Seventh Heaven Bar - Room Three

A small room, previously used for storage. It's not high class, but the room

looks to have been set up with a few personal touches here and there. A very

simple area, it contains a dresser, a bed, and a few other peices of furniture.

The floor isn't carpeted, it's simply a well taken care of hardwood surface.

>Ryan peeks his head through the door >.> <.<

>Lyrae is sitting on the bed, talking to Eria with her back to the door.

>Through the door? Casper!

>Ryan (OOC) erk. You know what I mean! Baka.

>Lyrae (OOC) laughs

>Eria asks, "Why's that?"

>Lyrae quietly says, "Anyway," she takes a breath, "My mother..was the strongest

of all of us..but not with a physical strength.. She was ..spiritually strong.

She hated violence, and..she made a lot of mistakes for our safety.. School

life was worse. I had no friends, .. I never went outside because there was

always the danger of kidnapping for ransom and the like.. so I was always quiet

and pale. I was dubbed 'Spooky' in my high school years. And yet I managed

through this because I had my mother and my brother."

>Lyrae asks gently, "Why?"

>Lyrae quietly says, "My father.. had his agenda.."

>Ryan was about to step through the doorWAY, but decides against it, upon

hearing Lyrae talk to Eria. "..."

>Lyrae quietly says, "Most of the time he didn't care about us.. just power.

Always power. He ran a large ..shady corporation so ..the more shareholders he

had the better. The more money had brought in, the happier he was.. and the

safer -we- were."

>Lyrae quietly says, "Sometimes if I saw him doing something wrong I would ask

him about it.. it was those times that I thought he would follow through with

his threat. My mother always intervened."

>Lyrae snorts wryly, "In my household, the women were there only as figureheads.

Look pretty and say nothing."

>Eria says, "I never had a home... Not that I can remember, anyway."

>Lyrae quietly says, "I'm sorry to hear that.. a good home is something to be

cherished..if you have the good fortune to have one."

>Lyrae quietly says, "But at least you have a chance for one"

>Eria asks, "...What do you mean?"

>Lyrae quietly says, "I mean you have a second chance to make a decent life for

yourself."

>Ryan . o O ( ............. )

>Eria asks, "Do you really... think I can do that?"

>Lyrae quietly says, "I know you can."

>Lyrae quietly says, "You have to be very careful what you do though.. one wrong

move..one mistake.. it can undo all you've done. But I know you can do it

Eria." She smiles, "Of the two of us in the room, you're more likely to, I

think."

>Ryan . o O ( It's almost kinda funny, poor messed-up Lyrae playing therapist

-.-; Well, at least she seems to be good at it. )

>Lyrae can help just about anyone -but- herself ^_^;

>Isn't that how it always works? n.n;

>Yah n.n

>Ryan can help himself! ... To some delicious toll house cookies! YUM!

>Lyrae wants some!!

>Eria asks, "What will I have to do...?"

>Lyrae quietly says, "Start fresh for one..it won't be easy, but..as long as

there's someone helping you along the way, it won't be impossible. I promise to

help you as long as you need it Eria." She crosses her arms, "Mostly.. I think

you have to re-evaluate your values.. what's really important to you. You can't

run around breaking the law, murdering people.."

>Ryan . o O ( ... Duh -.-; )

>Ryan . o O ( Beating senseless, maybe. Murder? Nope. )

>Eria says, "Why shouldn't I? Plenty of them would kill me, without a second

thought."

>Lyrae quietly says, "Maybe, maybe not. Just because you can doesn't make it

right."

>Lyrae quietly says, "It never does. A lot of people don't understand that.

That's why they are as they are."

>Lyrae quietly says, "Self defense is one thing.. out and out murder, or

attacking without cause is another."

>Eria looks down to the floor, at that. "..."

>Lyrae asks gently, "Do you understand?"

>Eria nods. "Yes..."

>Lyrae smiles, "Good. Now I want to give you something.. it's supposed to

protect its wearer from domination magic and the like. A friend gave it to me..

now I'm giving it to you."

>Ryan raises his eyebrow at this. "...?"

>Eria asks, "How does it work?"

>Lyrae quietly says, "You wear it on your arm.. if you come into contact with

any kind of dominatiom magic.. it _should_ nullify it.. or block it somehow."

>Lyrae hands Ruby Armlet to Eria.

