Marketplace
The commercial center of Nerima has an old-fashioned feel to it, most shops are
small and usually made with wooden walls and tile roofs. Many colorful signs
jut out in the street, filling your field of vision with colorful kanji. You
take a good whiff of the air, different enticing smells tempt you more and
more... The local restaurants have a good reputation, though they tend to cater
more to the student crowd.

>Rei strolls in, pausing at the larger-then-usual crowd for this time of night
>Tasuki pulls some papers from his jacket and scribbles on them. "We need
exorcists... BADLY."
>The bad-luck come to life turns to face Skuld and Belldandy... then begins to
stomp towards them. As it passes through various objects, it causes disaster
to follow them. A car suddenly explodes into flames, its fuel tank having
caught fire. A telephone pole fires off sparks as a cable loosens, falling off.
>Burn exclaims, "KILL IT! KILL IT!"
>S-chan exclaims, "WAHHHHH! I WANT MY MOMMY!"
>Katsuo is smoking, crushed, and unconscious on the ground, looking to be the
one who's being picked on. :P
>Bell-chan pushes Shuld behind her and steps back/
>Rei leaps to the top of one of the nearby streetlamps as the car explodes O_O

Belldandy
Catching your eye is young woman who looks to be in her early twenties. She is
of average height, though seemingly taller than most other women of her age.
She has long, light brown hair that springs from her head in all directions and
is very neatly groomed. On her forehead is a small blue mark shaped like an
oblong diamond, and under the outside corner of her blue eyes are small blue
triangles. As she notices your gaze, a faint blush comes to her cheeks and she
smiles kindly to you. She is wearing a light white dress. It barely covers her
shoulders and goes down to her knees. It is embroidered with a blue ribbon, and
circles around her shoulders, ending at her chest with a tied bow. She wears
fingerless gloves made of a purple fabric, and encircled at the wrists by two
silver bracelets. She is also wearing a pair of sandals.

