Hill road: uphill
You are on a road winding halfway around a large hill. Part of the way, one
side of the road is a meter-high white concrete wall holding the higher ground
in place and the other side a steep grass-covered incline with quite some
shrubbery. Higher on the hill, there is less relief so the holding wall makes
itself scarce. The view of the town is quite nice at this height, you can see
the river going from east to west, and curving northward, you can see a small
park just past a school, and a marketplace teeming with life a little more to
the west... Looking back up here, you find that not too many houses were
built, leaving many trees to agrement the place. The few homes do happen to be
fairly large though.

Cloud suddenly LEAPS past you, his sword swinging fluidly off of his back to
slash at a Shinra soldier unseen behind you! As the enemy crumbles, he says in
a wry voice, "Woohoo!"
You pass through the large gate of the dojo, a plaque on the side specifies
that this is a kendo school: The Kamiya Kassin Ryu.
Practice Yard
The center of the complex, the practice yard is a large spacious area
of short grass and well packed down dirt. A few trees stand in the
yard here and there, swaying gently in the breeze. To the east and
west of the yard are two seperate buildings in the traditional
Japanese style, very open aired with a roof covering the walkways of
each of the buildings. To the north of the yard lies the entranceway
to the complex itself, and just to the south lies the dojo itself, a
beautiful wooden structure.
A considerable amount of construction appears to be going on right
now all over the complex. Stones are being refitted for the walls,
the roof being replaced where needed, much of the wooden structures
themselves being completely rebuilt. A pile of rubble is being set
aside for now as the work progresses.

alleviate his confusion regarding what happened at Kanryu's. He didn't even
know the other Oniwabanshu were dead..." He shakes his head. "According to
Hannya, they have nothing to do with it."

thoughts?"

Kaoru-dono's disappearance. You might have thought of something the rest of us
have overlooked."
Yahiko scratches his head..
Rin says, "I think that you should find out what that rose and letter are..."
Yahiko says, "whatever's written should tell us something.. and Hannya wouldn't
have been flaunting it otherwise.. unless there's really nothing on it and he
just wants to annoy everyone"
Kenshin says, "It's not like the Oniwabanshu to waste their time as an
irritant. The rose must be important..."

might check with flower vendors, or anyone who grows roses." He sweatdrops,
going slightly SD. "That does still leave a lot of ground to cover, but..."

the train station."

You head downhill, following the gentle slope of the street.
Hill road
This residential area is more tree-covered than the rest of Nerima. Fewer
properties were built because of the ground's relief. The street curves this
way and that, coming from the east where it crosses Kanno street, goes around a
few smaller house-topped houses and makes a 'Y' fork. The south way gently
climbs the tallest hill while the northwest way curves all the way north to
reach the river farther away, where Hisashi bridge lies. Local homes are
usually surrounded by tall wooden fences, but there remains enough shrubbery
and trees around here that you might actually spot a tanuki if you look well
enough.

You take the east way, the streets level out in that direction.
South Kanno street
You are in the residential heart of Nerima. The neighborhood has a slightly
traditional feel to it, most homes being usually made of wood. The properties
tend to be surrounded by tall wooden walls, or occasionally a stone one. There
is very little motor traffic around here, right now you only see a small truck
passing by with loudspeakers blaring, "Get your fresh-cut bamboo!". At least
one noteworthy property around here would be the Tendo dojo, at the crossing of
two streets.

You follow the street north, and reach the river.
Kanno bridge
The river flows gently from west to east, on either side, the banks are a few
meters wide and covered with grass and stones, before a steeply sloped concrete
wall climbs to the level of the street. On either side of the river, streets
follow the river's length, flanked by the many walled homes. A bridge crosses
here, three feet high walls on either side to prevent someone falling in.

North Kanno street
This residential area is a little more busy than streets farther south: many
schoolgoers pass through here while heading towards a school farther west and
additionally, a subway station takes and leaves its loads of passengers on a
regular basis. That station is modern but the entrance has been built with the
style of a pagoda, it's quite cute. The homes here have a traditional feel to
them, often made of wood and using tile roofs. Also, ubiquitous wooden
palissades surround most properties.

