City Square
Welcome to the middle of the sleepy (yeah, right), humble mountain city of
Midgaard. The peaks that surround the somewhat smallish sprawl of
constructions about you appear a vibrant, cool purple at this distance..capped
with off-white snow at the tops. Although the town itself recieves little
precipitation from being sheltered by this atol of sheer rock, a cold wind does
comb and filter its way through..providing a brisk, though arid, atmosphere.
On the southwestern pointing end of town, a small, manmade pass in the
mountain valley allows for easy access from the bustling world outside. To
your north and west are the commercial districts..manufacturing, shipping, and
selling various consumable goods. In the east, to the 'horizon', appear to be
homes of various architectural influences..the more wealthy of said houses
bordering a small alpine lake and park. To the south, the middle-class homes
continue, thinning out just before the open gap to the highway beyond.
As for where you stand..it is the Midgaard City Square..Several government
offices and the larger buildings can be found on the sides of the slightly
misnomered elliptical, cobblestoned intersection. No actual automobile traffic
passes here, being routed through the side streets..this is a strictly
pedestrian and bicycle zone. A large, granite fountain with a statue of Odin
atop it towers nearly two stories prominantly in the center. There are also
benches about for taking a quiet repose from the hustle of daily life.

Gengar
You see a small creature, standing at roughly at 1 1/2 feet in height, and
looks to be only maybe 50 or so pounds in weight. It stands on two feet,
suggesting no quadropedality of any sort, and is furry, it's fur a jet-black
color. It has no head - it's facial features are simply set into it's body. It
has orange, cat-like eyes, with narrow pupils. It has no nose, and another odd
feature it sports is a creepy grin, nearly perpetual on the creature's face.
It's two cat-like ears flick occaisionally, signalling it's general discomfort
in any atmosphere.
Carrying:
>Warez_Datajack steps back a bit from his standing position and eases back into
the bench, grinning moronically at Raptor for no reason.
>Prophet stands on top of city hall, looking down at the goings on below with a
mild interest.

Raisa> Odin Avenue [500]
Raisa> Some of the homes here, unlinke those to the west, appear to have been
erected in rather recent years. Though larger than their elder counterparts,
and containing more modern accomidations, they are no less stylish and do not
detract from the appearance of their neighbours. The contrast might even be
considered healthy. Immediately to the east, a turn north and south and estates
with large mansions bordering it on the eastern edge of the walk mark the end
of Odin Avenue. Also, to your south here, through some wrought iron gating..is
quite oviously a cemetary. It isn't spooky as you think one should be..far from
it..it seems a peaceful, sunny area to be laid to rest.

>Warez_Datajack looks at Zabel a ponderously long time and looks down at his
guitar, cordial smile quickly dropping as he cases him.
>You page, "Somebody knocks on the front door" to Derek and Lyrae.
Raisa> Kazuma-kun hmmms, strolling up. "Weird for a church to be locked
up...it's not that late." He looks up at the building. "Then again, I don't see
any signs for late masses."
>Lyrae pages, "Who's there?" to Derek and you.
>Felicia blinks at Zabel's comment of her outfit...she looks down and asks,
"What's wrong with it?"
>You page, "It's Raisa, Miss Lyrae ^_^" to Derek and Lyrae.
>Lyrae pages, "Raisa! Come in! n.n" to Derek and you.
Raisa> Raisa walks inside as the doors open.
Raisa> Odin Street Church: Sanctuary(#1639RA)
Raisa> The tall stained glass windows of the old building flood the room with a
soft light. Your ears hear every creak and bend as you step across the old
wooden floor. This once joyous place of worship has recently been cleaned,
refurbished, and remodeled into a fine place to live. The floors are dust free,
the pews are in straight lines, and even some of the old wood has been removed
and replaced. Electric lights hanging overhead hum with energy, glowing at
night, thanks to a small white generator located in the corner. A personal
computer is also located in that corner as well, with a sticker on the side
'Property of Skuld'. A portion of the wooden floor is still broken away,
revealing a patch of wild flowers growing in the center of the room. It's a
cute little addition to the quaint atmosphere here.

