Seventh Heaven Bar - Main Room
Tifa's Seventh Heaven Bar has a campy feeling to it, primarily constructed of
dark wood with occasional items for decoration. Several worn tables grace the
area near the door, looking beaten up from years of patrons. The bar is more
well kept, stocked with a vast amount of alcoholic beverages and components for
mixed drinks. The room is just a tad dimly lit, feeling cozy and familiar at
the same time. Other areas of interest are the entrance to the kitchen, and a
porch with some comfy chairs. All in all, the Seventh Heaven is a nice tribute
to what someone can put together for a business if they try. A machine for a
game similar to pinball sits on the less used side of the room, sporting an
"Out of Order" sign. Most of the damage that was obvious only a little while
ago is now repaired with more permenant fixes, so the bar once again is back to
it's former self.

>Vincent considers the portent of the gaze. Then, in apparent answer, he gives
a faint shake of his head in negation. Probably not, in other words. "Is
there something the matter?" he asks aloud, for the benefit of a possible
answer for the sudden greeting. Unless it was just for that one silent question
about Susano of course.
>Ryan walks in . o O ( Still no sign of Cloud, eh...? Feh. )
>Lexis Shaia shakes his head softly. "Not at all. Just trying to meet new
people. I don't come out of my lab often.."
>Lexis Shaia nods towards Ryan.

Lexis
Standing before you, is a human male.
He is five feet, eight inches tall, and
has pale white skin. The smell of motor
oil and iron seems to emanate from him.
He has light green hair, and beneath his
nose, is a light blue-green mustache. He
has turquoise eyes.
Professor Lexis Shaia apppears to be
rather friendly, although he tends to be
strange at times. Clad in a white labcoat,
which trails to his knees, and a pair of
blue trousers, he is an inventor of sorts.
He also wears a blue silk shirt beneath
the labcoat.

*** Lexis Shaia just looked at you ***
>Susano walks back to his table, pint of beer in hand. Sitting down, he takes a
long draught, breathing out a sharp 'ah.'
>Ryan sits down at a table, promptly putting his feet up on it and crossing his
arms behind his head.
>Vincent nods. If he weren't already completely devoid of expression before
Lexis spoke, he would have been considered moreso, now. Apparently, he doesn't
seem to like the idea of dedicated scientists too much. But he reserves
whatever opinion that might be. "I see." he says aloud, again addressing Lexis.
>Lexis Shaia hmms.
>Susano throws his beer back, gulping noisily at the brew as it goes smoothly
down his throat. Emptying his glass he hits it against the table, loudly.
That obviously hit the spot.
>You mumble, "Hey... who's this Sephiroth guy you can Cloud have mentioned
before...?" to Vincent.
>Ryan mumbles, "Hey .. .. .. ..... ..... Sephiroth guy you ..... Cloud
..... mentioned ..... .. .. .. .." to Vincent.
>Vincent turns his attention to Ryan, "Sephiroth, the man... I do not know much
of. Cloud might be able to tell you more in that regard, to be honest." He's
quite open about that information, you see, "I only know of his origins."
>Ryan hmms. "... I see. Never mind then."
>Vincent raises his human hand in a bit of a half gesture, "I'm sorry." he says,
out of politeness sake.
>Ryan shrugs. "Not your fault."
>Susano grabs ahold of his glass, rubbing and putting rings into the wooden
surface, his intense stare on his very stupid, menial task. He's restless,
wanna make something of it?
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "..."
>Susano's head falls, hitting the table with his forehead, making a loud *wumpf*
sound. He springs his head back up, tilting his head back and forth,
suppressing a yawn.
>Ryan says, "... THIS is fun."
>Susano holds his head up with his palm on his forehead, agreeing. "Yaah."
>Vincent watches Ryan again. With a faint shrug for his comment, he then turns
his attention back to, well, waiting.
>Ryan . o O ( I REALLY wish I knew where Cloud was going... How dare he run off
into a fight without me! )
>Susano figures he should ask, since he's not particularly certain. "Like...
people. What are we waiting for here, again? Something to do with that
ship-thingie?"
>Vincent looks over to Susano, "I am waiting to address the matter of Cloud's
disappearance to his companions." he glances at Ryan and fall silent again.