>Kyo exclaims, "Argh! Where's Terry Bogard when you need him! His badluck can
out badluck any badluck aura any day!"
Kyo_Kusanagi
The young man before you seems to be in his very early 20's. He has
medium length hair which reaches down slightly past his eyes and
is wearing a white head band. His dark brown eyes flicker with
determination and power. His young face is handsome, and
radiates pride, discipline and the prowess one finds in a person
who is highly skilled in martial arts. He is roughly 181 centimeters
tall and has a medium build with a sculptured muscle tone.
Kyo is currently wearing a modified highschool uniform. The black
jacket of the uniform has long sleeves, which are rolled up to his
biceps. On the stiff collar of the jacket, there is a small, gold pin
in the shape of the kanji for 'Kyo'. The jacket itself is midnight
black and made of a fine, durable material and has small gold
buttons. A large symbol resembling a hollowed out sun with a
flaring corona is etched on the back of the jacket. Beneath the
jacket, he wears a cotton, white t-shirt, and a black vest with
small gold buttons of its' own. The vest is also of a midnight
black, like the jacket, both of which are left unbuttoned and
fits loosely about his body. His t-shirt is tucked snuggly into
the waist of his pants.
The pants of the uniform is also of midnight black, and seems
freshly pressed. Around the waist of the pants, he wears a
thin, light brown belt with a gold buckle. A pair of white dress
shoes finish up his attire.
Carrying:
>S-chan is pushed back
>Iori-chan motions his hand along the ground, "Doushita!" A purple wave of fire
speeds along to intercept whatever it is.
>The shadowy creature continues towards Belldandy and Skuld as the wave of fire
simply passes through. Despite what one sees, the thing is not truly
tangible... simply a visible form of 'bad luck'.
>Tasuki sends the sheets of paper flying at the .
>Youma? Daimon? Lemures?
>The paper passes through too. n.n Just so you know, it's not tangible. o.o
>Tasuki exclaims, "Good Luck Charms!"
>Rei just watches. You don't step into a violent exorcism, after all O_o
"Don't THIS just beat all!?"
>Iori-chan squints, and puts on a pair of glasses.
Iori_Yagami
Iori is dressed in a dark gray jacket, which is open at the top,
revealing quite a bit of neck and bare chest. The cuffs are
unbuttoned as well, and it appears there is a men's dress shirt
on underneath, as it is outsized for his frame, with twin shirttails
hanging over his knees. A burgandy pair of slacks, tied off with
a belt, at the knees, hangs loosely, seeming to serve no purpose
and quite possibly hindering movement... He has on a pair of tough
boots as well.
Carrying:
>Burn says, "Where's Sana when you actually need her......"
>Kyo says, "Anyone have like...the mother of all good luck charms sitting around
anywhere? O_o;;"
>Bell-chan . o O ( 2 Skuld: We can't cast any spell with them around, neechan..
We have to run. )
>S-chan whines, "everyone run away ;_;"
>Burn exclaims, "Just take the body then! Beat that!"
>Rei would consider that a very valid option if he had a clue what was going on
>Kyo exclaims, "No way! I don't run away from a fight!"
>Iori-chan says, "might be a good time to start, Kusanagi."
>Rei . o O ( What the heck IS that thing, anyway? )
>Burn exclaims, "Decapitate the body, pull the heart out, rip all the limbs!
Just rip the body to pieces!"
>The darkness approaches the two megami, getting very close as it raises a hand
to touch them. "..."
>S-chan Screams!
>Tasuki runs over to the Crispy-Chicken body of Katsuo, and pulls his tessen...
And, while Burn's talking about killing the demon, Katsuo is slowly being
dragged away by his cloak... o_o;
>Iori-chan dashes at the Megamis.
>Kyo says, "Gruesome...isn't it? o_o;"
>Rei has a purpose now! Bad thingy, going close to girls! Bad bad! Swinging on
the lamppost, he leaps towards the... whatever, hoping to get between it and
the goddesses
>S-chan starts to run, trying to drag Belldandy
>Bell-chan doesn't have to be dragged.. She runs.
>Burn exclaims, "Blind it!"
>Burn exclaims, "If you can't touch it, just blind it somehow!"
>Tasuki bashes the body with the tessen. "Well..."
>Rei . o O ( This is probably a VERY bad plan... )
>The black form stops as the two megami flee, knowing full well that it's not a
fast creature. Instead, it reaches out a hand to the side, touching a fire
hydrant...
>Rei lands in front of this thing, with nobody to save. Greeeaaaattt.
>Burn melts the fire hydrant
>Iori-chan lights the hydrant up, "Doushita!"
>Something explodes in a flash of light near the black form.
>Suddenly, ice crystals begin to form around the fire hydrant as some kind of
freakish event of nature takes place. The water within freezes, ice flowing
down and through the pipes linking the hydrant to other hydrants farther down
the street.
>Rei . o O ( You coulda gone to that ten-Kai place, but nooooooo )
>Tasuki tries stabbing the body with the sharp tips on his tessen
>Kyo says, "Oh hell..."
>A distance before Belldandy and Skuld, the ground begins to rupture as the
expanding ice breaks through the pipes, sending a webwork of cracks along the
street as it rumbles.
>Tasuki . o O ( This is wahat I get for wandering around instead of sleeping... )
At the flash of light, the shadowy form rears back, seemingly pained. Though
whether the reaction came from the light itself, or its origins, remains to be
seen.
>Rei scans the area, hopefully before he gets killed. Okay, fleeing goddesses,
exploding water mains, big shadowy bad thingy, unconscious body about to be
stabbed. Think, think, need plan...
>S-chan stumbles to the ground and offs, getting disoriented
>Iori-chan runs back to the two goddesses, "Quit looking like a tourist,
Kusanagi!"
>Tasuki stabs and kicks repeatedly.
>Bell-chan wavers, almost off balence.. She reaches down to help Skuld back up.
>Katsuo is stabbed. Ouch. o.o Well, at least no blood comes from the wound.
o_o;
>Kyo sighs and follows Iori's lead and starts running over to Belldandy and
Skuld.
>Burn goes over to help Tasuki and starts kicking, punching, and breaking the
body
>Katsuo is that poor charred person being beaten up while unconscious. ;_;
Unfortunately, as long as he IS unconscious, the bad luck aura remains awake...
and in that form. o.o
>Okay, plan formed. The Goddesses are covered... that leaves the unconscious
guy, and the intangible critter. Since rei's a physical guy, he dashes for the
unconscious guy, to get him out of here... you don't stab sleepy people!
>That's people, not demon!
>The darkness shakes its head, then lets out a chill hiss, almost inaudible.
Then, it begins to approach the megami again, as Belldandy moves to help Skuld
up.
>Best way to make sure they are dead!
>S-chan stumbles to her feet, "Lets.. get ouf of here.."
>Hey! It's not he KNOWS Kat's a demon!
>Burn exclaims, "Damnit, rip it's F***ing head off!"
>Tasuki exclaims, "You do it!"
>Iori-chan catches up with the two goddesses.
>Burn exclaims, "Give your Taisen then!"
>Iori-chan tosses Skuld to Kyo
>Kyo skids to a stop next to Skuld and Belldandy and helps Skuld to her feet,
"My motorcycle is near the alley, we can use that to get out of here."
>Katsuo is gnabbed! My hero! ;_;
>Tasuki hands his tessen to Burn. "Here. Just give it back!"
>Burn opens up the tessen starts to slice away at the demon's neck!
>Kyo makes a bee line for his motorcycle carrying Skuld.
>Katsuo is gnabbed by Rei, Burn. o.o;
>Katsuo drops Shadow.
>Rei might be in trouble, then O_o
>Iori-chan hauls off with Belle, "..."
>Burn exclaims, "Damnit! Rei is helping that demon! Kill Rei too then!"
Big, Bad, and Badluck continues to flow towards the megami, beginning to catch
up.
>Tasuki snatches his tessen from Burn, finally sick of all this.
>Tasuki runs after Rei,
>Rei eeps. He doesn't have a clue what's going on, but that's a BAD thing to
hear o.o . o O ( Hey, this's that wizard that's scared of chicks...
maybe... )
>Kyo says while he runs for the motorcycle with Skuld, "Skuld-chan, do either
you or your sister know how to ride a motorcycle?!"
>Bell-chan says, "We have to go.. Now"
>Rei proceeds to make himself scarce o_o
>Bell-chan says, "I know."
>Tasuki exclaims, "REI!"
>Katsuo has decided to follow you.
>Bell-chan says, "I was taught."
>Kyo exclaims, "Excellent!"
>Iori-chan huffs from his run.

