City Square
Welcome to the middle of the sleepy (yeah, right), humble mountain city of
Midgaard. The peaks that surround the somewhat smallish sprawl of
constructions about you appear a vibrant, cool purple at this distance..capped
with off-white snow at the tops. Although the town itself recieves little
precipitation from being sheltered by this atol of sheer rock, a cold wind does
comb and filter its way through..providing a brisk, though arid, atmosphere.
On the southwestern pointing end of town, a small, manmade pass in the
mountain valley allows for easy access from the bustling world outside. To
your north and west are the commercial districts..manufacturing, shipping, and
selling various consumable goods. In the east, to the 'horizon', appear to be
homes of various architectural influences..the more wealthy of said houses
bordering a small alpine lake and park. To the south, the middle-class homes
continue, thinning out just before the open gap to the highway beyond.
As for where you stand..it is the Midgaard City Square..Several government
offices and the larger buildings can be found on the sides of the slightly
misnomered elliptical, cobblestoned intersection. No actual automobile traffic
passes here, being routed through the side streets..this is a strictly
pedestrian and bicycle zone. A large, granite fountain with a statue of Odin
atop it towers nearly two stories prominantly in the center. There are also
benches about for taking a quiet repose from the hustle of daily life.

>Ryan walks into the square, sitting down on a bench. He rests his head on his
hands, and breathes deeply.
>Belldandy is watching the fountain, feeding some birds that have come to sing
to her. One's even sitting in her hand, enjoying the seed she has in her palm
>Ryan . o O ( Dammit dammit dammit... everything's just going ALL wrong because
of that damned Esmerelda... )
>Harken arrives from the north
>Harken has arrived
>Ryan is sitting on a bench, head in his hands
>Belldandy happens to look up at Ryan a moment . o O ( Hmm, isn't that one of
Derek's companions from yesterday? ) She drops the rest of the seed on the
ground, dusts herself off, and goes over to see him
>Harken stops dead in her tracks, eyes narrowing as she studies Belldandy. o O (
Ah. A complication.... )
>Belldandy pauses in midstep as she crosses the square, glancing about . o O (
Hn? There it is again? Honestly, I'll have to check with the Supreme One to see
if this area is supposed to be this active.. ) She goes on, calling to Ryan
softly, "Excuse me, young man?"
>Harken frowns faintly, and removes herself as quietly as possible.
>Harken leaves south.
>Harken has left.
>Ryan blinks, looking up. As you look now, he has dark circles under his eyes,
and his right hand is bandaged. "... Hmm?"
>Belldandy smiles brightly, "You're one of Derek's companions, aren't you? Have
you seen him lately? He said he was going to find me so we could finish our
talk."
>Ryan blinks again, going pale. He looks to the side. "... You probably won't
see him around ..."
>Belldandy sits down next to you, looking a little curious, "Why do you say
that?"
>Ryan pauses for almost half a minute, never making eye contact with Belldandy.
"... He died last night ..."
>Belldandy gasps softly, her head pulling back a little, "He died?" Strangely,
she reaches in her pocket and pulls out a small notebook and starts flipping
through it. She comes to a page and hmms, "No, you must be mistaken. He's not
dead."
>Ryan grins warily, still not looking at Belldandy. He chuckles, though it's not
a humourous laugh. "Trust me on this one..." . o O ( I saw his HEAD roll
down the street...! )
>Belldandy shakes her head, "No, I'm telling you the truth. I just checked, and
he's very much alive. I don't tell lies."
>Ryan blinks again, looking at Belldandy finally. "Look, I saw... someone with
his head, you don't get better from that, you know?"
>Belldandy opens her book again and flips a few pages, "Well, there was someone
who died in this area yesterday, but it wasn't Derek." . o O ( Strange, the
page is blank. Not even a name.. )
>Ryan tries to sneak a peek. "What is that, anyway?"
>Belldandy closes the book just as you look over, "It's my daily planner. You
see, I need to keep track of what goes on from day to day, so this helps me
keep things organized. It's not very interesting to read, but it helps me a
lot." She says all this with a perfectly innocent smile
>Ryan sighs, and lowers his head again . o O ( I dunno who she is, but Derek's
DEAD... )
>Belldandy frowns a little, "Don't you believe me? I told you, I don't tell
lies. It's actually impossible, really."
>Ryan frowns. "I'm sorry, but it's a bit hard to believe after all this..."
>Belldandy looks at the ground . o O ( Well, perhaps he'd believe me if he knew
who I was..or perhaps he'd think I was crazy.. ) She lifts her head up, "Do you
believe in the gods?"
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "At this point I'd believe in just about
anything. I certainly believe in demons, now..."
>Belldandy nods and folds her hands on her lap, "Well then, my name is
Belldandy. I happen to be one of the many people whom many refer to as gods, or
in my case, goddesses. I take care of one of the main systems with my sisters.
I'm in charge of keeping track of the present, which is how I know Derek is not
dead."
>Ryan just... pauses. For a good minute, and a half. "Okay, I buy that."
>Belldandy holds up her book, "The little matters are not of importance, but
births and deaths are. Every one of them finds its way into this."
>Ryan looks to the side. "If it's true, where is he? And why didn't Esmerelda
know...?"
>Belldandy holds her book in her lap now, "I should be able to find him without
too much trouble. And who's Esmerelda?"
>Ryan blinks again, sitting up. "... If you could, it would make someone VERY
happy..." He pauses. "Esmerelda... she's... she's just evil..."
>Belldandy nods. "Is that so?" Her face takes on a thoughtful expression,
"Perhaps I should seek her out. If there's one thing I despise.."
>Ryan screams, "NO!" He takes a second to calm down, then continues, "Every time
I see her, something goes wrong, just stay away from her."
>Belldandy looks up, regaining some of her earlier calm, "No, I'm afraid I have
to at least see her once. This can't be allowed to run unchecked."
>Ryan shakes his head. "Look, I don't care if you are a Goddess or not, it's
just not safe to be around her..."
>Belldandy says, "Then I'll go alone. I'm sorry if you don't understand, but
this is something I have to do. Perhaps I can even put a limit on what she's
doing, if there's been some sort of violation."
>Ryan blinks. "... I can't stop you, but... just be careful, y'know?"
>Belldandy smiles softly, "I'm always careful. And as for Derek, I'll look after
him. There's something I need to tell him about anyway."
>Ryan looks to the side. "If you actually DO see him, tell him Lyrae's
worried..."
>Belldandy blinks, "Lyrae?" Apparently, the gods are not all omniscient..
>Ryan says, "His girlfriend..." . o O ( At least before Esmerelda stepped
in... )
>Belldandy puts a hand to her chin, "I didn't know that. Well, might I ask where
I can find her at? Perhaps it would be best to let her know he's alive as soon
as possible."
>Ryan shakes his head. "I haven't seen her since... that."
>Belldandy nods, "I see. Well, I should be able to find her as well as Derek."
She tucks her notebook away, "Please don't worry, I'm very good at my job. Oh,
wait, I never caught your name.." n.n;
>Ryan says, "Hmm? Ryan."
>Belldandy smiles, "Ah, thank you, Ryan. If you ever need help with something, I
should be around this area for a while." . o O ( The assignment is for 1,000
years, after all.. )
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "I'm fine, I guess..." . o O ( But if that
wasn't Derek, then who did Janus kill...? )
>Belldandy nods politely, "Alright then. Good day to you, Ryan." . o O ( I
should find out why that page was blank.. )