>Ryan hmms at that, and scowls. "..."
>Susano nods slowly, gesturing for Vincent to slow down. "Hold on. Cloud's the
blonde dude. And he's gone. And his companions means this guy over here?" he
moves his hand towards Ryan. "What's there to address? He's gone, right? But
you know where he is. So...?"
>Ryan sweatdrops. "Ain't that simple. And he's not exactly easy to get to, where
he is."
>Vincent shakes his head, "I have no idea as to where his present location is."
With a glance at Ryan, he adds, "And his is only a theory, even if it is a
logical one."
>Ryan nods to Vincents statement, but doesn't elaborate.
>Susano's demeanor changes again. "It can't be that difficult. He has to be
somewhere along multi-dimensional space, and between two points anywhere
there's a straight-line trajectory. Where's the difficulty?" He stands up,
stretching his arms, pushing against the table - as always feeling restless.
"Where is this person anyway?"
>Ryan turns to Susano, just blinking at that statement. After a short pause, he
replies, "If we knew, we wouldn't be concerned, eh?"
>Susano replies in turn, lifting his lips in the beginning of an impatient
scowl. "Well, where do you think he is?" he looks at Vincent, back at Ryan,
then sits down. "But the exact physical location isn't important, from within
this sphere you can probably get a lock on his psyche imprint quite easily, I'd
bet."
>Ryan raises an eyebrow, asking out of the blue, "What the hell are you, some
kinda wizard or something?"
>Susano shakes his head. "No. I'm God of Darkness and Destruction. Warrior
Lord of the Black Dragon Eye. Susano Orbatos is the name. You can call me
Suse." He lets out a breath, adding quickly, "I'm on a break right now."
>Ryan boggles a moment. "How many !@^!( gods can live in one city, anyway!?" He
inhales. "... Suse? Never mind. Have you seen the large object in Earth orbit?"
He appends: "Besides the moon?"
>Susano answers Ryan's first question, "As many as they want. But I'm not
officially a god, right now." He nods, sucking on a canine. "Or Susano, if
you prefer. What large object? ... I thought the earth had two moons."
>Rachel has arrived.
>Ryan sweatdrops. "Er... no. It's only supposed to have ONE moon."
>Rachel comes in, with a smile and a wave.
>Ryan (OOC) files that under, 'weirdest comment to walk in on'
>Rachel OOC nodnods. Though she's had others that are right up there. ;)
>Ryan looks up. "Oh, hi Rachel!" Beamsmilebeam! He's hiding something...
>Rachel notes the wattage of Ryan's smile, and returns some of it. "Heya, Ryan,
what's up?"
>Susano ahs. He nods to Ryan. "So you have only one. Have any of your
officially sanctioned magicians taken time to inspect its core? Guess not, or
you wouldn't be flying off to see it."
>Ryan sweatdrops slightly. "Not much..."
>Rachel replies, "Oh, really?" She's clearly not buying it.
>Ryan looks at Susano. "Er... all our magicians are private workers"
>Ryan sweatdrops again. "Eheh... well... uh, Cloud ran off to pay a visit to
that Harken chick..."
>Rachel's cheeriness switches quickly to concern. "He did? Was that wise?"
>Susano crashes back down, muttering a word or two about backwater realities.
"And you're all surprised when things like that happen."
>Ryan shakes his head. "I'm not sure of the details... Vinne isn't very
talkative."
>Rachel says, "What did you all find out night before last, anyway? I never got to
ask, with the situation that had developed here while you were out."
>Ryan sighs. "Not much, actually. Except that there are a lot of Metal Demons..."
>Rachel says, "Define 'a lot'."
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "At least 5..."
>Rachel . o O ( What is this, 'one, two, three, many' math? Since when is 5 'a
lot'...? )
>Rachel says, "That doesn't sound so hopeless."
>Ryan is going on the assumption most of 'em are like Harken.
>Ryan shrugs. "Maybe..."
>Rachel hasn't seen Harken. Only one she knows firsthand is Callan. So her
perseptions may be a bit different. ;)
>Rachel er, and her spelling of 'perceptions' was a little different there, too,
sorry.
>Susano stops, looks around the bar. Then asks, since he really has little
clue. "What's a metal demon? Other than a demon made of metal?"