>Zabel chuckles softly and straps his guitar to his back.. then tucks a gloved
hand into his coat to bring out a cigarette, "Nothing at all, luv... I just
ponder at the justice in you calling me blunt when wearing such a thing." He
grins toothily... popping the cigarette in his mouth and snapping his finger;
the end glowing brightly as it lights.
Raisa> Raisa peeks in. "Ano... hello. How's Miss Yuffie doing?"
Raisa> Derek looks over and watches a moment before raking a hand through his
hair
Raisa> Lyrae quietly says, "Hi Raisa. She's doing ..well she's pretty much the
same.. we're waiting for the others to get back."
Raisa> Lyrae ohs quickly, "I don't know if you two met.. this is Derek Hunter."

Raisa> Raisa takes a seat, sulking. "So ka..." She looks up. "Hello!"
>Felicia looks down again and half smiles. "Well there is no need for me to
cover up anything more."
Raisa> Shinayaka leaves the building, stepping outside.
Raisa> Shinayaka has left.
>Zabel smiles and tilts his head in a faint nod, "Then don't mind me if I
comment on how delicious you look, then... quite a catch for a darkstalker,
eh?" He lowers his hands and tucks them into his pockets... standing with his
legs agape as his large body idly rests and watches you.
Raisa> Derek nods politely, "Heya.." He walks over, "You a friend of Lyrae's?"
Raisa> Raisa smiles. "A little... I'm sorry for being rude and all, but she
plays the best music!" ^_^;
Raisa> Lyrae blinks at Raisa and blushes.
>Felicia glances around the area than walks up closer to him to mutter, "Would
you keep your voice down..."
>Prophet . o O ( ... They might make useful pawns, in time... but little more. )
Raisa> Derek glances over and grins, nodding in agreement, "Can't argue with
that.."
>Zabel cocks an eyebrow in curiousity, his white eyes shining a bit, "Eeh?
Why... you afraid of what these bloody humans'll think?" He nibbles a little
on the end of his cigarette... watching the cat woman.
>Kataki has left.
Raisa> Lyrae ducks her head and smiles, blushing terribly.
>Felicia purrs, "As a matter of fact I do. If you haven't noticed...they out
number us. Besides...I've had enough of them being crule to me because of what
they know about me."

Alys
The young woman standing before you appears calm and quiet, but at the same
time a bit full of herself. Her rock-hard emerald eyes seem alert as she looks
about, sizing everything she sees up to herself. From head to toe, she stands
about 5'8", and doesn't seem to slouch very much, obviously carrying herself a
bit proudly. Her hair hangs just barely over her shoulders, the color of an
almost uniform dark oak. A small band is twined about her forehead, with three
small grey beads resting in the center.
Her dress is not flattering in the least; she wears a long red vest with white
trim along the center and around the bottom, which reaches down further on her
right leg than her left, ending barely above the knee and above the thigh. A
belt holds the vest together at the waist. Underneath the vest, she wears a
black body-suit, which can only be seen on her upper arms, throat, and thighs.
White gloves adorn her hands and forearm; matching boots are one her feet, with
yellow knee braces and solid steel plates.

Raisa> Derek scratches the side of his head as he looks back to Raisa, "So, you
live around here, Raisa?"
>Prophet stands atop city hall, out of view unless you usually look at the tops

Raisa> Raisa smiles weakly. "Hai!"
Raisa> Kigou straightens up, sighing. "... I'll be on the roof if anyone needs
me..." He walks towards the back room, sliding his flute free from his armguard.
Raisa> Lyrae nods at Kigou quietly.
>Alys glances around the area quickly as she arrives, then folds her arms,
watching quietly. She of course gives the cat-girl a few extra glances. o.o;
>Zabel hmphs.. and stands up straight, "Peh... very well then. At the request
of a lady..." He takes a long drag on his cigarette and sorta flicks it out
onto the street; then offers one of his large hands and gives an evil grin,
"The name's Zabel... heavy metal artist and a happy member of the restless
dead."
Raisa> Kigou steps through the small door into the back room of the church.
Raisa> Kigou has left.
Raisa> Derek glances over a moment at Lyrae..
>Felicia takes Zabel's hand and shakes it, "Felicia...nice to meet you."
Raisa> Derek mumbles, "I don't suppose you were out around town last night,
were you?" to Raisa.
Raisa> Derek mumbles, "I ..... suppose ..... ..... out ..... town last night ..