>Ryan leans back on the bench . o O ( Maybe I should just track those two
down, and find out what's going on...? )

Tyr Road [300]
The apartment buildings and hotels give way to smaller, less expensive and
privately owned buildings of like sort. Then those eventually dwindle to what
you find on either side of you now. Yes, various scents of delicious food of a
wide assortment of styles, flavours, and nationalities entices your olfactorial
senses..attempting to lure you in for a bite, or five. Make no mistake,
however. It doesn't come as cheap as those fast food places around southern
Tyr Road..though you'll definately appreciate the higher quality. At a point
up ahead, the road and street becomes an unpaved trail, towards the start of
the steep walls that the mountain atol surrounding Midgaard creates. A deep
gorge carved by forces long forgotten and lost to legend is to the west
here..and a suspension bridge has been erected so that pedestrians might take a
stroll across it to Sif Way to the east, and marvel at it.

Seventh Heaven Bar - Main Room
Tifa's Seventh Heaven Bar has a campy feeling to it, primarily constructed of
dark wood with occasional items for decoration. Several worn tables grace the
area near the door, looking beaten up from years of patrons. The bar is more
well kept, stocked with a vast amount of alcoholic beveragesand components for
mixed drinks. The room is just a tad dimly lit, feeling cozy and familliar at
the same time. Other areas of interest are the entrance to the kitchen, and a
porch with some comfy chairs. All in all, the Seventh Heaven is a nice
tribute to what someone can put together for a buisness if they try. A machine
for a game similar to pinball sits on the less used side of the room, sporting
an "Out of Order" sign.