>Eria can't put it on at the moment, being tied up. "Thank you."

>Lyrae blinks and sweatdrops. Oh yah. The tied up thing. "Well it should work as

long as you have it too.. I think it's a proximity kind of thing."

>Eria shifts around slightly on the floor, trying to get in as comfortable a

position as possible.

>Lyrae raises an eyebrow, "Is it getting painful?"

>Eria shakes her head. "It's alright."

>Ryan speaks up, "... Seriously, I can untie ya, y'know, if you promise not to

run off." Eyeek, where'd HE come from!?

>Lyrae quietly says, "..if you're sure.." She nearly leaps out of her skin,

turning white for a second. Then turns around, "Will you stop doing that!!?!"

>Ryan sweatdrops. "Oh... er... sorry Ly-chan." n.n V

>Eria looks up at Ryan. "Don't worry, I won't run away..."

>Lyrae sweatdrops and grins, shaking her head. o O ( I swear one of these days

he's going to give me a heart attack. )

>Ryan . o O ( I swear, one of these days, she's gonna have a heart attack   -.-;

)

>Ryan walks over to Eria. "Sit still, it'll take a while to undo this... kinda

made crappy knots."   o.-;

>Lyrae giggles quietly.

>Eria waits patiently for Ryan to untie her.

>Ryan fiddles around for a few minutes, before grumbling and pulling out a

pocketknife. "When in Gord..." *swipe*

>Lyrae glances at Eria, "since you'll be there for a while.. is there anything

else you want to know about me?" o O ( Since I kinda got sidetracked. )

>Lyrae blinks, "Gord?" She stifles a grin.

>Ryan leans back. "Hmm? Never heard that story?"

>Lyrae shakes her head, "Iye."

>Ryan hmms as he pulls the rope away. "Well, it was some Greek hero... or was it

Gilgamesh? Anyway, this hero guy, he travels to Gord, to accomplish... um,

something."

>Lyrae sweatdrops.

>Ryan says, "Anyway, to get to the wise-old-guru guy, he has to untie the

'Gordian knot', this big 'ol thing that nobody's ever been able to untie.

Because it's, like, really screwed up. So this hero guy, he just takes his

sword and hacks it in half. Problem solved."

>Lyrae giggles, "Are you serious? I never heard of that in any history book.."

>Ryan nods. "Yup. Famous story."

>Ryan snaps his fingers. "Wish I was one of the people watching... it musta been

HILARIOUS."

>Lyrae shakes her head, "I'll .. take your word for it." She grins, "Anyway I

have to run to check on a few things. I'll see you later Eria."

>Lyrae giggles

>Lyrae has left.

>Eria sits up and rubs her arms, trying to get the blood flowing through them

again.

>Ryan takes a step back, seating himself on the windowsill. "That a little

better for ya?"

>Eria nods. "Yeah, it feels better."

>Ryan squints. "I'm still a BIT mad about that 'kill me' thing... I kinda like

living... but as long as you promise not to try it again, I'll forgive."

>Eria says, "...I'm sorry about that..."

>Ryan shrugs. "... No permanent harm done, I guess."

>Ryan rubs his chin. "I can get you something to eat, if you'd like. Probably

hungry..."

>Eria finally gets her limbs back to feeling normal. "Yeah, I'm starved..."

>Ryan stands up. "Well, follow me. Any pawn of Esmerelda's is a friend of

mine..."

>Eria gets up to follow Ryan. "..."

>Eria falls in line behind you.

Seventh Heaven Bar - Upstairs Hallway

The upstairs hallway is a long thin passage that ends with a window on the

other side of the building. It's mostly free of decorations, and looks to be

built with less expensive wood then the downstairs area. Doorways lead off

into various rooms, most normally used for storage. One, however, bears the

label "Tifa's Room" on the door, and another next to it has a sheet of paper

tacked to it proclaiming, "Cloud's Room". Currently, the storage rooms have

been converted, as there's no longer as many things needing storage here.

Three rooms besides the guest room which fill the upstairs hallway look to have

been changed over, with locks on front of each for privacy.