Raisa> Raisa blinks
Raisa> You mumble, "I was just in the cafe... why? o.o" to Derek.
Raisa> Raisa mumbles, "..... ..... just ..... the ..... .. .. .. ..... .. .....

Raisa> Lyrae turns her attention back to the mirror and settles for tying it
into a thin braid.
Raisa> Derek mumbles, "Lyrae can't recall what she did last night, and I found
her in the City Square this morning. I didn't know if you had seen her at all,
maybe sleepwalking?" to Raisa.
Raisa> Derek mumbles, "..... ..... ..... recall what ..... did last ..... ..
and I found her ..... the City ..... ..... ..... .. I didn't know if you .....
..... ..... at all .. maybe ..... .." to Raisa.
Raisa> Raisa shakes her head o.o
>Zabel chuckles softly... looking down at the paw that's nearly as large as his
hand. He then squeezes it and brings it up to kiss her on the paw... ancient
upbringing rubbing off on him, "... mmm, quite a pleasure, Felicia."
Raisa> Derek nods and sighs, "Right.." He crosses his arms as his eyes close..
>Felicia smiles warming. "Well...I'm relieved you aren't hostle. When I sensed
you yesterday...I was afraid you would be."
Raisa> Lyrae turns away and lets her braid swing, bumping against her back as
she strolls back towards the two, "Raisa, you want anything to drink?"
Raisa> Raisa hmms. "That's okay, I'm fine..."
Raisa> Lyrae quietly says, "Okay. It's really nice of you to come by like this;
I mean you didn't even know Yuffie..."
>Alys unfurls a map, and begins to study it, occasionally glancing around to
match the street signs with the map. She also twists and turns the map to
compensate for the direction she's facing. She mumbles a bit grumpily, "I wish
this thing had sites on it..."
>Prophet stands across the street from the rest of you. Wait a minute... where'd
he come from?
>Zabel chuckles softly, "Me? Hostile? I was born and bred by the best in
England, luv... of course I'm higher on the food chain now so only... 'others'
like you deserve such treatment."
>Felicia raises an eyebrow. "Well please be careful...people around here aren't
like others I've ever came across."
Raisa> Derek blinks, "That is kinda nice. Uhm, if you two'd rather talk by
yourselves, I can go busy myself.." ^_^
Raisa> Lyrae blinks at Derek. o O ( Where'd he get that idea from? ) she pikus
and looks at Raisa.
Raisa> Raisa sweatdrops. "No... you were like all worried 'n stuff, and that's
not good. I'm sure she'll be fine" ^^;
Raisa> Lyrae smiles at Raisa, "Hai I agree."
>Zabel nods quietly, "... well, until I see it for my own eyes I'll just enjoy
things like I usually do and play a little rock for the cattle." He pulls back
a bit, "... and it seems I'm getting dreadfully bored now. This town is
dead... heh..."
>Felicia chuckles. "Well...just don't cause to much trouble. Negitive attention
is the last thing any of us need, alright."
Raisa> Derek scratches the back of his head and then reaches back to untie the
thong at the base of his neck as he turns around a moment . o O ( Hmph,
suggesting she gets her hair cut..like I should talk.. )
Raisa> Kigou arrives from the back room.
Raisa> Kigou arrives, with Haruka and Eden following behind.
Raisa> Lyrae walks around the room and pushes open the window
Raisa> Kigou walks in, leading two others along with him. He silently walks
towards the back room.
Raisa> Raisa sits on a pew, looking nervous
Raisa> Kigou leaves the room through the side door.
Raisa> Kigou leaves, with Haruka and Eden following behind him.
Raisa> Derek looks up, shaking his ponytail out before retying it . o O (

