City Square
Welcome to the middle of the sleepy (yeah, right), humble mountain city of
Midgaard. The peaks that surround the somewhat smallish sprawl of
constructions about you appear a vibrant, cool purple at this distance..capped
with off-white snow at the tops. Although the town itself recieves little
precipitation from being sheltered by this atol of sheer rock, a cold wind does
comb and filter its way through..providing a brisk, though arid, atmosphere.
On the southwestern pointing end of town, a small, manmade pass in the
mountain valley allows for easy access from the bustling world outside. To
your north and west are the commercial districts..manufacturing, shipping, and
selling various consumable goods. In the east, to the 'horizon', appear to be
homes of various architectural influences..the more wealthy of said houses
bordering a small alpine lake and park. To the south, the middle-class homes
continue, thinning out just before the open gap to the highway beyond.
As for where you stand..it is the Midgaard City Square..Several government
offices and the larger buildings can be found on the sides of the slightly
misnomered elliptical, cobblestoned intersection. No actual automobile traffic
passes here, being routed through the side streets..this is a strictly
pedestrian and bicycle zone. A large, granite fountain with a statue of Odin
atop it towers nearly two stories prominantly in the center. There are also
benches about for taking a quiet repose from the hustle of daily life.

>Sailor Uranus staggers over to Yuffie's form, blade still drawn "Touch her and
you all die...."
>Prophet stands atop city hall, looking down at the scene below...
>The three Pagoda warriors glare at the Senshi, their leader, Staniv, clutching
his much woudned arm. "... I don't want any of us to die... just let us take
Yuffie home..."
>l har
Haruka
Standing before you is the lean figure of the outer senshi, Sailor Uranus. She
wears a fuukuu of white with a deep, almost midnight blue skirt and collar
flap. At her chest lies a large, yellow bow. Her hands are covered by white
gloves with trim the same color as her skirt and her heeled boots.
She folds her arms over her chest and stares at you, her stance giving you the
impression that she is not one to be toyed with.
Carrying:
The Pagoda lords
You see a trio of strange warriors, each wearing an obviously oriental outfit
of Japanese descent. In their alternate forms, they appear vastly different.
The one called Shake, for instance, resembles a large penguin with a colorful
crown of feathers on his head, as well as a spiked beaver's tail. Chekhov's
other form is even stranger, resembling some purple floating snake creature.
The last one, the largest, bears the alternate form of a large muscular
creature, wielding a powerful ball and chain. Hrmn... wonder who they are. o.o;
Carrying:
>Sailor Uranus is bruised and bloddy, her mouth dripping from obvious internal
bleeding
>Prophet . o O ( ... Most unexpected. )
>Staniv nods to Chekhov, who turns towards the Senshi. While one of his eyes is
torn open, his other three still glow menacingly... he opens them WIDE and
*stares* at the Sailor Uranus!
>Prophet . o O ( This little scene will make it difficult to see that
weakling... )
>Sailor Uranus doesn't fall for the same trick twice. She slashes wildly,
sending the cresent blades toward the trio in a raining volley
>Staniv lets out a curse. He shoves his allies out of the way, then dives with
them, taking several more gashes along his trunk.
>Sailor Uranus falls over, her body shaking with exhaustion and pain as she
drags herself closer to Yuffie
>Staniv hits the ground, staying down this time. Weakened from blood-loss, he
loses consciousness. On the other hand, Chekhov floats back up into the air as
Shake grits his beak, standing.
>Sailor Uranus reaches out to the body as she falls forward herself, the blade
disappearing from her hand
>Yuffie remains in reach of the Senshi, being in no condition to move. z.z
>Sailor Uranus slaps the dart out of Yuffie's neck as she gasps in pain
>Yuffie stirs slightly. Unfortunately, the movement was only caused out of
slight discomfort, as the drug is still working its way through her system.
Shake lowers his penguin like head, growling low in the back of his throat,
then suddenly LEAPS into the air, following up with a dive at the Senshi. (
Shake's Rage Bomber )
>Sailor Uranus twitches, lying beside Yuffie as all she can do is look up
"Would... you ......risk her?"
>Shake changes directions just before impact, slammiing harshly into the
pavement beside the two. When the dust clears, he stands, glaring angrily at
the Senshi.
>Sailor Uranus grins smugly "Better...". Her breath still raspy as she pokes at
Yuffie to wake her up
>Chekhov returns to his human form, moving to place Staniv on his back. "...
Shake... we failed... face it. We need to get Staniv some medical attention
back at the Compound..."
>Sailor Uranus bites at her own lip to keep herself awake
>Ren has arrived.
