Main Room
This is a sizable and comfy room of a relatively small cafe on the corner of
Thor East and Tyr. Tables are lined about neatly in an L coordination about a
likely L-shaped counter, where foot stools are placed for extra seating.
Behind the counter, a large cutout in the wall allows communication between the
registreers and the cooks, and the waitress or waiter on duty moves back and
forth from this room to the kitchen through a wooden door placed to the side of
it. Set into the northeastern corner, are two public payphones, the restrooms,
and some stairs, apparently leading up to an apartment above. There is little
to know decoration of the mostly wood-furnished structure, and what there is
seems to be following a 50s theme. With a few nostalgic objects of yore, most
notably a jukebox. (Use 'menu' and 'order' to order things.)

>Tasuki slips into the room and gives a friendly, "YO, KATT?!"
>Katt blinks, sitting up, apparently unexpecting such a welcome, despite the
fact we don't actually meet anywhere else. "Any luck tracking that guy down?"
>Tasuki says, "...not a f***ing bit." He rolls his eyes.
>Katt crosses her arms, uttering a string of obscenities. "Well, *thats* just
great."
>Tasuki peers at you, then grins fangedly, "Women aren't supposed to say words
like f***, or $#!%, y'know."
>Katt peers back. "I'll say 'em if I want to say 'em."
>Tasuki shrugs a bit, then slides into the seat accross from you, "You have
dinner yet?"
>Katt nods. "Fish." From the lake in the park 'c.c';
>Tasuki leans back in his seat, folding his arms behind his head, "Well, I
picked up this thing called the tea-leaf one, and after a while, it started to
make a funny noise. When I picked it up, it asked me what I wanted, and I told
the tea-leaf one I wanted food and sake. n.n It was sooooo cool." He nods a
bit, to himself mostly, "...and then, all these people came in with the food
and sake."
>Katt taps her chin, looking up at the ceiling. "Tea-leaf?"
>Tasuki shakes his head. "The tea-leaf one. But they spelled it funny." He grabs
a napkin and pulls a pen out of his pocket, (labeled Tyr Hotel, of course.) and
writes 'telephone' on the napkin.
>Katt hmms. "Go figure. For free and everything?"
>Tasuki shrugs, "They said it was gonna be 'charged,' so I told them that was
all right, and I ran a couple laps around the city... I think I saw you
earlier. n.n"
>Tasuki rubs his neck a bit, then flicks back his hair. He offers a clueless
shrug, "I think I'm charged up enough."
>Katt keeps tapping her chin. "How unusual."
>Tasuki shrugs a bit, "I didn't mind, I probably could have used the
exercise...haven't ran much in a while."
>Katt nods. "Yes, you're certainly starting to get flabby." '-.-' She says
that with all dire seriousness, making it hard to tell if she's trying to tweak
you or not.
>Tasuki shakes his head, "I don't have an ounce of fat on me, while you have all
that on your upper-body." Bluntness is a state of existence.
>Katt peers at Tasuki. Scanning for bashable offenses. Unclear. She lets it
slide, but doesn't offer a reply 'o.='
>Tasuki sticks his tongue out! Nyaaa! :p He then pauses to add a 'serious'
comment, "At least they're kinda firm'r'somethin'. o.o"
>Katt tries to resist whapping you. It's really hard to do, actually. "I'll take
that as a complement, because I'm in a good mood." '-.-';
>Tasuki sinks a bit in his seat, almost as low as your head is at the table.
(ooc ;p) "Oh really...? So, did you get married to Arin? Or some other guy?"
>Katt blinks. "WHAT!? I ain't getting married! And certainly not to him!"
'>.<' Urge to bash... rising...
>Tasuki slides back up, sitting upright, as to look at you a bit better, "So,
you gonna latch onto Arin or die an old maid?"
>Those head wounds you gave him a couple nights ago...they either popped
something into or out of place. o.o
>Well, maybe these new head wounds will put it back into place, hmm? Hope you
have enough sense to duck. "GRRRRRR!!!!
>Tasuki blocks the staff with his hand, and after a moment or two flinches! >.<
"That hurts." Well, you're not going to knock whatever it is into or out of
place, right? Now you see why he blocks with his tessen.
>Katt slings the weapon of much ka-powies over her shoulder again. "NO, I am NOT
going to latch onto ANYBODY."
>Tasuki *pops* into an SD form, rubbing his wrist. ;.; He then turns back to
normal, while you aren't watching, putting on a pseudoserious look, "So why are
you in such a good mood?"
>Katt doesn't seem to be in a good mood anymore, if it matters. "Because I
finally have something USEFUL to do, save your friend! You don't know how
boring it is just to walk around town when you're used to beating up monsters
for a living..."
>Tasuki shakes his head, "Beating on me isn't goin to save Miaka, you know."
>Katt quips, "That's just a pastime."
>Tasuki shakes his head, "This is no time for fun and games! We have to be
serious!" ...and he bursts out in laughter, all of a sudden.
>Katt blinks, and can't help but snicker a moment. What she says next is
mentioned in all seriousness, however. "But... what can we do if we don't even
know where that jerk took her...?"
>Tasuki stops laughing as if he was controlled by remote and peers at her, "What
did you find so funny?"
>Katt peers at you. "You! Why'd you just break out laughing like that?"
>Tasuki grins, "I was thinking about how you had to swing 'up' to hit my in the
face. n.n"
>Katt swings 'down' this time. '-.-'
>Tasuki blocks with the metal end of a pepper shaker. Which of course, causes
pepper to fly through the air... *ah-choo!*
>Katt leans back to avoid the sniffle-inducing cloud 'o.='
>Tasuki sneezes...which sends the cloud over to you. o.o
>Katt gets a cute, if probably very annoying look on her face as half of her
facial muscles tense up into odd positions, and her eyes water. Doesn't sneeze,
though.
>Tasuki peers at her a second, then pulls out a disposable camera, snapping a
photo. He must be familiar with that, at least. n.n
>Tasuki of course adds insult to injury...er, flash to weird facial
contortion--you get the analogy.

