Main Room
This is a sizable and comfy room of a relatively small cafe on the corner of
Thor East and Tyr. Tables are lined about neatly in an L coordination about a
likely L-shaped counter, where foot stools are placed for extra seating.
Behind the counter, a large cutout in the wall allows communication between the
registreers and the cooks, and the waitress or waiter on duty moves back and
forth from this room to the kitchen through a wooden door placed to the side of
it. Set into the northeastern corner, are two public payphones, the restrooms,
and some stairs, apparently leading up to an apartment above. There is little
to know decoration of the mostly wood-furnished structure, and what there is
seems to be following a 50s theme. With a few nostalgic objects of yore, most
notably a jukebox. (Use 'menu' and 'order' to order things.)

>Tasuki has arrived.
>Tasuki walks in quietly, taking an empty table to himself. He pulls out a jug
of sake, and chugs. Obviously, he isn't in the best of moods. -.-
>Katt sits at a table, looking rather like she had a poor amount of sleep. Dark
circles under the eyes, messed up hair, that sort of thing. Not that she looks
in a bad mood or anything, at least not yet.
>Tasuki doesn't even bother to look around, not even at Katt. He probably didn't
come here to find you, it looks more like he just came here to drink. c.c
>Katt doesn't notice you then, either. She's watching the interesting wallpaper
pattern. This's gonna be interesting RP.
>Tasuki throws the cork of his bottle over his shoulder carelessly, and it finds
itself soaring towards your skull. How's that for interesting?
>Not very. At least not until after it hits. *bop* Ah, there we go. Katt sits
up, looking back and forth, scanning the room.
>Tasuki is just chugging his sake. Unfortunately, he's the only other person in
the room. o.o;
>Katt peers at Tasuki. She reaches for her staff. Hrmm, wonder how much she
remembers? 'c.c'
>Tasuki closes his eyes as he drinks, a single tear rolls down his cheek. Jee,
maybe he's upset...?
>Katt stalks up behind Tasuki, drawing back to give you a sound beating, right
before she notices your expression. Hmm, I guess it can wait. She speaks,
probably cluing you in to her presence, "Something wrong...?"
>Tasuki shakes his head, as much as he can without interrupting his drinking. He
doesn't even turn to look at you. Although, he does squint a bit harder as he
hears your voice.
>Katt taps you on the head. "Hey, I asked you a question..."
>Tasuki finishes off his sake, pulling the bottle away and tossing it aside.
"Nothing's wrong!"
>Katt puts her hands on her hips. "What kind of idiot do you take me for?"
>Tasuki folds his arms, "I decided yesterday, I want you out of my life."
>Katt blinks. "W-what?"
>Tasuki doesn't offer much of a reply, he just decides to let his last words
sink into Katt's mind.
>You certainly have a way with words, don't you. If she was in a good mood
before, she isn't now, that's for certain. She seethes for a moment, clenching
her fists... then slaps you across the cheek. Oddly enough, she didn't even
bother to use her staff. "FINE! Be that way! Goodbye!"
>Tasuki takes the hit like a man. He leans right into it, only consolidating the
pain. "Katt, wait..."
>Katt doesn't wait. She storms outside.

Intersection: Thor/Tyr
This intersection is relatively nice, if not for the lingering darkness to the
west on Thor Street. Luckily, all the streetlamps here are replaced
regularly..any graffiti is cleaned up almost immediately..and a neighbourhood
police patrol keeps an eye out for any shifty and suspicious types wandering
about. To the east, Thor Boulevard is a much more lively and light
place..housing many people in small housing complexes, and a few larger,
upper-middle class homes. To the South, Tyr Road continues in that direction,
with a mixture of hotels and apartment buildings. To the north, it seems to
disperse at an obscure point..though a few eateries catering to myriad tastes
can be seen.

>Tasuki has arrived.
>Tasuki exclaims, "Hey, I'm sorry, all right?!"
>Katt isn't listening. She just stands on the sidewalk, arms crossed, and back
towards you.
>Tasuki runs outside, too. He's not being quiet in the least now, of course. He
tries to sum up an adequate explanation, "I... I've never really wanted to
kill a guy over a girl before...but, Arin..." He clenches his fist, "I just
don't wanna think like that. And I think it'd be a lot easier if I just walked
away from you, I mean, it'd be one more stress outta yer life, right? One less
swing of your staff every day..."
>Katt lets that sink in. "..." The pause is quite akward, yes indeedy. "... I
know Arin's an idiot and all, but... geez, you don't have to try to hurt him,
even if he's been mean to you..." She inhales, but doesn't continue. "..."