>Rachel asks, "And why 'demon'? Aren't they just aliens of some... " She
stops. "Did I just say, _just_ aliens?"
>Ryan opens his mouth to answer... then pauses... then says, "Actually, I think
that sums it up."
>Rachel shakes her head disbelievingly.
>Susano ahs. He nods, seeing his guess was right. "Well then. It's not that
difficult, it's not that you're fighting divinities."
>Ryan comments under his breath, "Not YET, anyway."
>Lexis Shaia looks around.....a slight frown crossing his lips
>Susano arches both his eyebrows, looking curiously at Ryan. "What's that, kid?"
Rachel looks at Susano. Almost, but not quite, glaring. "...fighting
divinities... ," she mouths silently.
>Ryan looks up. "Hmm? Nothing."
>Ryan . o O ( Hopefully Janus isn't a lunatic @.< )
>Lexis Shaia rises to his feet, shaking his head softly.
>Susano is glared at. He mostly misses that look. "Alright. Anyway, keep
these words in mind: in the end things will balance out. Buddha will maintain
the karmic balance."
>Lexis sighs
>Ryan sweatdrops. "... Er, yeah."
>Lexis decides that he has no place in here..
>Lexis turns, and pads out, taking his sketchbook with him.
>Rachel says, "Sure, whatever."
>Lexis has left.
>Susano almost, but not quite spits out. "And -I- here thought hope sprang
eternal within you mortals."
>Ryan comments half-sarcastically, "You haven't met Esmerelda then, I take it."
>Rachel says, "I beleive in making my own hope."
>Susano answers back, in the same tone. "No, I haven't. Who in the name of the
thousand hells is Esmerelda?"
>Ryan raises an eyebrow. "You actually don't know? Lucky." He inhales,
"Esmerelda is the double-crossing, back-stabbing, evil-dealing living draconic
personification of evil."
>Rachel . o O ( Sounds like Quincy's dream date... )
>Susano phoos! "Oh, come on! A dragon? You're calling a -dragon- the
personification of evil?" He leans against the table, laughing softly. Then
he looks up, smiling, fangs in full view. "Dragons are malicious little worms
that aspire for power. Hell, it's like everytime I'm thr... I take a break I
kill a dragon." He takes a deep breath. "They're big, they're tough... but
they bleed. And I don't."
>Susano says, "If that means anything."
>Rachel rolls her eyes.
>Ryan hmms. . o O ( A bit overconfident. c.c 9.9 ) "Well... you're just
saying that because you haven't met her yet."
>Rachel . o O ( WHY does this bar have to average at least one nutcase a
night...? )
>The yin singularity in the basement?
>Vincent turns his attention to Susano, "You say that you are on a break from
being a god, is that correct?"
>Oh, of course, that's it -- how silly of me! Would you like fries with that?
>Susano turns to Vincent also. "Yeah. A break, that's it."
>Ryan snickers to himself for a second. Mostly because of Vincent actually
making a joke, more then it being FUNNY
>Rachel says, "A break. From being a _god_. Sure. Right."
>Susano narrows his eyes. He stands up and pushes his palms against the table.
"Look, it's a forced vacation, okay? I called Buddha a fatass and I'm here,
among whiny mortals. So give me a break."
>Rachel . o O ( He seems to _believe_ it... )
>Vincent wasn't really making a joke, he asked the question in all seriousness,
"Then, perhaps you should attempt to fight this dragoness... without the powers
of your god status. Do you think it would be so easy then? And assume, when
you take as much damage as a mortal can, after being thus handicapped, you
die." he doesn't appear to be making fun of Susano either. He is merely making
the statement of a different point of view, "Then, you might see why mortals
have a fear of this dragoness."
>Ryan sweatdrops. Nooooo comment. He does seem to know an awful lot for a
lunatic, though... "Hey, Rachel, can I have a beer?"
>Rachel asks, "Sure, coming right up. Any particular kind?"
>Rachel heads behind the bar.
>Ryan shrugs.
>Rachel asks, "You like dark beers?"
>Ryan shrugs again. "At this point, I don't really care."
>Rachel draws a mug, and brings it over to Ryan with a napkin. "Here you go.
Prior. Good stuff."
>Ryan nods. "Thanks..."
