in response *'o.o'*
>Rei smiles at Gally. "Thanks." '^^'
>Gally-chan says, "No problem n.n Call me if you need anything more."
>Rei nods to Gally, and gets to work on the consumption.
>Rei finishes off his meal. Resting his head on his hand, he looks around the
almost-empty room with a sigh.
>Gally-chan smiles.. "I'm sorry she isn't here.."
>Rei sits up, replying (with a sweatdrop), "Oh, uh, I know that..." '^^';
>Gally-chan says, "No no.. I mean I wish there was something I could do n.n;"
>Rei bows his head. "Hai, hai..."

Gally
A smiling young girl stands before you, her wild black hair set around her
small face with strands gracefully blowing across her scarlet eyes that often
shimmer purple in the light under thick black lashes. Her face is childlike at
times with a smile of satisfaction and play spread across her pale pink lips.
At the moment she wears a traditional okonomiyaki-ya outfit for her work at
Ucchan's. Beneath a coal black long-sleeved shirt a blue vest forms around her
chest, lined with white as it wraps around her torso, moving down to her hips
while a black portion holds around her waist like a belt. From this vest a pair
of form-fitting raven pants leads to knee-high black lace-up boots. Her
shoulder length midnight hair is pulled back from her face with an ivory
ribbon, flowing along her upper back.
She grins, a purely welcoming gesture to say the least, though she seems
foreign to this town..perhaps even this country. Something about her is
noticeably different.. almost intriguing. Her movements deliberate and flowing,
though it may be seen that her hands, from a distance, shimmer with an almost
silvery tone, that is if you catch them out of their black leather gloved
confinement. If she weren't wearing the restaurant's uniform, you'd expect her
to be a traveler.. but that doesn't waiver her cheerful disposition.

>Gally-chan begins to clean the grill.
>Rei seems really rather pathetic sitting here alone. Perhaps in an attempt to
start discussion he asks, "How did you get the job here, anyway?"
>Gally-chan mmns.. "Ukyou-san saved me ^_^; I needed money..and I was fired from
Nekohanten's over personal differences, I suppose."
>Rei blinks. "Personal differences?"
>Onyx walks in from outside.
>Onyx peeeers into the restaurant beneath his curtain of chocolate locks as he
walks through the doorway, hands in his pockets.
>Gally-chan frowns.. leaning against the cool part of the grill as she nods,
"Yeah.. my apartment had three people living in it.. one felt they were in the
way and left, I didn't tell her to.. she was a friend of Shampoo's, who owns
Nekohanten.. and Shampoo somehow thought it was my fault for having the third
person living there anyway..so she fired me." She blinks..and glances up at the
door before beaming, "Speak of the devil ^_^ Konbanwa, Onyx-kun!"
>Onyx catches the tailend of that conversation, he eh-hehs, running his fingers
through the back of his chocolate mane, "Gally-chan!" he replies, quickly
hopping over ^_^, "Your still at work? o.O I thought you get out about now
^_^:"
>Rei is apparently listening to Gally. He opens his mouth to rply, but is cut
off by Onyx.
>Onyx erks and glances over to Rei >_> Ohs as he realizes he cut him off,
taking a step back and letting the conversation continue ^_^;;
>Rei sweatdrops, and comments, "... Probably wasn't your fauly, miss Gally."
>Gally-chan blinks..and glances at the clock, but turns back to Rei..and smiles
brightly, "Thank you.. it's nice to hear that. I felt pretty bad afterwards..
but Ukyou-san was a lifesaver ^_^ She really is a great girl.." she says,
winking, before nodding to Onyx, "Yeah.. I guess you're right. I didn't even
notice the time. Would you like something to eat before we go, though?"
>Rei blinks . o O ( Ukyou isn't back yet. Hmm. Well, doesn't seem to be much
business, though. )
>Onyx pulls his hands from his pockets to wave off, "No no I couldn't
possibly.." then sense takes over, "..ooh..I guess I can have a beef&shrimp
okonomiyaki for the road." ^_^
>Gally-chan giggles to Onyx, "Coming right up ^.^" she proclaims her phrase
proudly and bends behind the counter and collect the beef and shrimp.. and
ingredients to make the batter.
>Onyx plops down on the stool as he awaits his order to be filled ^_^ Humming
to himself as his depthless chocolate eyes roam the room idly..
>Rei is in a trenchcoat. To disguise who he is? Hmm, well, if he was, it isn't
working.
>Onyx recognizes Rei from awhile before actually >_> Figures he's probably
gotten wise and tried to hide his inhuman self ^_^;
>Rei is glad he can't read minds ';.;'
>Gally-chan mixes the batter before slicing the meet and shrimp.. and setting
them on top. She then pours it onto the grill and lets simmer. While she waits
she pours Onyx a glass of coke and puts it in front of him.. also refilling
Rei's tea.
>Onyx oohs and immediately snatches a straw and noisily nurses on the plastic
tube *slurpslurp* ^_^
>Rei stays quiet now. Apparently you know each other, so...
>Gally-chan grins as she watches Onyx.. while flipping the oko and simmering the
other side. She glances to Rei..and then ohs! "Have you met Onyx-kun before?"
>Rei hmms, blinking as he's addressed. He looks over at Onyx, and scratches his
chin. "I think so. A while back..."
>Gally-chan smiles, "And Onyx-kun.. do you know Rei-san?"
>Onyx gives Rei another distrustful glance..but nodnods ^_^ The commotion
causing the ice in his glass to jitter as he continues to drink ^_^ *slurpslurp*
>Gally-chan says, "If not.. it was incredibly rude of me not to introduce ya
^_^; Onyx-kun is the third roommate I was speaking of, Rei-san."
>Rei is perfectly trustworthy! ... Except with wallets!
>Rei nods to Gally. "Ah, I see."
>Onyx eh-hehs and again nods ^_^;
>Gally-chan flips the oko once more and takes out some seasoning.. before
slipping it on Onyx's plate, "There ya go ^_^ Enjoy."