>Tasuki shakes his head, "I can't f***in' help it, it's compulsive. I know I was
aimin' for that guy...but I didn't stop myself when Arin got in the way. I've
done it to Tamahome before, too..." He begins to walk away, "...bye."
That's as blunt and as simple as it can be put, right? o.o
>Katt turns her head, too look at you over her shoulder. "Wait... Tamahome was
that guy from before, right?"
>Tasuki says over his shoulder, "Yeah...and his girlfriend has been kidnapped,
Miaka... I couldn't save her either. I'm in no way fit to protect you as a
boyfriend, or anyone else, if I can't even save the person my life was supposed
to be devoted to..."
>Katt whirls around to face you. "What? Kidnapped!? When!?"
>Tasuki says, "...two hours ago..."
>Katt blinks again, taking a step forward. "Who did it?"
>Tasuki folds his arms, obviously not enjoying the conversation too much,
"Nakago."
>Katt snarls, fists clenched, tail lashing. "That !^@(! from before!?"
>Tasuki says nothing, and nods again. -.-
>Katt whips her staff out. "That's it! That's final! I'm going to track that guy
down and whack him silly!"
>Tasuki shakes his head, "You'll die before you get within five feet of him."
>Katt takes another step towards you, still in 'hyper' mode. "Maybe, maybe not!
But I still gotta try!" . o O ( It's what Ryu would do... ) "And you're still
underestimating me!"
>Tasuki turns around, giving you a fanged glare, "I'm NOT f***in'
underestimating you! With all the f***ing ability you have, and more, he could
turn you into a pile of dust!!"
>Katt exclaims, quite forceful about the matter, "Then I'll drag Ryu in too! I'm
not stopping until I save that girl...!"
>Tasuki exclaims, "Katt, I don't want you risking your life, don't you
understand a god damn thing? Nakago is a monster, and if he wanted to, he
could've killed us both right now! ...but he won't, because I'll never let
myself lose to that bastard. And I know Miaka won't either, even if her brain
isn't working all the way!"
>Tasuki seems to have undergone a change. Neat, huh? He grins ferociously, "You
know what, you don't need your friend Ryu, me and you can kick Nakago's @$$
ourselves!"
>Katt is nearly snarling, even as a smirk crosses her features. "You have no
idea who I've seen! Habaruku...!" She pauses, the fire dwindling from her
emotion; it's rekindled at your second statment. "Exactly!"
>Tasuki grins down at his tessen, "Where shall we start?"
>Katt crosses her arms, rubbing her chin in thought. "Where was the last place
you saw her...?"
>Tasuki asks, "The hospital, but Nakago teleported away from there. He could be
anywhere, now...do you know anything about chi teleportation?"
>Katt hmms, and shakes her head. "Magic isn't my specialty. At least, not when
I'm like this..."
>Tasuki pikus, and looks her over, "Like what? o.o"
>Katt waves dismissively. "Nothing important." She rubs her chin, trying to
think of someone who might know.
>Tasuki asks, "...hey, who's Ryu, anyways? You talk about him a lot. Is he your
brother or something?"
>Katt once again freezes in her tracks. "He's... an old fighting partner. Only
one who ever beat me, actually." Of course, that's 'cause he's a dragon. But
she won't mention that.
>Tasuki grins a bit as he looks at her, fangs glinting, "Hey, we never finished
our fight, you know."
>Katt smirks at that. "I didn't know you were so eager to get beat up."
>Tasuki flips his fan out, "Eager to beat up, yeah. n.n"
>Tasuki expands his tessen, "Sorry, but it's only fair that we both have
weapons. n.n Lekka..." He draws the tessen in front of his face, hopping back a
few feet, "...shien!" He draws the fan up and behind his back, the flames
splurting accross the ground and up to about six feet off the ground as they
shoot towards you.
>Katt twirls the staff in her hand. It's remarkably agile for such a large
weapon, you must admit. However, her first attack (if she was planning one) is
cut off but that little pyrotechnic display. She may have been ready for it,
though, as with a flick of her wrist she uses it to vault out of the path of
the fire. A bidahh in your general direction shortly follows.
>Tasuki grins a bit, "Nice evasion! Genjitsu!" He throws something that he
pulled out of his pocket out. It's a long white piece of paper...which
disappears after a second. Something appears, but it's hard to make out in the
darkness. A wolf growl comes from the area where the paper was, and it jumps
towards you, threatening to gnaw at your leg. Being supernatural and all, it's
very fast. o.o
>Katt is a bit supernatural herself, in case you've forgotten. Not that it seems
to matter now. Katt's reflexes are superhuman (not that she's human, but that's
a different point)... and you now realize why she spins the staff in her hand
like that - it allows for almost instant attacks from any angle. A twist of the
wrist, and the staff moves to intercept!