>Ryan comments, apparently to Susano, "Look, I don't care if you're a god or
not... just watch yourself around Esmerelda. She specializes in mind games."
>Echartea has arrived.
>Susano turns on his heavy heels to face Vincent. "Look, I never said it was
easy. I just said they're just dragons, big worms." he gestures to Ryan.
"That guy over there lost hope. I've seen you mortals - humans specifically do
some really crazy stuff, I know you guys can do it." He taps his knuckles on
the table, thinking. "I can't die, so I can't really see that through any
perspective. But death is just part of a cycle. It's simply a path to true
immortality." He continues on his rant, suddenly turning his attention to
Ryan. "Look... really, if I'm gonna be stuck here, I'm not going to watch
myself around anyone. She's a dragoness, a lot of cowardice, very little true
bite."
>Echartea silently pads into the bar....
>Echartea looks around silently.
>Ryan shrugs. "Well... just don't underestimate her."
>l ech
Echartea
Standing before you, is what is most likely
the strangest being you've ever seen. He
stands six feet tall, with blazing deep-sea
blue eyes, that alter color with emotion.
He stands upright, as a human would, with
arms and legs, however, he has a foot long
delphinian beak. His delphinian tail flukes
are about four feet long, and widen, also
becoming flatter at the end, with a v-shaped
crease in the center. He also has six inch
long flippers, that hang about five inches
below his arms, and are pressed to his sides.
His dorsal fin stands erect at the small of
his back, and is five inches tall. His head,
unlike a full dolphin's, is tilted downwards,
in a humanoid manner.
Echartea wears only a trailing purple cloak,
that can wrap around his entire body, but for
the most part of the time, remains hanging behind
him. There is a small slit in the center, from
which his dorsal fin protrudes. He has gleaming
white, cone-shaped teeth, that look like they could
burrow into ANYTHING. He carries only a tall oaken
staff at his side, and around his waist, beneath the
cloak, is a sheathed sabre, which is formed of stone,
with a leather-bound hilt.
He also wears leather, roman style crosspatch
sandals. His feet are strange, in the manner that
they only have two toes, and no toenails. As with the
rest of his body, his feet are a soft shade of blue as
well. His arms are humanoid, but his hands are somewhat
odd. Instead of having four fingers and a thumb, he has
three rather large fingers, and a large thumb. He has
no fingernails, with which to protect the tips of his
fingers, either. The area just above his forehead is
more shiny than the rest of his body, and constantly
bulges out, and then bends inwards. He can breathe
through his mouth, as a human, or as a dolphin would,
through his blowhole. He seems rather peaceful...not
the violent type in the least....unless the life of a
friend is threatened, or his own life is threatened.

Warp Beacon, Larimar Sabre, and Wizard Staff
>Ryan . o O ( When did this city become the vacation spot for weirdoes? )
>Rachel looks toward Echartea from behind the bar. "Hi. Can I get you
something?"
>Echartea shakes his head quietly. "No thank you. I'm quite fine for now"
>Echartea takes a seat at the bar, leaning his staff against it.
>Susano huffs, throwing his hands into his trenchcoat pockets. "You mortals
just don't get it."
>Echartea looks around...again, understanding why everyone got quiet as soon as
he walked in
>Ryan grumbles, "Well excuse me for not being divine. I rather happen to like
living, though, and Esmerelda seems to want to stop that little point."
>Vincent chuckles quietly. Something he is long unused to doing by the sound of
it. He regards Susano carefully before answering. (After waiting for Ryan to
finish), "I understand. But seeing as this Esmerelda has not shown herself to
me as of yet, there is little I can do of the matter. I prefer to address a
more prominent matter in my existance, when given a choice."
>Echartea looks around quietly..surveying the situation..always on his
guard..always alert..
>Susano removes his hands from his pockets, gesturing exasperatedly. "You...
I... aagh!" He turns and leaves, in a hurry.
>Susano (OOC) has to go. Night all.
>Ryan takes a looooooonnnnnggg swig of beer
>Susano has left.
>Rachel watches Susano leave. "What a lunatic."
>Ryan nods. "Just hope he has enough sense to avoid getting in trouble."
>... Yeah right.
>Vincent settles back down into silence after Susano leaves. He watches Rachel
now, taking up a strange habit of studying people when he has nothing else to
do.