>l ren
Ren
A young man appearing roughly 14-15, Ren has unkempt light brown/blonde
hair with a short ponytail tied off in the back. Ren's features are
mainly obscured by the unkempt condition he is usually in, apparently
from alot of time looking out for himself and on the open roads
travelling. His clothing a bit worn from his travels as well, he wears
a pullover tunic of red and brown (picture the old west style poncho)
as well as a short pair of pants that reach halfway down to his knees
and are a bit frayed on the ends. Usually Ren wears a pair of old
boots, given he won't have to leave them behind to improve an escape
attempt as he is usually forced to do, as they do tend to weigh him
down a bit. He also has a loose-fitting belt of sorts with a sheathe
on one side hanging down with a small dagger in it. As for his expression
and manerisms, he seems to attempt an aire of cunning and security in
his trade as a bandit, though it's rather obvious he's still got quite
a bit to learn. He as well usually has a caniving grin which really
might worry you as to what he was thinking or that he's up to no good.
Carrying:
Midgaard City Map
>Shake, Chekhov, and Staniv all gather up, then turn to leave, grudgingly....
>Prophet watches the scene below from atop city hall...
>Ren walks in on a bunch of people?
>Yuffie remains unconscious throughout the whole thing. x.x
>Sailor Uranus lies weakly on the ground next to Yuffies sleeping form
>Ren looks over at the two downed people and blinks?
>Ren asks, "What in the... ?"
>Remo walks over, and stands beside the two downed people
>The Pagoda lords has left.
>Remo looks down upon them, and thinks
>Prophet watches Yuffie and Uranus from across the street. Wait a minute...
>Ren approaches cautiously... "Hey, what's going on here?"
>Remo says, "don't relly know to much....except that they were fighting....."
>Ren places his hand on his dagger hilt, "Fighting who?"
>Remo says, "some guys.....I guess...they ran off....."
>Sailor Uranus moves her eyes to look to the group standing above her, her
breathing becoming even more shallow as she twitches, fighting to stand
>Remo says, "I didn't catch any names...."
>Ren says, "Some kinda guys... picking on women o.o"
>Ren . o O ( Not even I'M that bad... )
>Ren sighs, "Well, I s'pose we oughtta get em outta the street at least..."
>Remo says, "I know.......i didn't want to butt in.....she seemed to be kicking
his butt....."
>Remo says, "ok..."
>Remo asks, "There's not alot I can do....can you help them?"
>Ren shrugs, "Not too much."
>Ren . o O ( Although I could help you off with that ring, heh heh n.n )
>Ren . o O ( But there'll be time for that later... )
>Ren nudges Yuffie with his foot to see if she's still alive
>Remo says, "well....lets get 'em out of the street...rt"
>Yuffie is alive, just very unconscious.
>Prophet . o O ( This wasn't worth my effort. )
>Ren reaches over and drags her to the sidewalk by her feet
>Sailor Uranus clenches her fists as she pushes herself up slowly, painfully
>Remo helps Uranus to her feet
>Remo says, "lets get you to a bench over there...."
>Sailor Uranus shakes her head as she lurches forward slightly "Iie.... I...
need to.....go...."
>Remo says, "where? I'll help you there if you need it..."
>Ren gets over to one side of Yuffie and then gets down to his knees and patpats
her face, trying to get her to wake up
>Ren says, "Hey you, wake up already."

You walk closer to the fountain.
City Square: Fountain
Nearer to the fountain still, the sound of the softly cascading water overcomes
most any other noise besides the people sitting and chatting. There is a
wrought iron barricade about the actual fountain, though it seems to be more
placed to deter than to prevent climbing in, as anyone of moderate hieght could
easily scale it. The statue of Odin atop the large fountain dwarfs most
everything else in the area..as well the seven trees planted in a circle about
the fountain.
There are benches here as well, though of a marble variety rather than the
wooden ones found farther out in the city square. There also seems to be less
foot traffic here, apparently because of the lack of commerce. All in all, a
serene place to enjoy the evening and perhaps meet with friends for a night on
the town.

>Chrono is sitting here, studying the guy sitting on the Odin Statue wordlessly.
>17 is said guy sitting on the statue, much as he usually is. He doesn't seem to
be in the mood to register anyone's presence, feigning preoccupation with the
sky above.
>Prophet walks in from the city square, his cloak flowing out behind him in the
wind. He speaks up, in his cold, deep voice, "It's been a while."
>Chrono nearly jumps out of his skin so to speak, his head slowly turns to face
the source of that voice, and his mouth slowly arcs into a frown, "...." He
finally speaks after a short pause, barely above a whisper, "...I didn't expect
to see you again.."
>Chrono . o O ( That creepy prophet.. )
>Prophet extends his arm to the side, throwing the cloak over his shoulders. He
reaches up, and pulls back the hood, revealing him for who he truly is. Those
knowledgeable in such things will instantly recognize him as Magus.
>17 draws his knees up and hugs them to himself, propping his chin on top of
them as he watches the exchange below.
>Chrono slowly stands, the frown growing into a knowing smirk, "... ..so..it
seems..I'm not the only one that ended up here.."