and raking his nails along the strings, "Why not? It'll be fun... though if

Raisa> Lyrae pauses as she looks towards Kazuma. "...?" In a quieter voice, she
smiles slightly, "Ano.......hello."
>Felicia raises an eyebrow at his offer. (I've never seen a dark one like him
before....) "Sure...but you have to promise to be good."
Raisa> Shinayaka blinks. "I was sleeping on the roof... Oh... I found someone,
says his name's Kazuma, wants to talk to you about... what?" *scritches his
head*
Raisa> Kazuma-kun says, "Heyo, miss. Ah...I don't think we've formally met.
Yamashiro Kazuma."
Raisa> Kazuma-kun extends a hand. ^_^ "Charmed."
Raisa> Derek blinks, looking at Shin for a moment . o O ( A friend of
Lyrae's..gotta remember that.. )
Raisa> Lyrae tosses her braid over her shoulder, walking towards Kazuma,
"S..Sensou Lyrae." She reaches her hand out and shakes Kazuma's, "Yoroshiku."
Raisa> Lyrae gestures to Derek with her free hand, "This is Derek Hunter," she
then points to Raisa, "And my friend, Raisa."
Raisa> Shinayaka beeeeaaaaaaaaaams. As Lyrae gets near him, though, his
misdemeanor changes long enough to hiss, "Lyrae, there's something about
him...."
Raisa> Lyrae looks at Shinayaka, lowering her voice slightly.
Raisa> Derek nods politely, "Heya.."
Raisa> Lyrae mumbles, "Nani ..... .. .. .. You ..... think he ..... sent .. ..
.." to Shinayaka.
Raisa> Shinayaka shakeshakes his head.
Raisa> Lyrae lets out a soft breath.
Raisa> Shinayaka mumbles, "..... about his ..... ..... .. .. .. familiar ..

Raisa> Kazuma-kun offers his hand to Derek, then to Raisa. "Nice to meet you
two. ^_^"
>Zabel tilts his head... a glowing purple halo glowing atop his head, "Sure
thing, luv... I promise." He gives a large, toothy grin... his guitar
curiously growing horns and cackling to itself.

>Felicia giggles a little. "Fine. Where did you have in mind?"
Raisa> Derek shakes the offered hand firmly, "Same here.."
Raisa> Raisa blushes. "Nice to meet you too..." ^^;
Raisa> Lyrae takes a step to one side as pleasantries are exchanged, looking at
Shinayaka quietly before shifting her gaze to Kazuma, "...ano, what can I do
for you Kazuma?"
Raisa> Kazuma-kun grins. "Actually, I was wondering if what this guy..." He
thumbs over at Shin, "...was saying was true about you being in some sort of
trouble, or if it was some delusion related to his condition...whatever that
is."
Raisa> Shinayaka blinkblinks. "Condition??? What condition?" he says
indignantly.
Raisa> Lyrae arches an eyebrow at the 'condition' and holds her tongue. (not
literally). "Shin-kun, don't."
Raisa> Raisa listens quietly o.o
Raisa> Lyrae waves a hand at Shinayaka, glancing from him to the two behind
her, and back at Kazuma, "Ano, .. that depends. What did Shin-kun say?"
Raisa> Derek blinks and crosses his arms, "She's not in any trouble at the
moment.." . o O ( At least I HOPE not.. )
>Zabel hmms, "Well, I was hoping you could tell me, actually... though I know
of an old, run down shack of a bar up the street..." He smirks a bit and looks
over his shoulder, "... I hope those bloody bastards laugh when I ask for
milk..."
Raisa> Shinayaka sulks,kicking at the floor. "Condition..." he mutters,
sounding very much like a petulant child.
Raisa> Lyrae smiles over at Shinayaka, "Take it easy Shin-kun.."
Bolt kinda sorta isn't here ICly, pay him no mind n.n; (ooc)
Raisa> Kazuma-kun grins at Shin. "Didn't mean anything by it, man. It could be
as simple as a switch to decaf." ^_^ He turns back to Lyrae. "Something about a
fellow looking to involve you in an experiment. From what I heard, it's not
something approved by the National Science Foundation."
Raisa> Kazuma
Raisa> A tall kid, maybe 175 cm, with a lean, wiry build. His hair is dark, and
short. A face with mirthful eyes that contrast a bit with his everpresent
smirk. You'd place him around 18 or 19 years of age.
Raisa> He wears a pair of light brown jeans with a matching vest, and a black
t-shirt. Faded converse high-tops on his feet...fairly normal garb for a young
student in Japan.