>Ryan blinks, roused from his momentary anger, to glance at the two scientists.

is! n.n V Like...ya'know?" and blinkblinks, looking at cloud, "Uhm...Yeah,

>Melissa ambles into the room quietly, emerging from a restroom and carrying a
small plastic bottle with a white label. She looks pale.
>Janus looks over to Ryan, and nods to him.
>Ryan snarls at Janus, but takes a seat before he tries something.
>Cloud says, "... excuse me, ah, won't you look at your room?"
>Cloud was directing it to the mad scientist.
>Sato Amai and continues waiting for Cloud to reply. She blinkblinkblinks,
"My...room? OOOH! YEAH! Could you help me with my stuff, spikey? Got ALOT of
equipment to haul down, now! Like...ya'know?"
>Ryan sweatdrops. "...? What the hell is going on?"
>Cloud asks, "... ... ..." His shoulders slump just abit. First he helped move
the bottles around, now.. weirf stuff?
>Tifa ehehes ^^;
>Tifa says, "I'll help too.."
>Melissa drifts over to her table like a phantom, and sits down quietly, placing
her bottle in her purse adroitly and coughing a bit.
>Sato Amai hrmmmmms, "Oh! And, that Derek person... If he ever gets back, I'd
LOVE to experiment on him somemore... LOOOOOOOOOVED his DNA... Lots of 'e's!"
>Cloud says, "... thank you Tifa..."
>Ryan looks at the Sato. "..."
>Tifa looks at Melissa, wondering if she's allright ^^;
>Tifa asks, "Ano, miss, daijobu?"
>Cloud heads out to get the stuff, then.
>Sato Amai CLASPS her hands together. *_* "SUGOI! Then, come, come! Lets go
get everything! Oh, and be VERY careful with anything labled with the letter
'E'. It's very important..... It's the secret to everything..... It is
filled with...... E's!"
>Melissa blinks, then turns to Tifa and gives her a weak smile. "Err, yes,
fine...I'm sorry, my Japanese isn't very good...genki desu? Is that it?" She
blushes faintly. "I'm just a little warm."
>Tifa follows Cloud o.o;
>Tifa nods to Melissa first, THEN follows cloud.
>Ryan just... stares blankly. His life has been awfully wierd recently, even for
him, this ain't helping. o.o;
>Sato Amai ZOOMS out towards the bar, and then LUGS some big container with the
letter 'E' on it. She hands it to Cloud, "Now...Be careful with that. Drop
it, and the universe goes boom. n.n Okay? Now, for what you can take down,
Tifa!" she runruns back out. ^_^

>Sato Amai ZIPS back in a few moments later, lugging in a large package, even
bigger then Cloud's which also is labled 'E', yet it follows with another E.
She hands it to Tifa, "You.....don't want to know what this does if you drop
it. ^_^;;;;" a moment later, she CLASPS her hands together, as she walks back
out. n.n
>Tifa eeerks and OOOFS.. She wobbles from side to side, carrying the container
in.
>Melissa blinks at the noise, eyes following Tifa and Cloud speculatively.
>Cloud just... swings the kitchen door open with his foot, waddling into the
kitchen.

>You hear a *rustlerustle* noise outside where Sato came from, then a *cling*

>Tifa's face is obscured by the container as she wobbles after Cloud.

>Suddenly, a large brigade of robots start coming through holding packages with
them while they go towards the door after. Sato comes in, brushing off her
hands. "SUGOI! That finishes off the job! Now my lab shall be finished in NO
time! *_* *_* And, then...I shall start my EXPERIMENTS ON THE E'S ONCE AGAIN!
OHOOHOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA--*coughhack* x.x"

letter E is the solution to everything!" she then turns over to Melissa and

>Tifa looks releived.

white light, you basically see Ken Starr. She takes another pill for good

explosion. She yells up, "OH! SORRY! THAT WILL BE THE ONLY ONE! NOTHING WAS

>Tifa runs to the phone and calls up the movers. "Hello? Ah, hai, this is miss
Lockheart.. I called a few hours ago? Yes.. Yes.. That's right.. Well, Um, do
you think you could step up my appointment? Say, be here in,, The next fifteen
minutes? ...You don't have to yell like that.."
>Tifa listens silently for a long minute or two o.o;;

Janus just....continues rubbing his temples silently. ".....Well, she IS a good
scienstist, but darn annoying. -.-;"
>Melissa, still somewhat shaken, slowly gets up and leaves while the others are
hopefully distracted.

>Ryan looks over at Janus, still not remembering his prior anger. "You KNOW her?"

>Janus nods slowly, "She is the best scientist of Sensou Enterprises. The one
who developed the gate which got us here."