>Onyx oooohs and finally gives the now empty glass of coke peace as he
immediately takes up chopsticks, "Haai!" and starts shoveling away in a manner
that makes you wonder HOW he can stay so thin ^_^
>Gally-chan says, "But anyways.. as I was saying.. then the girl who was working
here before quit..and Ukyou-san offered me the job when I came looking ^_^"
>Gally-chan refills Onyx's coke with a chuckle before she begins to reclean the
grill.
>Rei nods to Gally. "Well, you seem to do good cooking, at least."
>Gally-chan blushes faintly, "Honto? ^_^ Well.. I'm no Ucchan.. but she taught
me everything I know."
>Rei nods. He doesn't mention that he's used to foraging for his food, so just
about anything is better 'o.o' 'n.n'
>Gally-chan glances to Onyx, "Is it good, Onyx-kun?"
>Onyx mmphrmphmMMhmmprhmp as he nodnodnods ^_^ Mouth completely full ^_^
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. Well, at least it's a quiet night, for once.
>Gally-chan giggles n.n She takes care of the dishes in the front after
finishing the grill.. and stores all the food neatly.
>Onyx goes back to feeding his face as he's making very quick work of the plate
of Oko *_*
>Gally-chan finishes up all the kitchen chores and wipes her hands on her rag,
"Done, Onyx-kun?"
>Rei says, "If you two are heading out, I'll leave so Gally can close up..."
>Onyx hands Gally a plate that is perfectly clean ^.^ *glimmer! Shine!* ^_^
>Gally-chan giggles at the plate.. and hmms at Rei? "Oh, Ukyou should be back
^_^ I just end my shift.. and she closes up.. since she lives upstairs. You can
stay all you like.. I trust you n.n"
>Rei nods to Gally. "Okay..."
>Gally-chan slips the rest of the plates and glasses away and cleans them before
stepping around from the counter and grinning at Onyx, "Ready to go home? ^_^"
>Onyx hops to his feet and nodnods! ^_^ Longish chocolate bangs fluttering with
the motion as he fidgets with his ever unadjusted apparel ^_^
>Gally-chan grins and wraps her arms around one of Onyx's before nodding bai to
Rei, "Hope you meet up with Ukyou-san.. the tea's beside you if you want a
refill. Oh, and dinner was on me, tonight ^_^ Oyasumi, Rei-san."
>Onyx giggles as he lets her wrap her arms about his own thin limb ^_^ Leaning
against her as he nods to Rei as well n.n
>Rei blinks, rubbing the back of his neck. *^^* "Thanks miss Gally."
>Gally-chan says, "My pleasure ^_^"
>Onyx decides to follow Gally.
>Gally exits the restaurant, a little bell jingles.
>Gally leaves with Onyx following behind.
>Ukyou's steps are heard, climbing down from upstairs.