You head north towards Uematsu way.
Uematsu way
The noise of the marketplace just south of here is slightly muffled by a row of
trees. This area seem mostly residential but properties look a little
higher-income than in other parts of Nerima. A few apartment buildings can be
found, but they are built to look like large houses instead of the expected
blocky look. Other properties are fairly extensive, their stone walls
surrounding not only a few buildings, but gardens and trees as well. One
particular unwalled property is a shrine, surrounded by a neat square of trees,
this pagoda-styled construction gives the surroundings a very traditional feel.

>Burn exclaims, "What the hell are you doing Rei?!"
>Rei exclaims, "Getting this poor guy OUT of there!"
>Burn exclaims, "That guy was gonna kill those two girls!"
>Rei looks down at the beaten, scorched body. "... Come again?"
>Tasuki splashes Katsuo in the face with some alcohol from his hip flask.
>Katsuo gets splashed. Still unconscious. x.x
>Tasuki hauls off and slaps Katsuo's face repeatedly. "Wake up, charbroiler..."
>Katsuo stays very much unconscious. You see, being exploded on, crushed, and
pelted with charms doesn't do very much good for him. ^_^;
>Rei sets Katsuo down, completely confused now o_o;
>Burn exclaims, "You're helping the bad guy!"
>Rei asks, "Would you PLEASE tell me what's going on!?"
>Tasuki points up toward Dai-Jishin. "Take him up there. That should 'help'
him..."
>Rei sweatdrops, but complies

You head down the tree-lined little path leading to Dai-Jishin-ji.
Road to Dai-Jishin Temple
You enter onto a pleasant, tree-lined lane which leads to a neat, quiet
temple with a red tile roof and wooden walls. Lanterns stand at the
front corners of the porch-like entrance, and from its overhang a large
and ornate set of windchimes is suspended. The front posts of the
entrance are deeply carved and painted lacquer-red, and the
crossbeam connecting them is inscribed with a protective charm. A
warm summer breeze ruffles the leaves of the trees and sets the chimes
to swaying gently.