>Janus frowns, "If anyone can defeat Esmerelda, and free Kim. It is her. She
is not sane in the least, yet she is perhaps the brightest scientist you may
ever meet."

>Ryan blinks, suddenly remembering what he was going to do to Janus when he
first noticed him. He frowns and crosses his arms.
>Janus shakes his head slowly, as he shrugs, "You would be surprised. She was
actually in University at the age of seven. ..........And, blew up the
University at age of seven and a half."
>Ryan says, ".............................................."
>Tifa's jaw hangs open o.o
>Ryan raises a hand. "Beer please. Maybe two."
>Cloud asks, "... how old is she now?"
>Janus frowns, "Father gained much interest in her after that, and I tried to
keep her from changing the planet into a.... big letter E. Although, she has
come up with many very interesting experiments." he then looks over to Cloud,
and hrms. "How old? She is about the age of thirteen by now, I believe."
>Ryan says, "......................"
>Tifa stands up and goes to fill two mugs, then a third for herself. She brings
them back after a moment, before sitting back down and looking bushed.
>Ryan . o O ( Could be worse. Could be Pee-wee Talon. )
>Ryan immediately guzzles down the first mug, in about 20 seconds
>Cloud says, "Planet. But... it's already Earth."
>Tifa sips at her drink, watching.. guess who? If you said Cloud, you have a
grip on the obvious.
>Janus's eyes blink, as he looks over towards Cloud. "Planet? Earth? This is
not earth, or at least not the one in which I come from. The planet I come
from was called 'Earth' itself."
>Cloud says, "... Uh huh." He rubs his neck. Whatever.
>Ryan hmms. "Oh, I get it, a parallel dimension."
>Janus frowns, "Yet, no Midgaard existed there. At least none that I know of."
he nods to Ryan, "A possibility. Even Sato Amai has no idea where we are
exactly. She calls this planet........Planet E."
>Ryan crosses his arms behind his head. "Simplest explanation, assuming you're
not from the future or something."
>Cloud says, "... okay." He looks over at Tifa, shaking his head ruefully.
>Janus shakes his head, "No. The way the land is formed here... Unless we are
from billions of years into the past or future, and calculations that
scientists in our world had done are wrong, then. This is not the same planet,
most likely."
>Tifa hrms...
>Cloud says, "... all right." He looks at Ryan, then back at Tifa. Then back at
Janus. "In any case... what could this girl do to stop Esmerelda?"
>Janus continues, "So, this is either another world, another dimension, or
another universe. Either of the three. Either way, it is an interesting
device she had created. Her creation still baffles any other scientist we have
had looking at the machine. However, if we gain access to a gate, we may be
able to send Esmerelda somewhere that she may not be able to return from."
>Cloud says, "... hmmmm." He brings his hand up to his chin, rubbing it
thoughtfully.
>Ryan says, "Sounds like a plan, if we can pull it off."
>Tifa nods. "Hai.."
>Tifa. o O (Nothing should sound farfetched to me, but it does x.x)
>Janus nods slowly, as he says after, "Yes. Although, before that we must first
save my sister's friend, Kim."
>Ryan frowns. "The same way you 'saved' Lyrae?"
>Janus looks over to Ryan. "Oh, yes... You don't know that Derek is still alive,
do you.."
>Cloud says, "... I cannot believe that Derek was cloned by... that little girl."
>Ryan blinks. . o O ( Th... that's just what Belldandy said. ) "He's alive?"
>Tifa nods ^^; "It seems so.."
>Ryan blinks again. "Cloned...?" He pauses. "By HER!?"
>Janus nods, "Yes. He is still alive." he then nods after, as he says, "It was
a perfect clone in every way. It was pretty convincing, was it not?"
>Ryan grumbles. "... You could say that..."
>Cloud says, "..."
>Janus nods afterwards, "Esmerelda was fooled by it as well. It is too bad she
had heard everything I said to Kim, otherwise we would not need Sato Amai for
saving her."
>Cloud says, "... but how would Sato save her?"
>Janus frowns, "With Lyrae's help, of course. Lyrae can give all of the
information Sato requires. Do any of you know where her collar from before may
of went, though?"
>Cloud says, "... no. Ask her."
>Janus nods slowly, "Allright. That I will."
>Janus has disconnected.
>Cloud says, "... all right. In any case... good night. I'll be sleeping." He
nods at everyone, heading upstairs, pausing to look at Tifa once and then
resumes climbing upstairs.
>Cloud has left.
>Ryan starts on the second mug. . o O ( Then was Belldandy right about
that... other part too... <.< )

>Tifa has left.
