Born into the Seung family, I was introduced to our family style of long blade martial
  arts from when I was
just starting to walk. I trained with a Zanbato for a large portion
of my youth, learning to defend myself and, when the occasion warrants, attack. So
when I heard about the Sword of Salvation, I decided that I was good enough to go after
  it myself.

I ran away from home to chase after the sword, but wouldn't you know it, before I could
get anywhere, I was found and dragged home by Hwang, who had been sent after me
by my father. So my father punished me by making me practise my martial arts until I
dropped. Not that I minded at all, I loved every minute.

Then he decides he's going to organise a marriage for me with Hwang, who I wasn't
exactly to thrilled about at the time. Thankfully that idea was stopped by Hwang leaving
for his duty in the Coastal Defense Force. Now, I was starting to get restless hanging
around at home all the time. After all, I had experienced the freedom of travelling and
living under off own wits, so sitting around had become boring. It all came to a head
when the stupid idiot son of the Kim family proposed to me. I decided right then and
there that I was out of there, vanished, gone.

With my skills in martial arts and a little experience under my belt, I headed off on my
quest for the sword, confident that I could handle anything I ran across. I had thought
of joining the Coastal Defense force Myself, but they don't accept women. On top of
that, Hwang and my fathers best friend would be there. I really didn't want to be forced
to go home again. So the quest it was.

After a few months of travelling, I finally reached western soil where I heard of another
female fighter questing for the sword. It seemed like I was being led straight to her.
She told me of her quest to find the 'demonic blade' Soul Edge and the source of her
power. That made me a little uneasy, I have to tell you. The same sword I knew of as
the sword of salvation had just been called a demonic blade. She disparaged my lack
of knowledge and said that I shouldn't be looking for it if I was so ignorant. And she

called me a pretty baby. So of course I challenged her to a fight right then and there.
Wouldn't you. The sorry thing was, that after she had defeated me, I did feel a little like
a baby. My skills were inadequate and I didn't know what I was getting myself into.

As I questioned my dedication to my training, I was interrupted by an old drunkard
holding a stick that, on closer inspection, seemed to be a well-used rod. He insulted
me too. Calling me a baby. Although, thinking back, he probably meant something else
by it. So I attacked him too. Before I finished my first strike, he had caught my Zanbato
  and prevented me from attacking.

But this man also said I was young enough to get better. So I asked him to train me.
Sure he was a drunkard, but he was also good enough to stop my attack while blasted
out of his mind. He accepted and under his guidance, I learned to fight with a rod. I can
tell he was impressed with my dedication and skill, because he was very
complimentary whenever I mastered a particularly difficult new technique.

The training did not last, however. After just over a year, the man left leaving only a note
  which said:
"I am not worthy to officially teach you the way of the rod. But with your talent you
need not master it fully, just combine what I have taught with your original art of the
long blade. There is nothing more to teach you, go forth and complete your quest. -
    From Kong"

So I followed his advice and continued on my quest for Soul Edge, still unsure as to
exactly whether it was the sword of salvation or a demonic blade, but a lot more
confident in my abilities and ready for whatever challenge may come my way.

Here's a picture of Hwang

Isn't he cute