>Rachel says, "Or to not go around _believing_ he's some kind of immortal, and
wind up getting himself killed."
>Echartea sighs..
>Ryan nods. "Agreed..." He takes another sip, then ogles Rachel himself
>Rachel fiddles behind the bar while the place is still relatively quiet,
tidying things up, juggling three empty glasses for a minute, refilling the ice
hamper, and so on.
>Echartea watches Rachel silently.
>Rachel pages, "Since you're watching so closely, yes, I jiggle nicely as I
juggle. Not _that_ much, but... ;)" to you.
>Echartea blinks.
>Ryan . o O ( Well, it's boring even when there's pretty girls behind the
counter... -_- )
>You page-pose, "Ryan can die happy now" to Rachel
>Echartea clicks quietly, once more surverying the scenario....in case his
'hunters' should come for him..
>Rachel pages, "Does that mean I can shoot you? Just kidding... ;)" to you.
>You page, "If you gimme a kiss firs- *blam*" to Rachel.
>Ryan raises his hand. "Hey, ah, sorry to be rude, but we dont' get bipedal
dolphinids around here often."
>Rachel pages, "Oopsie... ;)" to you.
>Echartea smirks at Ryan.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Of course you don't"
>Echartea clicks quietly, "They're not native to this....ehhh....area."
>Ryan shrugs. "Off-planet, eh? Whatever."
>Echartea hehs.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "....well..I guess you could say that"
>Echartea's eyes flicker a weak shade of blue-grey.
>Rachel asks, "Oh, really? You know anything about that weird thing in orbit?"
>Echartea looks at Rachel....blinking.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "I've...sensed something.......peculiar...lately."
>Echartea clicks quietly, "But as to it's nature, I am unsure."
>Rachel asks, "I don't suppose you have any way of getting a better look at it?
Like a spaceship or anything like that?"
>Echartea blinks...."Well....there is my gateway...but I doubt it'd work for
that.."
>Rachel asks, "'Gateway'? Is that how you came here?"
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Indeed...and then a long, long journey on foot."
>Ryan hmms. "... I've been suspecting there's some sort of singularity here, but
I have no way to test the theory."
>Rachel looks at Ryan. Last person she expected to hear scientific-sounding
theories from. "A 'singularity'?"
>Echartea scratches his beaktip, and sighs.
>Ryan sweatdrops as everyone starts looking at him. "WHAT!? I have a PhD, you
know!" He inhales. "Anyway... the large concentration of beings of high magic
potential, and other times, and what have you may have a cumulative effect over
time, drawing more people here... but that's just a theory."
>Echartea hmms
>Echartea clicks quietly, "That sounds logical...."
>Ryan says, "... But, like I said, I have no way to test it. So, for the time
being, it's just a theory."
>Rachel . o O ( So why am _I_ here? Or Eden? We're both about as 'magical' as
a toaster or a brass doorknob. )
>Echartea. o O (............perhaps Astricus was right...)
>Echartea sighs
>Ryan says, "DOES explain a lot, though, if not everything." . o O ( Such
as... why HERE? What caused the singularity in the first place? )
>Vincent hms, "It is also a convienent theory. Perhaps this place was only
hiding these beings from sight until just recently. Instead of converging
here, they were instead under your nose all this time."
>Echartea rises to his feet, taking up his staff...
>Ryan snaps his fingers. "Perhaps... but most of the... eh... 'non-locals' I've
talked to have arrived recently."
>Echartea slowly begins to frown..his eyes growing to an agitated shade of red.
The shuffling of metal-clad feet is heard in the distance.
>Ryan raises an eyebrow. "..."
>Echartea clicks softly.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Wonderful.."
>Echartea pads over to the door, and looks out...frowning, as he bolts back to
the bar..
>Ryan looks at Rachel and shrugs
>Vincent turns to look at the doorway itself. Or, rather, in the direction of
the sound. He listens intently, attempting to pick up the specifics of what is
approaching. Only to glance at Echartea for the reaction. "What is it?"
>Echartea clicks quietly, looking for secondary exits..
>Echartea asks, ".......ehhh....you ever heard of the Bound Kingdom?"
>Ryan shakes his head.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Well..their army...appears to be rather......irked at
me."
>Echartea mrphs.