>Rei enters with Katsuo following behind.
>Tasuki comes into sight past the trees that shelter the lane.
>Tasuki says, "C'mon... Into the temple main..."
>Katsuo stops following you.
>Burn has arrived.
>Katsuo will thump off the entrance if he tries to enter the temple. ^^; As if
there was a tangible shield around it.
>Tasuki points at Kats. "See, Rei?"
>Rei runs into said wall *thump* O_o ".....?"
>Rei . o O ( ... Okay, I REALLY wish people would tell me when they get all
weird like this. )
>Burn says, "I say we find Sana and Chibi-Usa and leave that thing with them."
Tasuki steps past and attaches a prayer sheet to Katsuo's head.
>Katsuo's skin doesn't appear to bubble, fizz, darken, or explode at the prayer
sheet, though he does begin to twitch. Strangely enough, the affects on him
are rather mild for a demon... how odd...
>Rei sets Katsuo down, unsure what to do now. "..." He rubs the back of his neck.
>Katsuo suddenly snaps awake, reaching up to tear off the sheet. @_@
>Rei crosses his arms suddenly. "ONE of you is gonna have to explain this to me,
later, y'know."
>Tasuki punches Kats HARD between the eyes.
>Rei leaps at Tasuki, to restrain him. "WHAT are you doing!?"
>Katsuo blinks as the fist comes within inches of his face. He cocks his
head... then moves away from it. o_o;
>Burn says, "This sums it all up.....that thing tried to attack an 11 year old
girl....then this other girl came in and it started to go after them. The
little girl said to kill it."
>Tasuki's character on his forearm flares red. "Let... go... Rei."
>Rei says, slowly to be clear, "Then why don't we ASK him, rather then trying to
tear his throat okay, okay? Dead men don't give information..."
>Tasuki says, "Fine. Just keep him near the temple and away from those girls..."
>Rei lets Tasuki go. "As long as nobody else gets hurt..."
>Tasuki has left.
>Katsuo turns around, glad that it's nightfall. While the others discuss his
death, he gently reaches out to touch a shadow behind him... then begins to
pass into it... O.O;
>Rei blinks. "Hey! Where do you think YOU'RE going!?"
>Rei may have saved your life, but there's still 'splaining to do!
>Burn exclaims, "IF YOU LEAVE I'M GONNA KEEP LOOKING FOR YOU TILL YOU ARE DEAD!"
>Katsuo says, "... back on business..." And with that, he ducks his head into
the shadow.
>Rei dashes towards Kats, only to land headfirst on the now vacant shadow
>Burn exclaims, "Damnit...he's going for the girls again!"
>Katsuo heads back into the bustle of the city.
>Rei stands up, dusting himself off. "... He better not be..." With that, he
dashes back towards the marketplace.

You head back into town, leaving this little patch of serenity behind you.

>Rei resumes where he left off, dashing for the girls. "Are you two alright?"
>Iori-chan says, "Kyo, let's get the girls out first. Worry about your bike
later."
>S-chan nodnods slowly, her head burried into Belldandy
>Kyo nods, "Yeah, good idea."
>Bell-chan hmms? and looks around suddenly.
>Katsuo begins to whisper a chant beneath his breath, his eyes closing slightly
as he weaves his hands about.
>S-chan kawaiis, "... go home neechan.."
>Rei skids to a halt in front of them. Of course, have a big tiger man run in
front of you might NOT be all THAT reassuring.
>Bell-chan says, "He's here.."
>Rei blinks, STILL confused. "Who is?"
>S-chan kawaiis, "... go.. go home... lets go home.."
>Slowly, a sense of drowsiness begins to sweep across the market, growing
stronger by the moment.
>Bell-chan says, "The demon.."
>Rei blinks, yawning . o O ( Wha... what the...? )
>S-chan kawaiis, ".. everyone.. get away...."
>Kyo asks, "Eh?! Again???"
>Burn brings up his barrier.
>Bell-chan exclaims, "Everyone.. Leave! A sleeping spell has been cast!"
>Kyo says, "C'mon, Skuld, lets get you and your sister home, maybe we'll be
lucky and it's like a vampire and can't intrude unless invited into one's home."
>Kyo says, "..."
>Kyo says, "Quick! Iori! Anti-sleeping spell attack!"
>S-chan holds onto bell
>Bell-chan picks Skuld up and starts walkin down the road.
>Burn yells to Rei, "Do you believe me now?!"
>Rei shakes his head. "We don't know who's doing it...!" He yawns again.
>Belldandy heads south towards the curve of Hisashi way.
>Belldandy leaves with Skuld following behind.
>Katsuo URKS at the shout, noticing the female voice. @_@ He vanishes back
into the shadows, panicking.
>The spell ends, leaving behind only a faint drowsiness.
>Katsuo heads south towards the curve of Hisashi way.
>Katsuo has left.
>Rei looks back and forth. No sign of the demon, or the shadow thing. And the
spell seems to be ending...
>Iori-chan laughs manaically
>Rei seems perfectly normal. For a Tiger-man c.c
>Kyo asks, "So, Yagami, what's with the new attitude?"
>Burn changes into his death costume..
>Rei rubs the back of his neck. He's not really all that hungry anymore... @_o
He turns to head home (read: go to sleep under a park bench)
>Iori-chan asks, "What? you don't like it? You want me to try to kill you
again?"