>Tasuki grabs a napkin and wipes the entire camera off then. As well as himself.

Midgaard Mall : Level 1
You step into the air conditioned mall, and take a look around. Plastic plants
decorate the first level of the mall, with a sparkling fountain at the center
of the room. The walls are white brick, the floor white marble. Near the
fountain is an up escalator while behind you are the doors leading back out. To
one side is another store with the words "Stacy's" written on the window before
it. It appears to be a rather large clothing store. On the second level of the
mall is the food court.

>Katt smiles. "Now THIS I like."
>Tasuki looks down at the steps, muttering, "These things are *sooooo* cool."

Midgaard Mall : Level 2
You step into the air conditioned mall, and take a look around. Plastic plants
decorate the first level of the mall, with a few jewelry vendors at the center
of the room. The walls are white brick, the floor white marble. Near the center
of the hall is a down escalator. Around the rest of the second level of the
mall are several stores, among those is the 'Fancy Feet' shoe store, and
another well known store, 'Books -N- Things' where they sell ..books, and
assorted things. Towards the east, further down the hall you hear the sounds
of laughing and games being played.

>Tasuki says, "Oh well, let's find the photo place!" He starts to walk to the
east side of the mall.

Midgaard Mall : Level 2 - East Hall
You step into the air conditioned mall, and take a look around. Plastic plants
decorate the first level of the mall, with a few jewelry vendors at the center
of the room. The walls are white brick, the floor white marble. Near the center
of the hall is a down escalator. Around the rest of the second level of the
mall are several stores, however the one that stands out the most is the
arcade/gaming store, with lights flashing brightly in front of you.

here." He turns around, and walks the other way, then stops, waiting for you to

flashing lights... ARCADE! "Wow! Never seen one of THOSE before!"
>Tasuki uses all his logical reasoning to explain, "It's just a light show,
let's go."
>Katt hmmphs, commenting, "Fine, fine, but we'll come back here AFTER the photo
place."

You step into the air conditioned mall, and take a look around. Plastic plants
decorate the first level of the mall, with a few jewelry vendors at the center
of the room. The walls are white brick, the floor white marble. Near the center
of the hall is a down escalator. Around the rest of the third level of the
mall are several different stores selling food, and restaurants alike
specializing in various types of food.

>Tasuki ooos at the store with the big red canopy. "Let's go! n.n"

>Tasuki run-walks into the photo store, trying not to look too excited...no
matter how much he is. He turns the camera over to the clerk, who explains the
photos will (as usual) take an hour to develop. Tasuki looks over at Katt,
"Well...where to now?"
>Katt waited outside with her arms crossed, after getting bored with the store
in a good 7.2 seconds. "What's a photo, anyway?"
>Tasuki grins a bit, "You'll find out." n.n
>Katt hmms at that. "Now what?"
>Tasuki looks around the level a bit, then spots one store...*.* He slowly walks
over to the jewelry store, peering in the window. He then turns and yells to
Katt, "C'mon!"
>Katt jogs over, getting a rather similar look on her face when she spots the
wares '*.*'
>Tasuki heads into the jewelry store.