>The sound of metal-clad feet against the ground grows nearer...
>Vincent shakes his head in a sign of negation as well, waiting for Echartea to
elaborate. He turns his attention back to the doorway again. "Then I suggest
you leave, if that is whom approaches."
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Dekar must be with them..."
>Echartea nods softly.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Problem is...."
>Ryan shrugs. "That all? Three countries have a death warrant for me." He
chuckles to himself, then suddenly looks up. "Er... never mind."
>Echartea clicks quietly, "I try to go out there...and I get massacred....I may
be very good with magic...but one can't exactly cast Incendiary in the middle
of town........"
>Echartea asks, "Are there any back exits?"
>Ryan nods (OOC: Well, not OOCly, but ICly)
>Echartea perks
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Nevermind"
>Echartea clicks quietly, "There's always another way."
>Echartea lowers his head, and closing his eyes......a beam of multicolored
light enveloping him. As it fades, so does he......he becomes camoflauged
with the colors of the area he is in..making him temporarily invisible.
>( A black-armored man walks into the bar, looking around........ )
>Ryan raises an eyebrow. "That's something you don't see every day." Not sure if
he was referring to the dolphin or the new arrival.
>The man looks around, raising an eyebrow. "Any of you seen a strange lookin`
dolphin 'round these parts?"
>Vincent is already looking toward the doorway, attracted to the sound of the
footsteps of metal clad footwear. He looks the black-armored man over
carefully. And stays silent.
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "Ocean's about 100 miles that way."
>The well built, but not overly bright man frowns. "I meant the walking sort..."
>Ryan raises an eyebrow. "You got some mighty strange dolphins where you're
from."
>The man shakes his head, "No.....he's not from...around here....or anywhere
else....he's one of them confounded wizard-types."
>Ryan nods. "Ah. Right. Wizard." He looks at Rachel and makes the little
corkscrew motion with his index finger towards his temple.
>The man mutters quietly, half-glaring at Ryan. "So I take it he ain`t been
here.."
>Ryan shrugs. "A walking dolphin'd be kind of memorable, I imagine. Why you
looking for him?"
>Vincent stays quite silent. Anything from him about a strange appearance would
seem a contradiction in terms, after all. c.c
>The man frowns. "Order of the king....."
>The man turns, and walks out, without further word.
>Ryan blinks, "King?" Hmm, already left.
>Echartea fades back into existance.
>Echartea phews.
>Echartea clicks quietly, "I better get outta here before he comes back"
>Echartea clicks quietly, "Thank you......."
>Echartea taps his staff twice against the ground, and is warped to Lake Acamier.
>Echartea has left.
>Ryan just... pauses, then looks down at his beer, before tossing it in the
trash.
>Ryan looks at Vincent. "... No, I don't know what that was about."
>Vincent clears his throat, then turns his attention to Ryan, "I never said a
word."
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "... Now what?"
>Vincent sighs, "Unless you can find a way to get in contact with Cloud, then...
nothing, I would assume, until there is word."
>Ryan hmms...
>Ryan hmms. "Hey, Vinnie, do you have a phone? Specifically, a cell phone or
something similar?"
>Pikachu has arrived.
>Ryan appears to be asking Vincent something
>Pikachu hops into the room, pausing at the entrance to look around the room.
Its nose wiggles.
>Pikachu pikas, "Pika pi!" 'n.n'
>Ryan blinks, looking over his shoulder as the... whatever pops in again. "Hmm?"
>Vincent shakes his head, "No..." he adds then, in a near humor, "When I was
sent to sleep, I don't believe they intended that I would be allowed to
communicate with the outside world, should I awaken." he turns to look at the
door at the sound of the pikachu. And smiles a bit.
>Pikachu hops across the floor on all fours, going right up to Vincent, standing
up its hind legs and smiling up to him 'n.n'
>Pikachu pikas!, "Pika!"
>Ryan hmms, and pulls a small phone out of his pocket, tossing it to Vincent.
"Here. The way people keep running off alone and getting into trouble, it'd be
good to have a quick way to get in touch."
>Vincent catches the phone in time, with a nod of thanks to Ryan, then turns his
attention to the pikachu, "Hello again."
>Pikachu pikas, "Pi pikachu." 'n.n'
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "Well, it's cheery, whatever it is."