>Felicia nods. "The might...that place sounds fine. Lead the way."
Raisa> Lyrae's expression falters slightly as she shakes her head, "It's not.
And at the moment.. I'm safe.." She crosses her arms, "But for how long I have
no idea.. "
Raisa> Lyrae mumbles, "..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... sleepwalking
.. .." to Lyrae.
Raisa> Derek scowls as he listens..
>Prophet . o O ( Perhaps I should follow... even if the undead one is
insufferable. )
>Felicia falls in line behind Raptor.
Raisa> Kazuma-kun hmms, pausing at Lyrae's almost completely inaudible
murmuring. "Glad to hear the first part. Not so keen on the second." He looks
around the place for a moment, as if seeing it for the first time, then says in
general. "Could be worse, though, sounds like. ^_^ Why d'you think you might
not be safe later, though?"
>Raptor leaves north.
Raisa> Derek looks up, "She'll be fine, she's got a lot of friends watching out
for her."
>Prophet slowly turns to look at Alys
Raisa> Lyrae shrugs off her jacket and tosses it to one side.
>Alys traces her finger along the map, then looks down a street, to see where it
leads.
Raisa> Lyrae quietly says, "Hai, but no one saw me leave last night."
>Prophet ignores the girl then...
Raisa> Kazuma-kun places his hands in his pockets, his posture relaxed, as if
discussing the weather. "Glad to hear it! Friends are the best defense against
almost every type of harm."
Raisa> Lyrae nods with a grin, "Haii." She leans against the pew so she can
watch both Derek and Kazuma.
Raisa> Kazuma-kun grins a bit, and continues, "Still, hope you don't mind me
asking. Professional interest, you see. This fellow you're having trouble
with...can you tell me a bit about him?"
Raisa> Lyrae answers idly, "Which fellow? Kataki or dear old dad?"
You depart to the north.
Raisa> Kazuma-kun says, "Both, if you don't mind. Maybe I can help. ^_^"
Raisa> Derek still has his arms crossed.. . o O ( -_- )
Raisa> Lyrae quietly says, "Mmmhm. I don't know what there is to say.. they're
both cold-hearted people who have no sense of ethics."
Raisa> Raisa just listens o.o
Raisa> Shinayaka skritches his head, stretch-bouncing over to Derek.