It seems an old woman here has an odd habit of splashing water in the street.

Shinjuku Train Station(#426RL)
You arrive at the largest tram station in Tokyo. This is the main node for
people to get to other parts of the city for various reasons. If you look
around you see among the many people a newsstand and other small operations. On
the walls are various posters and bills announcing anything from plays and
shows to sales. Attached to the ceiling is an electronic update board reminding
you of the trains schedules. Don't be late.. The pilots pride themselve to be
as efficient as possible. You can also leave towards central Tokyo.

You board the train to the Tsukiji district to the east, and soon find yourself
exiting another station to sense the salty tang of the sea borne in the air.
Waterfront
This is the source of much of Tokyo's commerce. The port area. Here, dozens of
wharves jut out into the bay. Vessels of various kinds are moored here, and
cranes are constantly loading and unloading crates and boxes of cargo, which
then are moved to the customs warehouses which lay just east of the docking
area. There are no pleasure craft here. This is strictly business. In the
middle of the day, you'll find this waterfront teeming with activity as
sailors, shipping clerks, and forklift operators carry on with commerce. By
night, a cool breeze blows in from the sea, the light of the moon sparkling on
the rolling waves. In the early mornings, a fine mist hovers over the
coastline, cloaking you with quiet seclusion.
Far at the south end of the gravel and sand-strewn road leading away from the
wharfs, you notice a bullet train pulling into the station, ready to pick up
more passengers.

Your looking at a beautiful woman, her long blond hair in a ponytail down
agianst her back. SHe has beautiful blue eyes, and a mischievious smile. her
body is sexy and curvy, and shes well stacked to boot ( helps when you want to
trick the chief of police by seducing em ). Her bangs hang slightly in her face
and she looks like she is looking for a bit of fun.... Ryou is wearing a lovely
outfit today, that just screams some sort of attention. Her shirt consists of a
black shirt with white letters saying out 'I got it, you want it' and a pair of
blue tight daisy duks, showing off the back pockets and making them look pretty
much like a pair of panties instead of a pair of shorts. She wears a pair of
tennis shoes to match the nice (nice...hmmm) outfit off. Amazing how this makes
her curves stand out all over. She looks to you looking at her and smirks, then
looks away.

You head for the beachfront summer bazaar, climbing carefully down an angled
hillside of timeworn gray stone to the sandy beach and the plethora of tents
and carts.
Beach Bazaar(#2485RJL)
Between the waterfront's piers and the relative quiet of Bristol Beach, you
find a more crowded area of the beach. Hardly straying from the commerce
environment of the wharfs, this half-mile stretch of sand is covered with small
shops set up for the summer, ranging from simple tents to more elaborate
shacks. The variety of curios and souvenirs sold here is quite extensive,
ranging from the usual swimsuit peddlers and sno-cone merchants to the
downright bizarre Chinese antique dealer having a summer "garage sale."

The wind ruffles your hair, blowing across the bay to the fine white sands of
this beach. Across the wide expanse of sand, you see a grassy hillside to the
south, an old restaurant perched at its top. Far along the beach to the east
you can just make out the piers jutting into the bay at the waterfront. But
here, all the world seems to be sand, water, and sky. When one is alone here,
be it night or day, it's a communal experience with the sea. And when here with
others, it's a great place for a martial arts volleyball tournament or a
marshmallow roast! Swimming anyone?

The young man standing before you seems ever so slightly out of place in modern
Tokyo. He's rather tall, looming just barely over six feet, but his overall
build is lean - wiry and strong rather then skinny. As you focus in on his
face, you see that some could consider him attractive. His thin brown eyes and
overall narrow face give him undeniably aquiline features. His mop of brown
hair stands more or less straight up, held that way by a wide red bandana.
He wears lower-class fashion that seems like it would have been common a
century ago, a simple white gi. If you get the chance, you can easily see the
kanji for 'Evil' prominently displayed on the back of the gi - probably a good
indication of Sano's character. Under his open top you see that his lower
abdomen is wrapped up.