Seventh Heaven Bar - Main Room

Tifa's Seventh Heaven Bar has a campy feeling to it, primarily constructed of

dark wood with occasional items for decoration. Several worn tables grace the

area near the door, looking beaten up from years of patrons. The bar is more

well kept, stocked with a vast amount of alcoholic beverages and components for

mixed drinks. The room is just a tad dimly lit, feeling cozy and familiar at

the same time. Other areas of interest are the entrance to the kitchen, and a

porch with some comfy chairs. All in all, the Seventh Heaven is a nice tribute

to what someone can put together for a business if they try. A machine for a

game similar to pinball sits on the less used side of the room, sporting an

"Out of Order" sign. Most of the damage that was obvious only a little while

ago is now repaired with more permenant fixes, so the bar once again is back to

it's former self.

>Ryan arrives, with Eria following behind.

>Ryan walks over to the bar . o O ( Eh, I can pay 'em back. ) "Looking for

anything in particular?"

>Eria shakes her head.

>Ryan hmms, pulling out a big 'ol bag of chips and a can of cola.

>... Well... what do you expect? It's a bar!

>Eria can live with that.

>Elmdor peeks open one eye from his resting spot at the bar. o.-

>Ryan tosses 'em over to you, soda first. "Here ya go."

>Elmdor yaaaawns heavily and opens his arms; stretching with a small grunt. He

then sits up on the stool, "Mmph... good evening..."

>Ryan blinks, glancing over at Elmdor. Didn't notice there was another patron

here. "Oh, hey."

>Eria catches the food. "Thanks." She opens up the chips, and munches on a few.

>Ryan leans against the bar, occasionally glancing over at Eria. Eventually he

gets bored enough to grab a soda for himself.

>Elmdor scratches his neck a bit... looking behind him to make sure his mantle

and cloak are still on the bar. He then looks over towards Eria.. then Ryan,

"Anything interest happen today?"

>Ryan raises his eyebrow. "Interesting? Here? Yeah, right."

>Eria finished off the chips quickly, and takes a sip at her soda, letting Ryan

answer any questions.

>Elmdor hmphs and grumbles a bit, "Figures..."

>Ryan smirks. "Well, even if something did, you weren't awake to see it, eh?"

>Elmdor smirks right back, "If something 'interesting; happened I believe I

would have woken up, kid." He straightens a bit and turns towards the bar to

look over his things.

>Ryan walks over to Eria as he sips his soda. What the... RC Cola? !^@(!

Masochist.

>Ryan asks, "Want to head back upstairs?"

>Ryan peers at Elmdor. Who's he calling a kid? I could snap him in two   o.=;

Elmdor

Before you stands the tall, noble figure of Marquis Elmdor. His height is at

an exact 6 feet tall and his build is rather muscular and broad even though he

is starting to slim down from many years off the battle-field. His face is

delicated and well-defined; his eyes, two piercing orbs of pearly white. His

skin is very light and comments the long, snowy white locks of hair that are

thrown about his face and tucked behind his ears; the rest of his long hair

falling behind his back.

Elmdor's chest and shoulders are rather broad and built from his disciplined

training and battle experience. A large, black mantle of silk and leather

rests on his wide shoulders and have an extravagant silver embroidering all

over it. A black velvet cape flows down from under the mantle and is usually

pushed out of the way by his arms as he is constantly placing them on his hips

or rubbing his chin as he observes things; the inside lining a beautiful, pure

white as it contrasts with his attire. A fancy white poet's shirt hangs

loosely on his chest from under the mantle... the sleeves flowing down into a

large pair of black riding gloves.

A large leather belt hugs Elmdor's waist and goes down into an elegant pair of

black leather pants; the material dull and soft and looking to be of real

leather. A pair of large boots cling to his calves and stop at his knees; the

bottoms of them covered in an armor-like steel plating. Going over his chest

and the cloak is a large black strap of some sorts; flowing around his body to

support a huge black samurai sword sheath on his back... the entire thing

beautifully styled with snowy white bone and silver leaf. Inside is the

legendary Masamune... the sword of heroes that contains awesome powers that no

mortal has every unleashed to its fullest potential. Elmdor walks with a

noble, regal stride but his calm face seems to show a faint hint of humble-ness

despite he is a noble and ruler in Ivalice.

Carrying:

>Eria finishes off her soda, then nods. "Yes, I'm feeling really tired..."

>Elmdor stands up... calmly picking up his mantle and cloak. He carefully

begins to strap it back on before grabbing The Masamune and hooking it

delicately onto his back.

>Ryan hmms, and shrugs, nodding to her.