>Ucchan climbs down the stairs, holding up her dress... woo, you get to see her
ankles a short moment.
>Rei blinks, and blushes a second. He'll never get used to you in a dress.
It's... just not normal! 'o.O'

Ukyou
Well, Ucchan decided for a change it seems, she's prettied herself up a tad.
She smiles, and her eyelashes seem a little more obvious than usual (A hint of
mascara?) Her makeup is fairly discreet: a tinge of rosy-pink for her lips,
and hardly a hint of eyeshade. Makeup aside, her face seems to have a slight
glow, you can't quite figure out why... As she brushes some of her soft brown
hair in place, you notice that her nails are a little long and colored with a
nice shade of light red with a shade of violet, those colors work well on her.
Ucchan is wearing a *Dress*. It's a powder-blue outfit with an apron-like
white area in front. It leaves her shoulders exposed without going below her
collarbone. The lower area is quite wide, making the dress quite fashionable.
People knowing the Tendos might recognize Kasumi's style. Kawaii ne?

>Rei rubs the back of his neck, trying to recover the comment he was going to
say.
>Rei snaps his fingers, finally remembering it. "Oh yeah! Is there any reason
why you're dressed up? I mean, usually you wear..." He pauses again, trying to
phrase this well "non-dresses." 'o.o'
>Ucchan shruggles, "No reason."
>Ucchan then sweatdrops and readjusts her dress... Something that leaves the
shoulders uncovered is not a good thing to 'shrug' in.
>Rei sweatdrops. He peers at you... something's up, but he has enough tact not
to pry o.= "Miss Gally left when her friend... um, Onyx? showed up."
>Ucchan ohs, "I'm gonna have to call them soon, then."
>Rei waves his hands defensively. "No, it's okay, she waited until her shift
was up."
>Ucchan nods, n.n "Not that, silly... It's just that I'm closing for winter
soon."
>Rei blinkblinks. Augh! Where will he get food now! 'O.O' "Um... ALL winter?"
>Ucchan nods, n.n "Most of winter yeah... I think even Shampoo'll be headed
there, tough luck if you like restaurants."
>Rei sweatdrops, big time. He tries his best not to whimper, really ';.;'
>Rei asks, "So... um... ALL winter? How will you make money?"
>Ucchan o.o "It's a vacation... I've been saving for this."
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. "Oh..." The sword hangs a bit lower over his
head 'o.o';
>Rei . o O ( There won't even be any place left to rob 'O.o' )
>Rei asks, "So... is there going to be any place downtown still open?"
>Ucchan speaks on the phone mostly, but sidemanages: "Here it might get pretty
slow."
>Rei rests his head on the table. "Don't that just beat all."

>Ucchan, to the phone, "Yuppers... Y'might wanna go too, it was damn fun last
year." n.n
>Rei pikus. "...?"
>Ucchan, to the phone, "Anyway, I'm locking up here, you can still use your key
but don't leave the door open, jaa."

>Ucchan hangs up, "One thing done..."
>Rei shifts in the chair, partly standing up. "Well... if you're closing down, I
can head out."
>Ucchan n.n "Say, are tigers afraid of snow?"
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. "Afraid? Nah. Get chilly...? Yah."
>Ucchan says, "Come on, big guy like you? Snowball fights are fun." n.n
>Rei sweatdrops. "Well, you have a different opinion of snow when you don't have
a house."
>Ucchan o.o "It's a resort, stupid... Like a, y'know, hotel? And it's not as if
there won't be any less snow in Tokyo."
>Ucchan . o O ( Wait... there _will_ be less snow in Tokyo. )
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. "How much does it cost?"
>Ucchan n.n "Hey, I'm a kid and I can afford it."
>Rei sweatdrops. Hmm. Maybe he shouldn't mention his wages yet. Not that he's
actually working hard 'c.c';

Snow mountain now *OPEN* Thu Dec 3 Ukyou

A neat little picture strikes your eye: A one-story mountain resort with two
people posing in front, a cheerful-looking small old man and an athletic young
man with shoulder-length red hair, both waving.
Reading the article a bit, it turns out that 'Snow Mountain', a popular winter
resort in Hokkaido is now open again. Indications to get there are easy to
follow, (use the 'train' towards the countryside, then head to Hokkaido) The
owners mention a few small improvements were made since last winter, and the
price is affordable. They're even running a lottery in Tokyo where five people
will get a free stay.
(OOC note: Snow mountain was very popular last year, most of the muck went and
great memories were forged. n.n I hope it's just as neat this year.)

Marketplace
The commercial center of Nerima has an old-fashioned feel to it, most shops are
small and usually made with wooden walls and tile roofs. Many colorful signs
jut out in the street, filling your field of vision with colorful kanji. You
take a good whiff of the air, different enticing smells tempt you more and
more... The local restaurants have a good reputation, though they tend to cater
more to the student crowd.