>Pikachu looks at Ryan and sticks out its little tounge
>Pikachu. o O (You didn't even try to help.)
>Pikachu looks back at Vincent, smiling again, twitching its ears. 'n.n'
>Ryan blinks. "What was THAT for!?" Hmm, talking to an animal. Yup, Ryan's lost
it.
>Pikachu looks at Ryan, "Pika pi pika."
>Ryan furrows his brow. Doesn't seem to speak pikachu. He hmmphs, leaning back
in his seat.
>Vincent continues to watch the small, cute, loveable creature, waiting for it
to finish speaking with Ryan, "Are you feeling better?" He's talking directly
to it as well, so Ryan's not the only 'crazy' one in the room. n.n;
>Pikachu nods, with a little squeal, "Chu!" 'n.n'
>Ryan says, "Well, that's good to hear, at least."
>Pikachu pikas, "..."
>Pikachu hops towards Ryan, throwing its arms out to its sides, "Pikup!"
>Ryan blinks. "Eh?" O_o
>Pikachu's cheeks spark
>Ryan leans back. "... I hope it isn't dangerous."
>Vincent arches an eyebrow, "Perhaps he still has the hiccups." he comments.
Absolutely deadpan and calm.
>Ryan blinks. "... That may be it."
>Pikachu pikas, "Pikaaa." walking towards Ryan, still sparking.
>Ryan slowly tries to creep backwards. "Er... um... hello...?"
>Pikachu pikas, "Pi...kaaa..." *sparkspark*
>Pikachu hops towards Ryan menacingly as it continues to spark, "Chu! Chu!"
>Rachel asks, "Wha...?"
>Ryan erks, and tries to backpedal. Not easily accomplished while one is sitting
down. He falls out of his chair. "erk!"
>Vincent begins to stand, "Please stop." he says to the pikachu. Yes, he is
realizing that the little guy doesn't have the hiccups, now.
>Pikachu looks up at Vincent, "Chu?"
>Pikachu lowers its ears as it stops sparking. It snaps its fingers as if
saying 'darn'
>Ryan twitches on the floor as he grumbles to himself @_o
>Ryan promptly sits back up. "I meant to do that."
>Rachel says, "Riiight..."
>Pikachu pikas, "Pika." walking back towards Vincent
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "Hey, Rachel, same thing I asked Vincent, do
you have a cell phone or satellite phone?"
>Rachel says, "No, I don't."
>Pikachu waves byebye! 'n.n' "Chu!" (ooc)
>Pikachu has disconnected.
>Ryan hmms. "Remind me to get you one later then."
>Rachel says, "You don't have to do that..."
>Ryan shrugs. "Don't see why not. They're cheap these days, and it'd be nice to
have a way to get in touch quickly..." . o O ( Seeing as how people here have
this great habit of running off into trouble alone >.< )
>Rachel says, "I can pay for it... or at least I can, soon..."
>Ryan nods. "Okay then... but my offer still stands."
>Vincent looks down and studies the phone in his hand carefully, "One
question... Ryan?" he looks up to the man and calmly continues with the query,
"A phone number... and is there anything that I need to know on how to use it?"
he lifts the phone slightly to indicate it as the subject.
>Ryan rubs the back of his neck. "Well, the number on that one is 555-7896. As
for how to use it, it's pretty simple, just turn it on and dial up. Don't
forget to plug it in when you're at home to let it recharge."
>Yeah, sure, Ryan, you just want to make sure you have Rachel's number. You get
points for the original approach, though. ;)
>Bug off! ;P
>'Sides, if I wanted that, I'd just get a wiretap...
>Vincent shakes his head slightly, "Very well." he opens it up, looks over the
fairly straightforward buttons, and closes it again, "I am impressed with the
progress technology has taken."
>Ryan shrugs. "Always just take it for granted."
>Rachel gives Ryan a serious look. "Never do that, Ryan."
>Ryan nods. "Well, technology is usually rather predictable. Except around here."
>Rachel says, "Or in the world I come from."
>Ryan hmms.
>Rachel says to Ryan, in a quiet, serious tone, "You've heard me talk about
Bumas. In my world, it's a word for 'robot', most of them more-or-less
humanoid. They're made for varaious kinds of work. Menial labor, factory
work, construction... " She pauses, eyes flicking to the floor for a moment.