Jewels 'R' Us
Ooh, so many sparklies for you to look at but not touch! Most of them look
incredibly expensive, but there are a few fairly cheap items for sale. The
sales staff eye you warily as you enter, with an almost stuffy, superior air.
Their noses couldn't be any higher even if they got caught on a fishhook and
yanked upwards. A rich royal carpet and pale yellow walls decorate this room,
while the rest of your attention is drawn to the various pretty sparklies held
in glass cases. At the center of the room is a rather large, heart shaped
emerald with the sign: "Not for sale" hanging over it. A note over the counter
by the cashier reads, '"We do Estimations and Customizations."

shopkeeps yell at her.

>Katt shrugs at Tasuki. "I think it has to do with old fat people dressed in
red." 'o.o'
>Tasuki hrms, getting a mental image. >.< "...Katt-chan? Could you buy me
something from here? I don't have any money."
>Katt peers at Tasuki. "I don't have any money either. Why do you think I was
eating fish?"
>Tasuki shrugs a bit, "Because you bought them? o.o"
>Katt sweatdrops.
>Tasuki stands, "Oh well, I won't be able to buy anything here for a while
anyways..." He walks towards the exit. . o O (Have to steal something later...)
"...you all set to go? n.n"
>Katt shrugs to Tasuki, keeping her eyes on a rather large diamond ring. She
probably has the same idea you do. "Yeah."
>Tasuki follows your gaze for a second, "Wait outside a sec, okay? I wanna check
on something."
>Katt rubs the bridge of her nose, and shrugs. Something's up, but... eh. She
steps outside and waits. Not patiently, mind you.
>After a bit of swearing, a few arguments, and a lekka shien, followed by a bit
of laughter, Tasuki steps out. n.n

>Katt puts her hands on her hips. Hopefully, mall security will be delayed by
the sprinklers. Being a rather curious sort, she holds out her hands, but she
does peek.
>The sprinklers aren't on. You heard a lekka shien, but there was no large burst
of flame.
>Tasuki swipes his hand over yours incredibly quickly, and you feel something
very small, although a bit heavy plop into your open hands.
>Katt hmms.
>And of course, it's the diamond ring you were looking at earlier. When you look
up at Tasuki, he's grinning quite a bit.
>Katt peeks down into her hand, then suddenly goes wide-eyed in shock. "Did
you...?"
>Tasuki shakes his head, still grinning, "The guy's a raging alcoholic, I heated
up some sake for him and he gave me a great deal. n.n"
>Katt hrmms 'o.=' It's pretty obvious she doesn't buy it, but she isn't
stupid enough to actually ARGUE, mind you. Beaming, she says, "Thanks!"
>Tasuki shrugs a bit, and pulls out his bottle of sake, taking an idle sip out
of it. Of course, that 'idle sip' doesn't constitute much. He mutters, "Bad
deal, actually...he drank it all. -.o"
>Tasuki holds the still-hot sake bottle out to you.
>Katt is too busy looking at her new toy to notice '^^'
>Tasuki shrugs, "Hope ya like it." He tosses the sake bottle over his shoulder.
>"AAAAAAH! MY FACE!!!!"

>Tasuki hands Diamond ring to Katt.

>Tasuki grins once more, "I hope ya like it." He then turns and heads to the
photo-store.
>Katt follows, not really paying attention to what you're saying.
>Tasuki oooos as he grabs the envelope of photos, and tears it open, pulling out
about 12 in a neat stack. He flips through them. About half look like pictures
of him accidentally taking pictures of himself. o.o
>Katt watches you flip through 'em. "Oooh, I get it, little paintings! But
why're they all of you looking stupid?"
>Tasuki shrugs, "I didn't know how to use the thing. n.n;" The camera-man
mutters something. c.c
>Note, there are two pictures of Katt in there. One, where she is about to
sneeze, the other she is standing by herself, just waiting around boredly. Gee,
has Tasuki been stalking you? There's also a picture of Amelia doing a justice
pose, and Nuriko about to punch the person using the camera.
>Katt doesn't know who Ameria is, so she doesn't bother. As for the pictures of
her, her mind isn't entirely focused, but you'll probably hear about it in a
few days 'c.c'