>Tasuki grins a bit as the wolf disappears, but it gives him enough time to
follow through while you're busy countering. He points the tessen at you,
"LEKKA SHIEN!" A blast of flame shoots out of the fan, heading straight towards
you. No arc at all.
>It doesn't seem that Katt mind. As soon as that attacker vanishes - she wasn't
expecting it to do that, so she's slowed a bit - and the second flame flies at
her, she dashes... towards it? What the heck? He intent soon becomes obvious as
she uses her momentum to literally pole vault over the flaming line; her staff
is singed a tad, but oddly enough, Katt escapes unharmed (excpet, perhaps, for
some minor singes around the gloves). This also gives her the nice position of
rapidly closing on you.
>Tasuki, of course, finds his own advantage within this. He waits you out,
flicking his tessen into a folded position. He watches you, calculating your
rate of descent...well, estimating how long it's gonna take you to close in,
waiting to counter the inbound attack.
>Katt charges towards you after vaulting the flame, but she changes her
trajectory as soon as she gets within ten feet of youm jerking to the right to
circle around you, and jabbing between your legs with the tip of her staff.
Apparently, she's trying to user her momentum to trip you, or at least knock
you a tad off-balance.
>Tasuki instead of trying to counter this attack, instead hops away from it
completely. Although he could, he chooses not to flame her once again, and
rather wait for her to commence another attack.
>Katt does indeed strike again, as soon as she sees her first strike had no
effect. She turns on her left foot, to move her other side of her body towards
you. During this, she shifts her grip to her right hand, wielding her weapon
single-handedly for maximum reach, in a sweep towards your abdomen. It's rather
cumbersome, and might not do much damage if it hits, but it's FAST.
>Tasuki, being as far away as he is, does have a split second or two to prepare
for the attack, pulling an expanded tessen in front of the weapon to block. The
two weapons *ting* as they clash. He tries to swipe the staff out of the way,
and blast her right over her own staff, "Lekka shien!"
>Katt doesn't have much chance against the block; it was a quick counter to
begin with anyway. Katt may be a strong girl, but through leverage alone you
easily knock the staff out of the way. That flam attack, though, is a little
harder to deal with. This might be a bit of a problem if Katt hadn't dropped
down and to the side; even so, the flames rake across her shoulder and upper
arms, (ruining her jacket!) leaving some burns. Owie! Not one to be twarted so
easily, she jabs her right foot at your shin - and keep in mind, she has clawed
toes.
>Tasuki tries to strafe to the right quickly, but stumbles, getting caught hard
in the shin, your claws just digging farther as he falls on his side. It tears
through his nice new clothes, too. What a fashion disaster. However, he tries
to hook your right leg with his left, and perhaps put a bit of pressure on it,
maybe pull one of your muscles. Oh yeah, also helps to get those nails out of
his other leg, too. c.c;
>Katt has strong muscles, especially for her small frame. Luckily for you, her
feet claws aren't too dangerous in this form, and your twisting easily frees
you, although the damage has been done. Forgot her little staff, though... or,
at least, she's hoping so as she whirls it towards your back. She's off-balance
though, this might not be as successful as she's hoping.
>Tasuki, being on the ground, has little chance to escape, but he does have a
chance to lessen the impac. He pushes off the ground, getting hit by the shaft
of the staff, rather than the clawed head. He stands after the staff hits,
swiping at your leading arm with his folded tessen. As it closes in, you note
that it isn't really iron...more like DIAMOND! o.o Pretty dangerous, huh?
>Katt pulls back with her arm, but the same physics that work to her advantage
work against her here; she doesn't move her arm nearly fast enough before the
tessen makes a nice cut across its inner surface. Ouch. Well, no crying over
spilled milk; Katt retaliates with a quick jab with her knee, towards your
abdomen.
>Tasuki brings his arms down to block the hit, he's obviously a bit more into
the fight now. He spins around your knee and begins to rapidly jab at your face
with his tessen, about five times. The hits are widely spread, making them a
bit harder to dodge, but not impossible.
>Katt smiles, just a moment, as you begin your attack. Hmm? Ah, that's why...
another twist of the wrist, and she moves the shaft of her staff to intercept
the jabs, almost faster then the human eye can follow. It seems to have worked,
in the blocking part, but the first two strike bang painfully against the
shaft, causing her to move her other hand up to reinforce her grip.