>Magus narrows his eyes as he adjusts the fit of his right glove. "...
Apparently not. And while I would enjoy running you through, weakling, there are more
important things at hand..."
>17 . o O ( In other words, 'You have a sword, and might kick my wimpy butt so
I'll let you live'...His type are all the same. )
>Chrono glances off to the side for a moment, then back at Magus, a determined
look about him. He doesn't seem to have an outward malice at the moment,
however, "..oh? ..." He crosses his arms patiently, "...please explain,
Magus.."
>Akio has connected.
>Magus stares imperiously at the red-haired swordsman. "This is not the place to
speak of such things..."
>Chrono shrugs his shoulders a little, "..if you say so.. ..have another in
mind...? ..or are you going to leave me in the dark.."
>Magus says, in a deep voice, "Of course."
>Chrono looks off to himself for a moment at a thought. o O ( If he's here..and
I'm here.. )
>Magus turns to walk off. Whether Chrono follows or not doesn't matter.
>Chrono looks reluctant, sparing a glance to the man still on the statue, and
who was watching. With a bit more hesitation, he just shakes his head, and
moves to follow.
** Boring walk thing cut **
Bridge: Sif-to-Tyr
This bridge pitches a little in the soft, chill breeze that seems to be
continuously blowing in from the mountains above. Though the rocking is very
gentle, and is natural due to the way the bridge across Giant's Gouge is
constructed. Below you, dropping far..far..far below into a large sink hole,
is the aptly named gorge. There are two pedestrian traffic lanes on this
bridge..to ensure things flow smoothely, as well, the sides up the bridge are
covered up to about 10' in hieght on either side with plastic-coated steel
chain-link restraint. Thus, anyone who wanted to fall off the edge would have
to make a pretty good attempt at it.

>Magus arrives, with Chrono following behind.
>Magus strides forward, to the center of the bridge, cloak flowing dramatically
to the side in the strong winds that blow through the gouge. "I see you aren't
entirely worthless."
>Chrono's long ends to his bandana blow as well in said wind, as well as his
generally loose clothes that are set into motion and ripple with the current.
He leans against the fencing, looking out into the chasm, "...noone is
worthless..with hope..." He pauses again, then continues, asking without
beating around the bush, "...what's the threat now..that is so troubling..?"
>Magus turns around to face Chrono, as he levitates several inches off of the
bridge. He crosses his arms, reaching upwards with his gloved right hand to
stroke his chin. "There are at least two groups of supernatural threats, more
than a match for anything you have fought before."
>Chrono closes his eyes, "..I've felt that..that there's something 'wrong'
here..." Opening them again, he looks to you, hardly suprised or startled by
the floating, "..and I suppose you intend to take them on alone.. ..again..?"
>Magus growls deep, a low rumble. "I have already had direct conflict with both
of the groups..." He narrows his eyes, and pauses. "Driving them back, but not
destroying them."
>Chrono turns around, resting with his back against the protective barrier on
the side of the bridge, "..teamwork is vital.. .." He shrugs his shoulders
again, "..I'm willing to help... ..but only if you stop acting so haughty.."
Tall order for Magus.
>Magus looks down at the red-haired warrior. "Haughty? HAUGHTY? I simply speak
the truth."
>Chrono sighs a bit, shaking his head disparingly, "..forget it.." He looks up
again, smirking, "..I'll help you anyway..but only because this is important..
..don't think me your friend or anything.. ..speaking of friends.. .." He rubs
his own chin at that, "..there's perhaps a chance mine might be here..do you
think?"
>Magus continues rubbing his chin with his gloved hand. "Perhaps... Lavos' rape
of the timestream may have sent them here as well..." He pauses. "But don't bet
on it."
>Chrono sighs.. "..we'll finish business here..figure a way to get back..then
that's it.. ..right?"
>Magus says, in his patronizing tone, "Of course."
>Magus . o O ( It should be a simple matter to return after I kill you. )
>Chrono frowns a bit, but doesn't feel like starting a fight, "..we both still
have things to settle with Lavos after all..."
>Magus nods slowly. "..."
>Chrono glances off from whence he came, "..I suppose if that's all..I'll wish
you a good night...though somehow I doubt you appreciate it.." . o O ( I don't
want to have to stay around him longer than I have to. -.-; )
>Magus scoffs loudly. "Running off without even asking who the threats are?
Hmmph."
>Chrono pushes back a few hair spikes of bangs, before they just spring back to
where they were previously, "..I have a feeling I'll meet then sometime soon
reguardless..." He almost seems to speak to you pointedly, "..I seem to have a
way of running into trouble.."
>Magus says, simply, "Very well. We shall see if you are strong enough to stay
alive."
>Magus turns to walk off, this evening's task complete.
>Chrono watches him go..crossing his arms. o O ( Weak? ...well..maybe in
someways... )