Raisa> A long tall, lanky humanoid remnant, with pointy ears, black hairs, and
eyes covered by shades. He is wearing a very odd outfit, that almost looks like
spandex.
Raisa> Carrying:
Raisa> Derek blinks, glancing down for a moment, "What?"
Raisa> Kazuma-kun nods. "'Kay. ^_^ I'll have a lil' talk with 'em if I run into
them." He sounds confident that he will do just that. "Try not to worry,
Lyrae-san. It sounds like you have a few people with warmer hearts..." He
blinks at Shinayaka, "...and...a bounce in their step...in your corner." And,
of course, there's one very important fact that I think you may not be aware
of. ^_^
Raisa> Shinayaka peers over at Derek, blinking, poking at his frowning mouth.
Then he beams, giving Derek a hug. o/~ I love you... you love me... we're a...
Raisa> Raisa sweatdrops
Raisa> Lyrae claps her hands to her ears, "Shinayaka PLEASE don't sing that
song you KNOW I hate that song!"
Raisa> Lyrae sighs and glances over to Kazuma apologetically, "Ano, I really
wish you wouldn't. I don't want innocent bystanderse to get hurt because of my
family and their employees."
Raisa> Derek turns around and tries sucker-punching Shin in the gut..or
whatever is closest, "What the #$@ are you trying to sing?" >_o
Raisa> Kazuma-kun continues as if that were part of the plan, of course. "I'll
make sure that doesn't happen. ^_^"
Raisa> Raisa watches quietly. It'd be kinda spooky if she didn't blend into the
background so well when she is quiet...
Raisa> Lyrae pikupikus at Kazuma, "Et..etou I'd feel a lot better if you didn't
.."
Raisa> Kazuma-kun blinkblinks, mirroring Lyrae. "Well...why not? ^_^"
Raisa> Lyrae blinks again, "Why..not?" o.o; "B..because it isn't safe! That
entire place is filled with Yakuza!"
Raisa> Shinayaka x.@ as he gets his stomach stttttttttretched well and truly.
He stops hugging Derek. >.<
Raisa> Kazuma-kun hmms. "Yakuza?" He makes a hand at
his head level. "'Bout this tall, spiffy tattoos, a few fingers short of being
able to count to ten without taking their shoes off?" ^_^
Raisa> Lyrae glances over at Derek and Shinayaka, sweatdropping slightly..then
looks back at Kazuma.
Raisa> Raisa narrows her eyes, but keeps her mindless smile
Raisa> Lyrae quietly says, "No, about this tall," she stands and walks over to
him, holding her hand over his head and going on tiptoe to indicate height,
"Rarely with tattos, ten fingers and can easily slit your throat in ten seconds
with a smile and a cheery "Have a nice death".'"
Raisa> Kazuma-kun eyes Shinayaka a moment. "...have you ever considered a
career in the entertainment industry?"
Raisa> Lyrae takes a step back, "And that's on their off days."
Raisa> Kazuma-kun looks up at Lyrae's hand, and whistles under his breath.
"So...you do public relations for them, or what? ^_^"
Raisa> Kazuma-kun says, "I liked the 'have a nice death' part. ^_^"
Raisa> Derek mutters something and manages to restrain himself from trying to
strangle Shin. "Just at certain times..you've just got a bad habit of being
around at those times.."
Raisa> Lyrae blinks at Kazuma, "No.." she sweatdrops slightly, "I don't want
anything to do with them."
Raisa> Lyrae throws Derek a sympathetic smile
Raisa> Shinayaka grumbles at Derek with very large pouty lips, peering at
Kazuma with a strange look, like... why the heck does he seem so familiar?
Raisa> Kazuma-kun waves a hand. "Then stop trying to make people afraid of
them. Besides, they wouldn't hurt me. I'm almost universally well liked, you
see. ^_^" His everpresent grin goes to smirk for a second. "So, that's settled.
Yakuza, huh? I don't mind the bootleg CDs and games they sell, but kidnapping
young women is a sore spot with me."
Raisa> Raisa . o O ( ... Speak for yourself. )
Raisa> Lyrae sweatdrops again and takes a step back, giving Kazuma an odd odd
glance
Raisa> Kazuma-kun laughs a moment, hands in pockets, at Lyrae's glance. "Don't

now-friendly grin. "The question I would ask is, after hearing about someone in
trouble like this...why _wouldn't_ I be interested in helping her? Seems to be
a better way to spend my time than reading comic books and playing skeeball."

Raisa> Derek chuckles, "Kazuma, the guards at Sensou carry guns and lots of

Raisa> Lyrae gets control of her giggles and coughs a few times.
Raisa> Kazuma-kun hmms, transferring the yo-yo to his other hand. Then he
-plinks- the ball with a finger, taking the string between two fingers. The
string glides between, and the ball moves about Kazuma in a dizzying series of
circles. "...oh...guns...mommy! I'll give up!" He raises his hands. As he does
so, the ball lets loose, bouncing here and there about the area in what seems a
controlled pattern...you could knock a few guns out of hands that way. The
-thock- of the ball against the earth belies some force. Suddenly, it's
withdrawn, and the ball disappears into one of the cups just as the spike
elongates, making a servicable hammer which Kazuma keeps in rotating motion,
behind his back and along his shoulders like a small bo or nunchaku.
Raisa> Derek looks over, "You okay, Lyrae?" ^_^;
Raisa> Lyrae looks at Derek, "I -" she blinks at Kazuma's yoyo, "...did not
expect to see that." o.o;

the actual video cassettes are stored. After all, storing the actual tapes in
the cases on display is inviting shoplifting.

Raisa> The tall stained glass windows of the old building flood the room with a
soft light. Your ears hear every creak and bend as you step across the old
wooden floor. This once joyous place of worship has recently been cleaned,
refurbished, and remodeled into a fine place to live. The floors are dust free,
the pews are in straight lines, and even some of the old wood has been removed
and replaced. Electric lights hanging overhead hum with energy, glowing at
night, thanks to a small white generator located in the corner. A personal
computer is also located in that corner as well, with a sticker on the side
'Property of Skuld'. A portion of the wooden floor is still broken away,
revealing a patch of wild flowers growing in the center of the room. It's a
cute little addition to the quaint atmosphere here.