>Tasuki continues to thrust his tessen at your face, but then draws his right
hand low and attempts to punch you hard in the gut, while you're distracted
with his face. And to make matters worse, as the low attack comes in, he draws
his left hand back, expanding the tessen. "Lekka shien!" He points the blades
of the fan towards you, and the short ranged blast of flame comes towards you.
Of course, it's going to hit him somewhat if he hits you at so close a range,
but not as bad as it'd hit you. n.-
>Dammit, you managed to get a tactical advantage! If Katt is on speaking terms
with you tomorrow, she won't be thrilled with this little situation. Not having
much to defend with against the incoming jab, she takes it right in the gut.
Her muscles are quite toned... you know you did some damage, but perhaps not as
much as you were first expecting. As she sees the tessen expanding, however,
she jabs forward with her arms, using the shaft of her staff in a jab towards
your face, perhaps to literally knock the 'shein' right out of your mouth, hmm?
With luck, she'll strike before you finish; if not, it's a Katt-B-Q.
>Tasuki does manage to get the 'shien' out, of course, that's after he blocks
the staff again, with his tessen, causing it to rise above his head. Of course,
that sends the flames shooting towards whatever low flying plane may be up
ahead. Instead, he tries to draw his right foot into your side, while your
guard is very much 'up.'
>Katt raises her own left leg, using her thigh to intercept your shin... its a
tradeoff, but your strike isn't near as good after the block. One thing about
Katt, she's master at counters. Like this one she's trying now... blocked the
staff with an opened tessen? Well then, she thrusts downwards with both hands,
dragging the shaft of the staff along the underside of the tessen, and with
luck, along your forearm and into your abdomen.
>Tasuki, of course, is a master of reversals. But no one has really had the edge
in this fight. He folds the tessen, causing your staff to drop a little faster
than you probably expected it to. It scratches his forearm up a bit, but he
does manage to tilt his abdomen out of the way of those nasty claws. He's very
protective of his torso, it seems. He actually tries to smack your leading hand
with his tessen, perhaps to screw up your grip a bit. He quirps, "This is fun.."
>Katt still has the smirk on her face. Inwardly, she's seething; how DARE you
fight her to a standstill! ERRGH! She replies, surprisingly cheerfully
considering she's injured, "You bet". Then she jabs forward with one hand, even
as you move to strike with the tessen; the end result being her attempted jab
being diverted towards your waist or thigh, rather then your side.
>Tasuki puts pressure on the tessen, actually moving the hit down to his thigh.
Of course, the low attack leaves your face fairly open, and he draws his right
leg back, and then up and forward, at a roundhouse kick right towards your left
temple. Hard fighting a lefty, ne? o.o;
>Perhaps. But with a polearm, in the hands of a skilled user like Katt, some of
that advantage is removed. Notably, this little weapon of her has two ends to
use, and she does so, swinging her staff around as soon as she hits. It's
cumbersome though, but just enough to push your foot into a missing trajectory.
>Tasuki draws his right foot away, pulling it back down underneath him as he
snaps a left kick at your right knee, trying to knock you off balance. The
wound on his leg bleeds as the muscle is contracted, but he doesn't notice it.
You *did* injure him, though. Still an extremity, but nonetheless.
>Katt takes this opportunity to get out of your immediate range, arching her
back, and going into some sort of roll, pushing off with her feet, tucking her
knees, and vaulting backwards over her head. Seeing as how there's no longer a
target there, your attack misses. On the other hand, she's also out of
immediate attack ranger herself.
>Tasuki, does of course, have a range far greater than you could hope for short
of supernatural ability, "Lekka shien!" He raises the staff overhead as he
dashes forward, swiping down and away from his body, causing a rather large arc
of flame to come towards you. And to make matters worse, he ducks into a slide
tackle, in hopes of preventing you from crouching underneath the flame.
>Katt once again uses her staff to vault upwards. This doesn't go entirely
according to plan... her hands are well within the flaming arc, although her
gloves keep the worst of it away (ouch!). As if that wasn't enough, your
sliding tackle crashes right into the end of her staff; no harm done to you,
but she collapses out of the air, right on to you, with a 'meep'. Guess she's
really 'fallen' for you, eh? *cough*
>An audience member...screams!
>Tasuki catches you with an oof...well, more like, intercepts you from the
ground. Nonetheless, he does break your fall. He smirks a bit, "Looks like I
win, huh?"
>Katt scowls down at you. "Who says that? I'm the one on top." She beans you on
the head with her staff.