Between the waterfront's piers and the relative quiet of Bristol Beach, you
find a more crowded area of the beach. Hardly straying from the commerce
environment of the wharfs, this half-mile stretch of sand is covered with small
shops set up for the summer, ranging from simple tents to more elaborate
shacks. The variety of curios and souvenirs sold here is quite extensive,
ranging from the usual swimsuit peddlers and sno-cone merchants to the
downright bizarre Chinese antique dealer having a summer "garage sale."

You head eastward, weaving through the tents and carts, until sand gives way to
a steep incline of smooth, weatherbeaten rock. Climbing it, you reach the
commercial dock area.
Waterfront
This is the source of much of Tokyo's commerce. The port area. Here, dozens of
wharves jut out into the bay. Vessels of various kinds are moored here, and
cranes are constantly loading and unloading crates and boxes of cargo, which
then are moved to the customs warehouses which lay just east of the docking
area. There are no pleasure craft here. This is strictly business. In the
middle of the day, you'll find this waterfront teeming with activity as
sailors, shipping clerks, and forklift operators carry on with commerce. By
night, a cool breeze blows in from the sea, the light of the moon sparkling on
the rolling waves. In the early mornings, a fine mist hovers over the
coastline, cloaking you with quiet seclusion.
Far at the south end of the gravel and sand-strewn road leading away from the
wharfs, you notice a bullet train pulling into the station, ready to pick up
more passengers.

You head down to the south end of the street, to the train station which lies
between the commercial and residential districts. Boarding a train at the small
station, you head back for Tokyo's central station.

You arrive at the largest tram station in Tokyo. This is the main node for
people to get to other parts of the city for various reasons. If you look
around you see among the many people a newsstand and other small operations. On
the walls are various posters and bills announcing anything from plays and
shows to sales. Attached to the ceiling is an electronic update board reminding
you of the trains schedules. Don't be late.. The pilots pride themselve to be
as efficient as possible. You can also leave towards central Tokyo.

This residential area is a little more busy than streets farther south: many
schoolgoers pass through here while heading towards a school farther west and
additionally, a subway station takes and leaves its loads of passengers on a
regular basis. That station is modern but the entrance has been built with the
style of a pagoda, it's quite cute. The homes here have a traditional feel to
them, often made of wood and using tile roofs. Also, ubiquitous wooden
palissades surround most properties.

This is a quaint little park that is quite popular with the local students.
Stone-covered paths wind around oases of greenery, where trees bring some
pleasant shade to the benches. A fountain sings its watery song at the center
of the park, flanked by several cherry trees that ensure a very pleasant sight
during the sakura season. The sounds of civilization are not far away though,
Kanno street following the east edge of the part, and another street to the
west heading to Hisashi way.

wide blue eyes in an angel's face surrounded by a wealth of golden hair.
Looking at this young man, it's hard to imagine him being anything other then
innocent. Dressed simply in a pink button up shirt, tan pants, and a dark blue
vest over all, he seems to be one of those people who simply must have rose
tinted glasses tucked away somewhere on his person. As he becomes aware your
looking at him, his head raises, one tiny hand brushing his golden hair off his
forehead, a ready smile coming easily to his lips. Wide blue eyes watch you
expectantly, his head slightly cocking to oneside.

This room is both immaculately clean and completely bare, save for a
futon folded neatly near the back of the room.

East Wing
The east wing of the complex faces opposite the west wing, with
the practice yard directly between them. The wing is actually a
single long building built in a traditional japanese style.
Shoji doors seperate various rooms leading further into the
complex, with straw mats outside each room. A hardwood floor
leads around the building itself, open to the outside but for a
roof covering it. Several wide wooden stairs lead from the floor
down to the ground of the practice yard. The entire area seems
very peaceful, a soft breeze blowing almost constantly.
As with the practice yard, signs of construction can be seen
here and there throughout the wing. In several places the
hardwood floors are pried up to replace boards, other areas are
being carefully polished and refurbished. A few of the light
shoji doors are have tears that have thus far only been briefly
patched until they can be replaced.