"War..."
>Ryan sits up. "Hmm. Run into killer 'bots a few times myself (and not just
here)... I can understand the trouble if they're mass-produced."
>Rachel nods, once, slowly. "That's why my armor and my motoroid were made.
And Eden's armor, too. We're part of a team that... deals with runaway Bumas."
>Vincent places the phone within a pocket under the cloak he wears. He turns his
attention to listen again to the conversation.
>Ryan hmms. "Explains the hardware."
>Rachel says, "When you were talking about having problems with those two Corps,
and I said I could relate to that, I was referring to the outfit that makes
most of the Bumas. Megacorp called Genom."
>Ryan inquires, "Megacorps always cause trouble. Dunno why, just do. Sensou,
Shinra, Microsoft..."
>Rachel says, "They get too big to be controlled or intimidated by any one
government. And big enough to bite back if the smaller govs try to do much."
>Ryan nods. "You really get into trouble when they start fielding armies..." He
inhales. "Those powered armor might come in handy... but I don't want to risk
'em if you have no way to repair 'em if they get damaged."
>Rachel adds, ruefully, "Hell, Genom Security's probably a bigger 'army' than
half the Third World countries have. And that's just the human part, never
mind the Bumas."
>Ryan nods. "Well, on the upside, they aren't here. Of course we have our OWN
problems, but..."
>Rachel says, "And you just hit the point of the biggest worry Eden and I have,
here. No teck support or way to get replacement parts. Or ammo, for that
matter."
>Ryan hmms. "I might be able to repair mecha... well, not me personally, I don't
have either the skills or the equipment, but a... um... friend of mine can."
>Rachel says, "You'd mentioned that. I'd like to meet this person."
>Ryan sweatdrops. "Well, she isn't on good terms with me right now..."
>Ryan . o O ( Sheesh, you miss ONE date and a girl flips out c.c )
>Rachel says, "It's a real limitation on our effectiveness that we don't have
any 'ground crew'. Not to mention having every bit of ammo be precious. I
mean, that railgun spike I fired the other night, for example. I don't have
that many of those, and right now, I can't get any more."
>Ryan rubs his chin. "Well, railgun ammo isn't too hard to comeby... it's only
shards of ferrous metal. The trick is machining it."
>Rachel nods. "Exactly. It's not anything beyond 1998 technology to make, but
we need to get someone to make it."
>Ryan says, "Worse comes to worse you can make it by hand... take a while,
though."
>Rachel says, "If I get an armor plate damaged on my suit, though, there's no
way any normal facility here could make a replacement. The processes and some
of the materials haven't been invented yet. It'll take someone with advanced
knowledge and equipment."
>Ryan comments, "Like Gina. But she'll charge me a fortune."
>Vincent looks up. Until now, his eyes have been closed, but now he regards Ryan
carefully, "What happened to Shin-Ra corporation? I am constantly getting
conflicting stories on its status. They would be able to do the repairs needed
for which you've stated. Provided their technology level has improved at the
same rate as the rest of the world's."
>Ryan hmms, crossing his arms. "Way Cloud tells things, it might be best to stay
away from them, though. At the very least, they might take too big an interest
in the mecha..."
>Ryan stands up. "... Anyway... I have to be going. My hack of the Hubbel is
well underway right now, want to be there to take pictures of that damned
spaceship."
>Rachel shakes her head. "No megacorp's getting its hands on our gear."
>Vincent mms, "Yes, but there is more than one way to obtain supplies from a
company." he murmers to himself, then he nods to Ryan, "Good luck, then."
>Tifa has connected.
>Ryan nods. "Agreed. No need to drag more people in then necessary, eh? Forumla
for disaster." He nods to Vincent, then winks at Rachel. "Juggle for me more
often, eh?"
>Vincent (OOC) grins. Evilly. "Hi Tifa. n.n"
>Tifa says, "(OOC) My my, look at all the people o.o"
>Ryan (OOC) leaves JUST as the OTHER scantily-clad barmaid shows up ;_;
Well, Vinnie gets the joy of explaining things...
>Rachel laughs, smiling at Ryan. "Right."
>Ryan smirks and walks out before Tifa shows up...