>Tasuki returns the favor with a tessen slap. o.o
>Katt oofs '>.o'
>Tasuki biidaaaahs! n.n ...of course, the itty bitty lump on his head goes
unnoticed by both. It's itty-bitty, though.
>Mmm-hmm. Sure. Katt crosses her arms, still twirling her staff in her hand. She
doesn't seem to be moving any time soon.
>Tasuki folds his arms behind his head and grins fangedly. n.n
>Katt bops Tasuki again, before leaping to her feet. "See? I'm not as useless as
you thought, hmm?" And she was holding back as well... don't want to kill you,
after all. Of course, you were doing the same.
>Tasuki hops to his feet, holstering his tessen. "I never said you were useless.
Just not as useful as me. n.n"
>Katt whaps you again. 'o.='
>Tasuki mutters, "That hurts, y'know. u.-"
>Katt says, in an even tone, "Yes. I know."
>Katt smiles innocently
>Tasuki takes a step closer, "So, what now...?"
>Katt rubs the bridge of her nose. "... We still have to find some way to get to
Miaka."
>Tasuki says, "But...first, uh?" He gives her a rather stupid, yet thoughtful
look. o.o;
>Katt paces back and forth, her tail swishing. "Need to find a wizard, or
someone... Maybe Nina, but she isn't here..." She sighs.
>Tasuki bites his lip...u.u
>Katt grrs, quite audibly. "Darn it, I hate villains that don't stay put!"
>Tasuki snaps his fingers! "Cait Sith! He's the one who said that me and you
would make a per...he's the one who said he could locate Miaka! But we have to
find him.."
>Katt turns to Tasuki. "A what?" She shakes her head, then continues, "Do you
know where he lives?"
>Tasuki nods, "We share a room in the hotel down the street...he's probably
sleeping." He avoids answering your first question, of course.
>Katt notices that, but doesn't press the issue. Even if she does get
suspicious. "Well, when he wakes up, we're in business!"
>Tasuki nods a bit, "Katt, uh, if you were trapped in a mountain cave with
someone, who would it be? o.o;"
>Katt peers at Tasuki. "What kinda question is THAT?"
>Tasuki says, "A smart one."
>Katt squints at Tasuki now. Speaking of suspicious... "Seems rather odd to be
asking."
>Tasuki shrugs, folding his arms, "Just answer it."
>Katt's attitude changes abruptly, switching to anger (neko wrath?), like
before. Just as immediately, she weakens, and looks at the pavement, becoming
rather quiet in actions. "..." After pondering for a moment, she inhales, and
replies, "... My mother."
>Tasuki says, "..." He eh-hehs, and nod-nods, "I wouldn't choose my mom. c.c"
>Katt continues. "I... just didn't know her. Both my folks died when I was a
kid."
>Tasuki eh-hehs, "Mothers are dangerous..."
>Katt looks up, roused a bit from her reverie. "Eh?"
>Tasuki says, "...don't tell anyone this."
>Katt listens? 'o.o'
>Tasuki says, "...when I was a kid, I was almost crushed by my mom's gigantic
breasts..." He mutters, "...s'why I don't like milk." He shudders, "I feel like
I'm gonna be crushed or something. -.-"
>Katt pikus. And stares. This goes on for a minute or two. If she has any
comments, she keeps them to herself, in a remarkably uncharacteristic turn of
events. 'O.o';
>Tasuki whistles. c.c;
>Tasuki says, "..."
>Tasuki idly spins in place, waiting for you to interject with some sort of
words of wisdom. Of course, anything would do at the moment.
>Katt gets a twitch in her eyebrow. "You... don't have anything to worry about
here." 'n.n' 'O.O'
>Tasuki looks at Katt funny, "What do you mean by that? o.O"
>And if you hadn't noticed, Tasuki's wounds are healing up as we speak. o.o
>Katt does not elaborate on her point. And she wasn't paying much attention, no.
Katt's wounds, however, don't seem to be healing at the same rate... luckily,
they're mostly superficial, but that shoulder burn stings.
>Tasuki reiterates, "What do you mean?"
>Katt whaps you with her staff. Again. This is getting to be a habit. "The last
thing ~you'll~ have to worry about is being crushed by my breasts."
>Tasuki rubs his forehead. Thank gods the previous wounds had healed. He then
nods, "They're not that big, anyways."
>Well, lets replace those wounds, eh? 'o.o' *WHAMWHAMWHAMWHAM* Once you're
twitching on the pavement, Katt walks off, rubbing her temples. (Player needs
sleep after all...)
>Tasuki yells after, "What'd I say!? ...ooowww...." @.@