Arcade
The sound of electronic game music greets your ears, in addition to the sound
of shouting from the back of the room at the virtual and non-virtual tournament
competitions, hosted by various game designers and the like. The room is fairly
well lighted, though not as bright as it could be to avoid putting a glare on
the arcade screens. Several genre of games are here, from the newest RPG's, to
educational games for the kids, to violent, gory, godless (bleh) fighting games
for the those who have nothing better to do with their time than to scream at
game character and beat things senseless. There is a space away from the arcade
section where the game sellers are offering various game systems, cartridges,
and controllers for sale or rent.

seem to have fun.
>Katt finally notices the quarter slot. Too bad she doesn't have any quarters.

>Tasuki mutters. -.-
>Katt rummages through her possessions, finally pulling a quarter out. From
-where- is in question. Popping it into one of the recent fighting games, she
proceeds to greatly enjoy herself, for about 30 seconds, when she gets beaten.
This, of course, prompts her to pull out her staff. Might wanna stop her, these
things look expensive.
>Tasuki waves to Katt, "Hey, don't break that! It's probably worth a million
gold coins!"
>Katt stops with a screeching halt, jeeest before causing major property damage.
A few of the gamers next to her back away, though. "Oh. Probably have a point
there."
>Tasuki nods a bit, "Have your fun..." He leans against a broken game, and
begins to nap. z.z
>Katt pleads, "But that was my last quarter!"
>Tasuki asks through closed eyes, "What's a quarter?"
>Katt goes to hold one up as an example, then realizes she doesn't have any.
"It's local currency."
>Tasuki shakes his head once more, "Don't got any. z.z"
>Katt mumbles to herself, but doesn't press the issue. "Now what?"
>Tasuki asks, "What do you wanna do...?"
>Tasuki hrms, "Wanna go to my hotel room and play with the tea-leaf one?"
>Katt shrugs. "Dunno... Maybe there's something else interesting in here!"

>Katt peers at a CD through the shop window. "Well, it's circular and shiny."
>Tasuki glances over at the CD, then shakes his head in disdain, "Too big to be
jewelry."
>Katt shrugs to Tasuki. "Seems kinda pointless."
>Tasuki says, "I'm headin' back to my hotel..." He walks towards the exit,
"Gonna play with the tea-leaf phone some more, and then prob'bly get some
sleep."
>Katt nods to Tasuki. "Well... it was a waste of time, but it's better then
sitting around being depressed. I guess."
>Tasuki asks, "Oh...?" He looks over at her, "Where's your ring?"
>Katt holds her hand up. On her finger '^^' A bit loose though 'o.o'
>Let's weld it tighter! LEKKA SHIEN!! *.*
>Tasuki grins a bit, "It...uh, matches your fur nicely. n.n"
>Katt smiles. "Thanks."
>The jewelry store owner drunkenly stumbles down the escalator, singing, "How
brown I am..."
>Katt doesn't seem to care 'n.n'
>Tasuki waves to his beer-buddy n.n
>The man collapses face-first into a dusty old fern. c.c
>Not Katt's problem 'n.n'
>Tasuki says, "Ne, Katt, I bet Arin wouldn't get you a nice ring like that. n.n"
>Katt's smile suddenly disappears as she looks over at you. "You're STILL
jealous?"
>Tasuki blinks, and shakes his head, "Nah, I know you don't wanna go out with
my, so why bother, right? I gotcha the ring 'cuz you're my friend." He mutters
something else, then rubs his nose.
>Katt peers at you. "I haven't gone out with HIM either!" . o O ( Or Ryu... )
>Tasuki shrugs, managing to say all this while maintaining a fairly happy
expression, "But he's more your type, anyways. Not the big macho bandit who's
too cool for words and stuff, and likes to fight more than he likes sleep. n.n"
>Katt peers at you yet again. "Boy, you don't got a clue, don't you?" Her tone
was half-joking, but she certainly doesn't elaborate on that point as she heads
for the door.
>Tasuki hrms, "A clue..? o.o"
>Tasuki shakes his head and shrugs, "You're going to give me one, right? o.o"
>Katt opens the door to step outside, before turning to face Tasuki. "He's a
nice guy, and he may like me, but I'm not... romantically inclined with him,
follow?" Keep in mind she's only doing this because of the jewelry you got her.
She also managed to stow that photo, and if you're nice, she'll show you where
'c.c'
>Tasuki scratches his forehead a bit, thinking it through. Obviously,
relationships aren't as much a skill to him as fighting, "...oh. n.n;"
>Katt, regardless of your response to that, steps outside.

You head out to the street.
Intersection: Thor/Sif
The contrast here is quite startling. East to west are the quiet abodes of
humble middle-class workers and families. To the north and south, bustling
activity from upstart businesses, novelty shops, and various odds and ends. It
makes for an odd situation..traffic on Thor street here is almost nill..but
watch out when crossing Sif. Some of these people are maniacs.

Fenris Park
A large expanse of open land unfolds before you..one that is covered in a soft,
well manacured carpet of an unbelievable emerald green grass. To the southeast
of you, the level land slopes downward to the small sandy beach of a pristine
mountain lake..children playing about on the shoreline..fish leaping out of the
water. The park is borered by a thick line of trees to keep visitors from
straying too far out of boundaries..though a few are still kept within to
provide shade, and perhaps a good amount of exercise climbing within their

>Tasuki breaks his stealthy tracking by asking, "Where are we?"
>Katt walks over to a bench, sitting, then lying down with a sigh. Replying to
the question, "The park, apparently."
>Tasuki gazes around, then looks down at her. He blinks, asking, "...is this
where you live?"
>Katt nods. "Mmm-hmm. Well... not here, over in the forested part."
>Tasuki shakes his head, "C'mon, you can stay with me and Cait at the Tyr
Hotel..."
>Tasuki grins a bit, "The beds there are real comfy! n.n I'd sleep all day if it
didn't interrupt with my brawling schedule."
>Katt sits up. "Well, Ryu has a tent and all..." She isn't really aware that
this probably won't get the best reaction. "And he's the only one who can
fish." She ponders this a moment. "It's getting a little cold recently,
though..."
>Tasuki says, "Ne, who's Ryu?" He looks at her for a second, and then shrugs. He
decides to lead the way once again, walking towards the edge of the park.
"Let's go. n.n"
>Katt hops off the bench. "He's... an old friend. The guy who almost beat me."
>Tasuki nods a bit, "I beatcha, too. So that makes me better than him, huh? n.n
Well, you coming?"
>Katt prepares to give you a whack. Better duck. "Hmmph."
>Tasuki gets whacked in the head, and his head blows up! ...about three times
the size it normally is, "WOULD YOU STOP ABUSING MY SKULL LIKE THAT?!!?!"
Tasuki, is of course, snapping at you. ;p
>Katt doesn't even flinch. She does quip, "Okay. I'll hit you in the crotch next
time." '=.-'
>Tasuki rolls on his heels, "Well, are you coming or not? -.o"
>Katt nods, and follows.
>Katt believes she's made her point 'n.n'
>You fall in line behind Tasuki.

The service in this fancy downtown hotel is topnotch, which is why it's so
pricey. Room service, indoor pool, cable television, roof lounging..aaah, to
live here would be the life. Bare in mind, however, that all this doesn't come
cheap. To actually -live- here would quickly drain the average citizen of
their life's savings..that's why this is only for travellers in for a short
stay, and who don't want to stay in some flimzy motel.. (And who can afford the
accomidations). The clerk at the front desk looks at you impatiently, as
though this place is busy.

>Tasuki walks through the main room of one hotel room, and into the guest room.
He points out, "Cait Sith sleeps in there."
>Katt nods, looking around.
>The room is very well taken care of, surprisingly enough, considering Tasuki
lives in it. Let's not forget, though. (Housekeeping!)
>Tasuki takes his belt off, followed by the long green sash, and finally his
gray vest. He then takes the long brown shirt off, wearing a white muscle-shirt
underneath. "Well, I'm goin' to hit the hay. Use the tea-leaf one if you want,
I'm a heavy sleeper. n.n"
>Tasuki points out the telephone, "Right there. Just wait a while, and they'll
ask you what you want. n.n"
>Katt nods, staring at the device . o O ( Well... Ryu won't mind if I stay
here once. )
>Tasuki hops onto the bed, which is easily big enough for two people without
blanket-wars. c.c Of course, being as warm-blooded as he is, he wouldn't care
anyhow. About two seconds after lying down though...z.z
